    Looking for help fixing my iPod touch 5th gen

    I figured I'd get around to fixing my old ipod since it has around 6 thousand pictures I still want and after being locked out for over 2 years I thought I'd give it a shot.

    The home button was/is broken, wont click when I use the button(have to use a tool to press where the button was). All other buttons work. Screen works, just sends me to logo screen when I interact however. I currently have the screen pried off so I could access the home button.

    Whenever I hold the home button it just gives me the apple logo and never changes. It does charge and will turn on when plugged in but the logo always stays. If I turn it on it will shut back off abruptly after about 5 minutes of the logo being up.

    None of the suggested techniques that I found online worked.

    Holding power and home button turns it on for a few seconds and then shuts it back off.

    iTunes doesnt pick up my phone when plugged in.

    Computer doesnt recognize any devices as plugged in when I plug it in.

    The phone still has life in terms of battery and at least some form of OS as it does go to the logo so I'm hoping my important pictures are still okay. If I cant get onto the ipod I would still like to get my pictures back if possible.

    Recovery Mode - Bricked 7 Plus

    Hey All,

    My wife just got an iPhone 11 today. Should've been an exciting day but unfortunately did not turn out as such.

    There is a new quick setup feature when you boot the 11. Uses blue tooth and the scanning of some odd orb looking image to get the process going. My wife had started this and all was going well - 1.5h into transfer it crashes.

    Her 7 plus is now stuck in recovery mode and I cannot push new firmware to it. Her storage was maxed. I am positive this is why I cannot push firmware to update and regain access to the phone.

    Her last backup to iTunes was December, I'd I can't recover we're loosing 5 months worth of pictures of our now 11 month old son so I'm looking for any possible way to get this data without wiping the phone

    If anyone has any suggestions please let me know

    Macbook Pro 13-inch 2016 A1708 Built-in Camera Not Working

    My camera keeps flashing whenever i open up an application that uses it, like Photo Booth, but it won't work. It will continue to flash until I close the application, but the screen stays black and it won't actually capture anything. Any advice? (I have tried the basics on google relating to the issue but nothing seems to work and quarantine doesn't let me visit Apple so I'm stuck!!)

    I turned on Download and Keep Originals after optimizing phone storage a while ago, but some photos still won’t download

    I optimized my photos a while ago but I wanted to download and keep original, so I did that. It's been a couple months or more since then and some photos still have the exclamation point in the bottom right side, and it says that there was an error loading it, or something like that. I've tried editing it to make it load but it won't work. Does it have something to do with the amount of storage I have? (I'm almost full.)

    MacBook Pro 13 vs Dell XPS 13

    Good evening, I am looking for a serious comparison/advice between these two laptops or if someone tried both/their personal thoughts about this matter.

    Here is my point:

    An year ago I had to buy a laptop for studying and all basics stuff (email, few video edits, read books, internet , etc. My choice was between the Dell XPS 13 and the MacBook Pro 13. I ended up buying the Macbook for the ecosystem thing, leaving the "infinity edge" display by Dell that intrigued me.

    I recently got a display replacement (free due to this program) so the laptop is almost new (it has less than 200 cycles). I mean I love MacOS, don't get me wrong: I love the apple ecosystem (iPhone-Macbook), Continuity, etc... same for the design and the big trackpad.

    But when my MacBook was sent to repair I had to use an old laptop that was too old to run windows FAST**.**

    I hate windows btw.

    So I decided to install a copy of Ubuntu (Linux) and it was fast as a rocket. I really enjoy the "*simplicity"*of Linux like the command line/shell, the customisation and a system "more free" instead the limitations of MacOS.

    So I ended up thinking about selling my MacBook Pro and buy a Dell XPS instead.

    What do you think?

    What to do with old MacBook Pro

    Hi all I just bought a new MacBook Pro and want to transfer everything from my old MacBook to my new one using migration assistant. After transferring everything, how would I delete everything off my old MacBook so I could resell it? I'm not sure how to delete everything on that laptop. I'm also scared if I delete everything it will also be deleting info on my new MacBook as well.

