    Would Apple LIE about replacing my battery?

    My partner's SE battery was 'replaced' by Apple 'under warranty' in Dec-19 Dec-18 when coconut battery was showing 88% of design capacity. The 'genius' said "that's normal wear", but I told him I would pay anyway to have it changed. It was with them for a couple of days before we picked it up again, and I was told my another genius that I would not be charged for it. I didn't think to redo the Coconut Battery after the replacement or check the battery health.

    Skip forward to Apr-20, and my partner is upgrading. So I restored the phone, and out of interest, downloaded coconut battery again, but it's saying the battery is now 1,027 days old, has done 527 cycles, and is 85% of its original capacity. For accuracy, I downloaded iMazing which shows 88%, and the iPhone's software shows 90%.

    My question is if Coconut Battery's results are correct, it is impossible that the battery has done 527 cycles in 6 months, and it would imply from the age that they never actually replaced it. This would explain their generosity in affording me a 'free replacement'.

    Why isn't my iPhone 8+ charging? Tried two different chargers?

    I tried two different chargers (both are brand new), shut down my phone (which I can't turn back on because it's dead) and my phone just does not seem to charge at all. I tried cleaning the charging port, and it seems clean to me. Do I need to go to my telecommunications company and see what's wrong with the phone (since Apple is closed)? What should I do?

    My stupid solution to fix the mail app popping up out of nowhere.

    We all know what happens to the mail app and how frustrating it is.

    I tried everything, formatted the laptop, changed multiple email accounts, tried minimizing the app but still, it kept on opening up eating half of the screen.

    So I came up with something stupid.

    I opened the mail app on a full screen and allocated one desktop screen for the mail app. The last desktop screen is my mail app, easy to access, always on and most importantly, it doesn't pop up out of anywhere during a video call or a video or literally anything.

    It works for me. All I do is use three fingers till I reach the last desktop, check mails, again three fingers and I'm back at work

    OR

    Three fingers up, click mail desktop, check mail, get back to work.

    P.S: If you open any new app, the mail app will be the last one, always.

    Life is better now. :)

    iPhone X stuck at lock screen!

    So I would like to get pictures off my old iPhone X. I have no backups in iTunes or iCloud and I can't connect to my computer to get them. The screen is destroyed and only about an inch up from the bottom works. I'm able to enter my password using reach ability, but when I enter the last digit it freezes for around 30 seconds and goes to a black screen with a spinning wheel, then goes back to the lock screen for the process to repeat. After a few times doing this it says something like "swipe up for recovery" and after it goes through it's process it takes me right back to the lock screen. The big problem with this is that I can't unlock to trust the computer, so I can't take the photos off it.

    I ran out of storage on iCloud so the photos are not on there. And before anyone says something about replacing the screen, give me a break I'm in school I need all the money I can save! 😂

    Apple support couldn't help. Hopefully one of you can. I appreciate the help in advance.

    Just updated to 13.4.1 and now have no access to my iCloud photos.

    Did an update last night and once it was done I needed to send a photo, yet only 200 showed up in my photo app out of 10,000 actual photos. Now I'm not sure what to do... restore and hope?

    Havent been able to unlock apple id for 2 years

    Havent been able to unlock my apple id for my iphone 7 for 2 years now. Forgot the birth date i put in for it and i never receive the email. Cant even sign out of the account. Already contacted apple support and they did nothing. Any idea how to get out of this, or should i start making plans to get a new phone

    A QuickTime screen recording appears to be corrupted, anything I can do to recover it?

    I'm using a MacBook Pro. I screen recorded a video using QuickTime for about 20 minutes. When I tried to save, it would show me a window saying "cannot open." I tried sharing to to airdrop, YouTube, and it would briefly say "this media may be damaged." I went in and found the unsaved QuickTime document, and got the MOV file, but it would only show me about four minutes of the video. I tried putting it in VLC, and the video closed at that point. I also tried screen recording the screen recording (the audio wasn't important), but that only played until about seven minutes in. I can't re-record this, is there anything I can do to fix it?

