| Adding thumbnail to hyperlink in Notes Posted: 26 May 2020 02:54 PM PDT If I copy a URL from Safari or elsewhere - let's say http://www.reddit.com and post it into Notes I get a fully functional link which I can click but it's quite unfriendly. Is there a way I can attach an image or friendly text to this so I can just click a word or image to go to the link, similar to the way a link shows an image in the Message app. [link] [comments]  |

| How to factory reset iphone 8, but cannot access iCloud Posted: 26 May 2020 10:18 AM PDT Hello, Is it possible to factory reset an iphone 8 with no possible icloud access? We were in the process of migrating an elderly (80s) friend from an iphone 5 to an 8. Cox took the liberty of deleting her email account since she did not use it for 6 months. Of course, her icloud password was long gone/forgotten and now the email used to create it is gone with NO help from Cox. We did not realize this until we were in the process of activating the new 8. Now the 8 is stuck on wanting to validate an iCloud account that we do not have the password for and cannot retrieve it. The 8 will not nuke itself back to the initial out-of-box hello screen setup assistant without taking care of the icloud issue (unless I am unaware of the correct process. Volume keys then lock key reboot does not work). We set her up a new icloud bound to gmail, airdropped her pictures to an ipad on that account, and now we want to nuke the iphone 8 fresh and put it on the new gmail icloud and then destroy/discard the 5. Both phones are sprint. Is this a painfully obvious fix and Im just not seeing it? Thank you all. [link] [comments]  |

| Reinstalling an iOS (or a potential factory reset?) Posted: 26 May 2020 08:46 AM PDT I have a XS Max running 13.5, but ever since mid-November (whatever version of 13 was running) I did a factory settings reset and then started facing issues with the search feature not working on native apps (notes, settings, spotlight search, etc). As of Sunday, I updated to 13.5 and noticed that the coronavirus tracking feature wasn't showing up anywhere (I live in America, a country where it's available) and the mask detection/immediate passcode prompt doesn't work, either. After all that happened, I decided to set my phone into recovery mode and reinstall the iOS. Initially, the search feature worked, but it stopped working several hours later (yes, I restarted my phone). Anyways, does it sound like I'd have to do a factory reset? If so, would I lose any of my apps, contacts, photos, login info, etc? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone audio cuts out completely when I receive phone call? Posted: 26 May 2020 08:41 AM PDT Problem happened after I had my IPhone 7 hooked up to the car through a charging cord. I got a phone call at the exact time I shut the vehicle off and unplugged it. All of a sudden the audio no longer works for call only. I was able to use headphones at first to talk, but now when I get a phone call it shows no options to switch to headphones, speakerphone, or regular. It's grayed out and shows no Bluetooth connection immediately and only when getting a call. People can't hear me either when I'm talking. Zero noise. Was able to talk through my sync in my truck over the weekend but that's it. No problems with audio whatsoever except purely phone calls. [link] [comments]  |

Not the phone the app like just now I was watching YouTube and I left to go do something but decided It can wait and BOOM frozen.