    How do I turn off/change the shortcut that brings up different keyboards (video included)

    I used cmd + space as a shortcut for a lot of different programs but all of a sudden when I updated my os, it brings up this new overlay.

    Anyway I've looked through all of the shortcuts and I can't seem to find the one I need to edit. Appreciate any light you can shed on this!!

    Phantom alarms go off every weekday

    I have a phantom alarm that goes off every weekday. It goes off at 5:50 and 6:00AM every week day. It's an alarm I used to have set but deleted six months ago.

    I don't have the bedtime function turned on.

    Weirdly, if I go to sleep with my phone on silent, I receive the notification every morning that an alarm has gone off, but it doesn't actually make noise. But if I turn my sound on, it makes a noise.

    I've tried everything. Resetting an alarm at the same time and manually turning it off. Turning all alarms off. Making sure the bedtime function is turned off. Turning off all calendar notifications. Nothing has worked.

    I would like to keep my sound on during the night in case of emergencies. I also have a camera that notifies me when there is movement, and I would like that to wake me up in an emergency as well. But I have to turn my phone on silent so I don't get woken up at 10 to 6 every morning.

    Help?

    Can a lifted iphone se screen be fixed by a more secure case?

    So the screen on my iphone se looks like it's about to come off and the upper left and lower right corner are both lifted at about 1 mm.

    Can this be fixed by a more secure case? I'm thinking of buying the supcase unicorn beetle case but I'm also kind of reluctant since I'm not sure if this is a good and lasting solution.

    Is there any way to find the history of Apple IDs used on an iPad? Or anyway to find previous backup history of an iPad without knowing the Apple ID?

    I had an old iPad that I had a bunch of stuff on, but a couple years ago my mom gave it to my sister and started using another Apple ID, which erased everything that I'd had on there. I've been trying to find a previous backup of the iPad with some Apple ID, but none of the ones I've tried have had any backup for this particular iPad. Is there anyway I can find a history for which Apple ID I used? Is there any other way I can find a backup if I don't know which Apple ID I used?

    Seeking help picking a new iPad

    Hi all! Thanks for your time 🙂

    I am a designer and have been ready to make a career change. I'm looking into an iPad w procreate to help build my portfolio. I already have an Apple Pencil but just need to upgrade to a newer iPad.

    Given the current economic climate, I'm not able to drop $700-1200. However, 3-400 I could do...

    Right now I am looking at the "New Apple iPad (10.2-Inch, Wi-Fi, 32GB) - Space Gray (Latest Model)"

    I'd hate to buy something solely for procreate/designing and then not have it do what I need it to. Any and all suggestions and help is welcomed! 🖤 Am I buying too cheap? Will I have issues running procreate and similar drawing apps?

    First gen AirPods (I think..not the one with the charging case, purchased Aug 2019) in which I believe the mic has never worked for anything.

    Before quarantine, I had only received a handful of calls while using my AirPods. They never worked, but I didn't really think much of it. I probably tried them like... 5 times. I was also having AirPod/volume issues with my 2018 MacBook Air and had talked to Apple about it. I was simply told "you need to keep your MacBook up to date.", well, that didn't work. I ended up having to reset the SMC/NVRAM to get them to work properly on my Mac, so I thought it was more of a laptop issue than an AirPod issue, kinda neglecting the fact they never worked on my phone before.

    However since quarantine, I have been part of what seems like endless video chats and my AirPods have not worked during a single one, it doesn't matter if its my iPhone or MacBook. I can hear well but no one can hear me at all. I've tried left/right/alternating and it doesn't make a difference. I have also tried resetting my AirPods numerous times, kept them up to date, have disconnected/reconnected millions of times, as well as resetting my phone, messing with my laptop settings, everything. Even if I go to test my audio on Skype, it picks up nothing. The audio bar just stays 100% grey, and the test call also picks up nothing.

    This is absolutely driving my crazy. I take great care of all of my Apple products and I'm really angry I paid so much for earbuds that can't do something as simple as take a phone call.
