| Posted: 26 Apr 2020 05:14 PM PDT I have an iPhone XR and my girlfriend has an iPhone 11. Every time I call her I hear an echo on FaceTime, yet it doesn't happen on anyone else that I FaceTime. She insists it's my phone because her phone is newer, but I don't think that's the case, are there ways to figure out the issue? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:28 PM PDT So I personally use Android phones for everything, however my wife is a fan of apples products, she uses the XR but we have her old phones such as the 7 and the iphone 5. The iPhone 7 is setup with her current apple ID however the iphone 5 was attached to an old ID that is now defunct, she had the same issue with her Ipad Mini 2 but she got that sorted by apple, because she doesn't use this phone however she just left it how it is and it has sat in a drawer. Our kids love to use the phones for education apps, so I was thinking if I can get this phone reset then my daughter can have the apps she likes installed on it, especially whilst we are in lockdown. I actually have my own account logged into the store part of the phone, but the iCloud account "is not verified or does not exist" even when I reset the password via the email address it is linked to. Any ideas how I can sort this out myself? If I contact apple they just want my wife to speak to them and she just cannot be bothered with them (she has had them scratch her new laptop and damage the trackpad in the past year so she is reluctant to ask for help from them unless absolutely necessary) Thanks in advance [link] [comments]  |
| Browser stops loading webpages Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:17 PM PDT I have an iPhone 7 and, as far as I'm aware, the iOS is up to date. For a while now, my iPhone eventually stops loading webpages on a tab. This happens when I google something and I go back and forth clicking on multiple links (I very rarely go to websites using the address bar, so I'm not sure if it's just when searching or not). The webpages eventually just come up blank, partially load or load the top end of the page (minus the very top) and I become unable to scroll. If I click back, the webpages that previously worked fine now have the same problem. The way I can get around this is by copying and pasting the web address into a new tab and loading it up from there, where the page loads with no issues. I've tried various fixes: restarting my iPhone; closing all the tabs in the browser down and manually shutting down the app; changing the search engine; downloading and using the Firefox browser app instead of safari. I've also had a look at the safari settings but I can't find any obvious fixes. Of course, it's driving me mad. I wonder if anybody else has experienced this? About 20 minutes after the shower, lines randomly appeared on my screen. My phone works fine in terms of sound and responsiveness but the lines are just really annoying and make everything harder to read. How can I fix this at home? Thank you all. [link] [comments]  |
| Finding an app to shut down my sister's iPhone Posted: 26 Apr 2020 08:38 PM PDT Hey everyone, my family and I are android users and my sister is addicted to her iPhone 7. (The reason why I her brother is typing this and not my parents is because said parents aren't as tech savvy) She is on it CONSTANTLY. For example, today she spent at least 6 hours on Roblox (shows you her age range) and refuses to get off. I know what everyone is thinking, you should talk about this with her and try to figure something out. I agree somewhat on this and our family has already for a year plus tried to get her to understand/socialize with other people in the house. The reason she was on it so much today was that everyone was occupied with work on our property and not really laying the hammer down. We have already tried the Circle app (Netgear router had it integrated until I upgraded the firmware to DD-Wrt) and the circle sucked big time. It would sometimes not sync properly, and it had a fee monthly, etc. Screen time, that's built into IOS sometimes doesn't work and doesn't have functionality with android. Anyways, to the part of the request. Can someone show me an app other than screen time for IOS that can restrict access for her phone on a schedule and for time limits? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 26 Apr 2020 04:46 PM PDT This might not be allowed, but given the circumstances I figure I'll ask and find out. I don't use apple products at all so I'm not familiar with them. I have a close friend who's teenage brother died this week, and they're hoping to get any pictures he had on his phone. They aren't able to unlock it though, and apple is decidedly unhelpful. Is there any particular way to approach them about it, or any way to tell if the phone was backed up recently before potentially erasing everything and restoring it? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 02:22 PM PDT I have this iPhone and the Touch ID doesn't really respond when I touch the home button. Maybe very rarely it realised that I am trying to unlock through Touch ID. I thought the thing might be broken but when I unlock the phone and go to apps where my fingerprint is needed to to use the apps, I am able to use Touch ID to verify my fingerprints. So now I am confused. Why does it work with all apps except for unlocking the phone? Any clue? [link] [comments]  |

The replacement works (except for the fingerprint sensor) but my iPhone keeps automatically adding the onscreen home button every time I restart my phone. | what is “OTHER” and why is it using all my storage?? Posted: 26 Apr 2020 12:17 PM PDT So I've been having an issue with my iPhone, where I don't have enough storage to do...well anything. This really started to impact me about a week ago, I have the iPhone 11 Pro, 64gb. I had roughly 3,600 photos and videos on my phone (my phone said 27gb) and numerous apps. I started getting the pop up "no storage" so I started to comb through my photos and videos and ended up with only 1200 photos and video on my phone. So at first when I go back to the storage menu it says nothing has changed....so to google I go, I end up resetting the date manually, and see my photos have now dropped to 23gb, only 5 GB, for that many? I mean I guess. But when I look at the main storage tab, I am still at 62.3gb???? So I scroll to the bottom of that menu to see "OTHER" has now gone from 14gb, to 19gb??? So I wait a few days idk maybe hoping for it to fix itself?? Obviously nothing has happened so I think maybe I need to delete videos because that's more story probably? So I just now deleted 18min of video off my phone for photos/videos to drop from 23gb to 18gb, but my overall storage?? STILL at 62.3???? And OTHER has now gone up to 24gb??? SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE IM SO FRUSTRATED, I don't know how to fix it I just want to be able to use my phone. [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 7 boot loop DFU/recovery not working Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:42 AM PDT iPhone 7 has been stuck in boot loop for a day or so. Have tried restarting, recovery mode, and DFU to no avail. When I try to restore through recovery/DFU (this is through finder rather than iTunes), it installs the software then I get a message saying "iPhone could not be restored because firmware was corrupted". Nothing wrong with my phone before this happened, hasnt been dropped or water damaged etc. I'm not sure if I am not performing the DFU reset properly but have been following guides to do it. Is there anything else I can try or will it need taken in somewhere? [link] [comments]  |

| Need help transferring photos and videos from iPhone 11 to Windows 10. Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:05 AM PDT As the title explains. I'v tried using the windows "Photos" app, but it is not working. The app almost immediately just gives me an error that says "something went wrong" and states "Your files might not have been imported". I have also tried file explorer to no avail. I try copy pasting and it just says "The device is unreachable" as soon as I try pasting the files/folders. I want to sell the phone as I need the money, so using apps like dr.fone is out of the question for me as it totally defeats the purpose here... [link] [comments]  |
