| iPhone 8 freezes when using built-in files app. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 08:20 PM PDT When moving things around in files the app will sometimes become unresponsive. Afterwards, regardless of whether I close the app the entire phone freezes up, on attempting to shut it down (or maybe it does it on its own) it goes to the spinning symbol with a black screen and stays there until the battery dies. This is not the first time this has happened and I have tried all the recommended ways to force shutdown, including ones for other models. Eventually I just let the battery die while I sleep as it was close to dying both times, which solved the issue. Unfortunately this time the battery was at 100% when it froze and I would like a quicker solution if possible. My PS4 controller can still connect to my phone while this is happening if that makes any difference. tl;dr files app makes my phone stuck on turning off, and I want to know if I'm trying to force shutdown wrong or if I just need to wait for the battery to die? If police receive a warrant or subpoena to obtain a record of the texts (what was actually said), will Apple hand it over? Does Apple keep records of the content of text messages? | Posted: 20 Apr 2020 06:48 PM PDT This is kinda worrying me because I'm kind of afraid a third party drops my calls, even though I don't know this is possible. This started yesterday, and yesterday was way worse and happening almost all the time, and right now it happened again. I was talking with my girlfriend over facebook messenger and the call just dropped, suddenly. We tried calling over "normal" calls if you may but it also kept happening. This has not happened to me before and I'm kind of afraid, does anyone know why this could be happening? It just drops the calls without notice, and sometimes even right after they drop and I answer a call again, it would immediately drop. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 06:46 PM PDT I've tried recording a custom message and saving it, but my phone just automatically goes back to the default option. I've tried calling myself and accessing my voicemail (I can't do that, it doesn't give me the option of listening to my voicemails). Nothing is working and I am at my wit's end. I get calls from my boss/coworkers on this phone, and it's stuck on a stupid prank voicemail greeting I picked in high school. Please, please help me delete my default voicemail greeting. | Posted: 20 Apr 2020 03:06 PM PDT My little brother's iPhone 6s stopped charging and we were able to find and get out a bunch of dust and debris in the charging port (being very careful) and it still won't charge. The phone was already at 6% when he showed me and now it's dead and there was no indication of charging when I had plugged it in before it died (and after we had cleaned it). | iPhone “end current call button” Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:39 PM PDT No matter what iPhone I have, I always run into this issue. When I am on a call and receive another call at the same time the screen will pop up with options. End current call and accept, decline call, or hold current call and accept. However, no matter what I select it will always end both calls. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to prevent this from happening? It doesn't matter what phone I have, it's happened on my iPhone 6, 8+, and now my 11 pro Max, And I always keep my phones up to date on the software. Any tips would be appreciated! | 11 Pro Max screen goes black on calls from lockscreen Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:51 AM PDT IOS 13.4.1 When I unlock the phone and place a call, it immediately shuts off the screen, as if the proximity sensor kicks in, even though I'm not covering the sensor. If I force the screen back on with the side button, hang up, and then call again, everything is fine and the proximity sensor does its job like normal. It only occurs when I try to place a call, directly following a wake-up of the device. The sensors are clean, and this never happened before iOS 13.4. I have a lot of pictures on my phone and was trying to delete/transfer some of them to make space. But as soon as I do that the memory that was occupied by the photos goes straight to 'Others' on my iPhone. | Email header issue with forwarded email Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:47 AM PDT I have a registered domain with email forwarding. During testing the email forwarding, I sent an email to my domain (12345@12345.com fake email) with a simple one line of text, which was forwarded to my iCloud account. When I open the iCloud email on my iMac and MacBook using the Apple email client the email opens normally. Just the simple one line of text. The email client INBOX shows the sender, subject, and first line of the email body. No problems everything normal. But, when I open the email client on my iPhone, the INBOX shows sender, and subject. But instead of first line of the email body, it shows a bunch of the email header. Opening the email it shows the entire email header then the original single text line. I then sent two other test emails, from my iMac and MacBook. Opening on the iPhone the INBOX shows the same as the first email. The email itself, just shows the single text line I had sent. To research this, my son sent an email from his iMac to the domain account using his gmail account using the gmail web app. That email opened normally on my iPhone. He then sent another email to the domain account using his iCloud account from his iMac using Apple email client. This email exhibited the same header information. All my other email on the iPhone is normal. My son and I believe that there is some setting on the iPhone that is causing this issue. Has anyone seen this before? [link] [comments]  |

And also I can't watch videos it screen stays black and even if I put it to full screen it's stays black and doesn't give me an image. | Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:10 AM PDT I'm new to this phone and i was going to take a screenshot so i held the power button and the volume down button since i was used to that coming from a samsung. My phone started vibrating and it put me back to the lock screen while it was playing some sort of alert noise that it played around 3 or 4 times before stopping. What does this mean?