    QuickTime won’t record my screen anymore

    I cannot record my screen anymore. QuickTime just stops the recording at any random time. It's not a lack of space as I've got about 70+ GB left but it wouldn't even record being a few hundred MB or around 2-3 minutes.

    Mac stuck on “loading” after restoring from Time Machine

    I upgraded my iMac (21.5" late 2012 model running macOS Catalina) from a HDD to a new SSD. I made the switch, formatted the new hard drive for macOS, and restored from a time machine backup. However, as I try to boot up for the first time after restoring, it gets stuck with the "loading" bar basically full and has been sitting like that for a good half hour.

    Did I do something wrong in my formatting/restoring/boot process, or am I just being impatient?

    MacBook Pro early 2011 not booting

    I had recently restored my machine and when in to reinstall a clean copy of Mac OSX Lion as that is what the internet recovery has me do, when I try to download Lion it throws a bunch of nonsense numbers for the estimated time remaining and then fails to download saying "Can't download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X" Please help I just want to get my Mac back.

    Airpods pro perfect with iOS, unreliable with Macbook Air

    Hi, I have Airpods Pro that I love, and they always connect flawlessly with iPhone and iPad. But when I try to use it with my Macbook Air (new as of a year ago), it usually is a terrible experience - when I connect via the Bluetooth menu it generally connects, but when I actually try to switch from the Macbook's internal speakers in the sound menu, it often either hangs for 20ish seconds and then goes back to the internal speakers; claims to have switched but no apps will play sound through it; or a variety of confusing behavior (I can hear people in a call but they can't hear me, or vice versa). Often I need to restart my computer altogether to get it to connect at all, all this hassle has made me resort to always try to avoid using my Airpods Pro with my Macbook but sometimes it's unavoidable.

    iPhone 11 file not compatible with iMovie, causing crash on Yosemite

    Hi all - I've run into an interesting situation. My parents haven't updated their computer in a while, so they are running iMovie '09 on Yosemite on their iMac desktop.

    I've been working on a video collage for work today, adding jpegs, .MOV, mp3 and mp4 flies without a hitch...up until now.

    I received a video that was shot on an iPhone 11, and when I downloaded the MOV file to the computer, it wasn't able to run in QuickTime. I converted it to mp4 and QuickTime was able to run it. I then tried uploading it to iMovie, where it crashed.

    And even after I stopped trying to upload it, iMovie keeps crashing. I moved the files to the trash and emptied trash, and iMovie still crashes frequently, which it never did before I tried uploading that file from the iPhone 11.

    Has anyone dealt with this before or have any idea on how to fix it?

    Is my new iPad air broken?

    Hello everyone. I just bought a new iPad air from Target this weekend but I just noticed today while reading this bluish line at the top of the screen that appears to span the entire screen in some apps but not in others.

    Does anyone know what this is? Is my iPad broken? Is this normal? If so, what is it? Hopefully the images in here are easy to see what I mean.

    iPod is disabled connect to iTunes help

    After having a go at trying to unlock my old iPod having forgotten my passcode, (but having some sort of idea of what it could be) I have gotten the wrong passcode enough that is says: iPod is disabled connect to iTunes. I sadly don't have any backup's of it anywhere, and whenever I look up fixes for it, it just has videos and articles saying how to factory reset it, which completely ruins the point of wanting to unlock it, because the only reason I want to unlock it is to see what's on there. So is there any possible way to get access to my iPod.

    IMac (late 2012) Disk Utility won’t open

I have done command + r to open up disk utility but my computer screen stays white (tried 10 times) also I have tried other commands I have seen and it has not worked.     Can anyone help me with my YouTube experience while running Safari?

    I have a MacBook Air running 10.11.6 and it's all up to date. I prefer to use Safari as my browser and for some reason my comments on YouTube videos won't post. I can't seem to be able to find the fix to save my life. Is this Google being assholes and making the Safari experience shit on purpose? I really don't like google chrome. Anyone have any clue what's going on here?

    The other thing that I've noticed the doesn't work is that when I press on my account, the drop down box appears but nothing comes up and that little circle just spins forever. I attached a picture of what I mean. But my main gripe is about the comments not posting but I imagine it's related. Any thoughts/advice is much appreciated. Thank you very much.
