    Today I added most of the high-res assets that I added in low-res yesterday, but It's way more than I expected, this is gonan take a while I believe, but the results are just way too good, everything lines up correctly, it's just amazing. Tomorrow I'm gonna work on this and that and hopefully get as much done as possible, I don't have any plans tho.

    OS X Aqua (Cheetah etc.) Theme?

    I'm still in love with old aqua theme, and i've been wondering, is there any way to make new Mac Os look like old 10.0-4 OS X? I have found themes for Linux based platforms, but nothing for Mac Os. Only thing i'm found is Sierra theme for OS X Tiger(vice versa)

    Is there any way to compress the whole photos library?

    I have a really big photo library and I would love to reduce the file size of the photos inside the library. Is there any automated way to reduce the dimensions and/or the compression?

    I have most of my photos in full res on an external drive so the photo library is just a way for me to sync the photos to my iPhone.

    [Question] How do I use Preview to copy an image from PDF into another program?

    I've been trying to copy pictures from within a PDF by double clicking to highlight the image, command+C and then command+V into Discord, but it's not being pasted. It seems like it's copying the empty text.

    I realise I can screenshot the image, but this isn't ideal. I remember being able to do this before updating to Catalina; is there a hidden setting somewhere?

    edit: seems to paste into certain apps (Notes) but not others (Discord, Anki)

    Problem with OS Catalina?

    Since I upgraded to Catalina, my Mac has been crashing once
    or twice a day. I haven't had so shutdowns since the 1980s.

    Has anyone else been experiencing this?

    Does Apple know about it?

    Any ideas?

    Choose web browser every time

    I'm using my company laptop a lot these days and I want to split my personal browsing from the work one. Do you know any app which does something like directing link to precise browser, or an easier (maybe much preferred) way to just choose at each link opening?

    USB-C Suddenly stopped working for my MacBook Air

    Hey,

    So I have been using my air to display on to my monitor through the HDMI port on the Aukey USB-C hub. Although, a few days ago it just stopped working. Only the HDMI stopped working, the USB A ports seem to be working fine it. I had been using it for a good two weeks. So I tried my brothers USB-C hub with the HDMI. That still gave no success. So I tried on his monitor and it worked fine.

    Does anyone have any idea why HDMI would suddenly stop working on my monitor? My monitor seems to work fine for everything else but a USB-C hub. I have a Spectre monitor.

    Different wallpaper on laptop vs monitors?

    So, when at my desk I have my MBP closed and plugged into a triple monitor setup and would like to use a 5760x1080 wallpaper. I can make that happen, but a 5760x1080 wallpaper looks like crap on the laptops internal screen. What I would like is when i plug my laptop into my monitors, it switches to a 5760x1080 wallpaper, but when unplugged to switch to a different wallpaper that better fits the MBPs resolution. I assume I cant do this out of the box right? Any 3rd party apps that can do this?

    Hey there,

    I have the following problem with Time Machine:
    - My file server (SMB) is a Mac mini on the local network. (MMS)

    - My external HDD is mounted on the MMS and is JHFS+ (also tried w/ APFS)

    - Whenever I start a Backup, I get the following error message on the client:

    The network backup disk could not be accessed because there was a problem with the network username or password. You may need to re-select the backup disk and enter the correct username and password.

    What can I do to resolve that issue?

    It's kinda driving me nuts because I can't find a solution to that problem.

    Oh, and upgrading to Catalina isn't an option right now, bc of compatibility issues.

    [HELP] Adding Canon iR-ADV 6275 to mac

    I've been trying to add my office's printer to my Mac, but am having issues. I've installed the correct PS driver and verified the IP address is active and open, but when adding the printer I get the message

    Unable to verify the printer on your network.

    Unable to connect to '<IP Address>' due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?

    Does anyone have experience or suggestions on how to get this added? Thank you

    Can’t type Japanese/Chinese character

    This is a fresh Catalina 10.15.4 install. After installing, when I am in Japanese hiragana mode, anything I type it just comes out as English and not Japanese. Chinese pinyin input also doing the same. macOS installed in Japanese and system language is Japanese

    Hi

    I have no internet since update Catalina 10.15.4. Before I did the update everything was working perfectly but since then I can't access the internet. I've tried rebooting, I've tried Safe Mode, nothing works.

    Any ideas?

    Transfer music to kids iPhone without his music getting intermingled with mine?

    I have a MBP and want to be able to transfer music I pick to my son's iPhone but I didn't want his music to suddenly become part of my iTunes library.

    Is there a simple way I can connect his phone and then add the music to him phone without iTunes wanting to suddenly add it to mine?

    I know I attempted this few years ago on windows and it involved 3rd party apps and some workaround.

    I just want to keep things clean and compartmentalized.

    Odd Ethernet Behavior MacBook Air 2017

    Hey All, so I have a 2017 MacBook Air (Thunderbolt 2) and my ethernet speeds will not go over 200Mbps , even though I have 400/20 from the ISP. I have run a ton of tests, and wanted to get the communities opinion. Here is what I have done so far:

    - All other wired devices get 350Mbs+
    - Plugged directly into the modem
    - Apple Thunderbolt 2 adapter
    - Multiple USB to Ethernet Adapters
    - Multiple Ethernet cables
    - OWC Thunderbolt 2 dock
    - Another MacBook Air 2017
    - macOS 10.13, 10.14 and 10.15

    All of the above produce the same 150-200Mbps results. Get this, when I plug in a Razor Core X (eGPU) I get speeds as advertised.

    So I guess I have 2 questions: 1, why is this happening and 2, is there a fix?

    MacBook Pro early 2015 13 battery problem

    My mac's battery is draining really fast. For example when only running safari with one plugin (Wipr) the battery can last maybe 2 hours when I have 100%. It always says that safari is using significant energy. I have tried to reset the mac, but it didn't help.
