    Mail App randomly opens in split screen while using Netflix only. (since Catalina update)

    It happens every 20 mins or so.

    I've unchecked the box In Mail->Preferences "Prefer opening messages in split view when in full screen. Does not fix the issue. I did research on internet and I literally just found the link below while writing this post:

    I haven't tried yet as I've got 9 or so Gmail addresses and it'll be super annoying if I have to do this for each account and does not fix crap.Also the link is 6 months old (does that mean the issue is not related to Catalina?)

    Has anyone experienced this and/or knows how to fix it ?

    I just upgraded to Catalina 10.15.4 a week ago. Thank you !

    HELP! I am and idiot and sent my Airpods through the wash

    So I accidentally sent my AirPods (NOT THE CASE) through the wash. And one airpod went through the dryer and the other one fell out and stayed in the washer.

    I quickly went to see if they would work and one worked, the other didn't. I checked the battery life thing (iPhone) and One was 79% charged while the other was 23%. The 23% charged side is the one that didn't work.

    So do I give it time to charge? What do I do? Help

    MacBook Pro to HDMI - Thunderbolt adapter?

    Will this set-up work?

    I am taking dance classes via zoom and it's been very helpful for me to mirror my screen with the tv. What I find though is that the audio and video don't line up because of my crappy wifi.

    I am planning on hardwiring the internet to my MacBook, then using a thunderbolt to HDMI to connect to my tv. I need both sound and audio.

    I have a 2012 MacBook Pro so it does not have an HDMI port.

    Does this sound like a solid plan? I want to make sure I'm on the right track before ordering the adapter.

    iPad Pro order still processing. Should I contact apple support?

    So, I recently ordered a iPad Pro 4th gen and it had 3-5 day shipping, it's been more than 5 days and it is still processing my order. I also ordered an Apple Pencil which was shipped on time, so I'm guessing it is because the iPad is in high demand. I don't know wether to wait it out until it ships or contact Apple at this point. Is it normal for this to happen?

    One iMessage thread went missing on my phone and refuses to sync from my Mac?!

    I woke up this morning to my group text with my two best friends missing on my phone. All of my other texts threads are fine but this thread was strangely wiped blank except for a random text from 3/18 and texts sent today. The thread is still on my Mac and I can't for the life of me get it back on my phone. Is it possible? I've turned off/on iMessage on both devices, signed in/out. Not sure what else to do? I'm signed in on the same Apple ID on both devices. I've tried texted from both devices to see if that would force a sync. No dice. Any help is greatly appreciate. I don't know why one random text thread went missing. It's super frustrating.

    What is wrong with scrolling on Mac Catalina?

    I have a normal mouse, not the Magic Mouse. Ever since I updated to Catalina the mouse scrolling is all messed up. Worked fine on other versions. Every time I scroll with the scroll wheel it jitters. I've dealt with it for months and I just can't take it anymore. I swear I can scroll down a mile and it'll scroll up 2 lines.

    My scrolling works fine on other computers.

    Any workarounds? I'm going to implode if I have to keep dealing with it.

    [NSFW] A streaming video website has an AirPlay option (macOS Safari), but it doesn't end up streaming to my Apple TV

    I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) and an Apple TV 4K. When I go to Pornhub, their video player has an AirPlay button but I cannot actually get it to successfully stream to my Apple TV. It works on other websites, and it works streaming from my iPhone and iPad to my Apple TV. How do I fix this?

    I have this issue over a year i think. i don't know how it started. but it just weird, my mic doesnt working on creation app like voice memo, adobe premiere, finalcutpro, etc. But it work when i do facetime and I can still see the levels is moving when i open mic in system preference.

    and also this mic is work normal when I using it from new user i created. I called and chat apple so many times but nothing helpful.

    they suggest me to get rid of this user and start over to create the new one. but its such a pain if I start over.

    Add Funds To Foreign Apple ID Account.

    I created a Chinese Apple ID and now I'm trying to add funds to it.
    Does anyone know if the gift cards are different for Chinese accounts? I can't use a credit card because I don't have a Chinese one and it doesn't let me add it.

    Apple TV+ Sucks on PC... here's why

    First off, this will no work. You need to download either Google Chrome or the Brave browser. Doing so you will be able to stream the Apple TV+ shows, but they will look terrible; at least for me. My display is 1440p and it looks worst than some YouTube videos that are more than 10 years old.

    I have even tried paying... yes, PAYING for the codec Microsoft offers in its store, 'HEVC Video Extensions'. It was only $0.99. It allowed me to now be able to use Apple TV+ streaming on Apple's website... at the SAME quality I had for free on both of the other browsers mentioned above. SMH.

    I search far and wide on the Internet, found a post that said something to the effect of use the URL: edge://flags and ENABLE PlayReady DRM for Windows 10. Which I did and restarted the browser. Same results. Streaming that looks like 480p.

    I tried streaming on my iPhone XS Max, looks great in HD 1080p or above. I used my Apple TV to stream, the same results, looks great.

    I just want to use my beautiful 27" 1440p 144Hz display to watch some great film, as I do to view: YouTube in 1440p, Netflix and Hulu in 1080p or above.

    Is that too hard to ask for?

    Setting up new HomePod with new MacBook Pro?

    I'm new to all apple products, so I may be naive here, but I can find no resources on how to set up a homePod using my MacBook. Is this not possible? It seems like there should be a way to do this, but all I find are instructional for iPhone, iPad, iPod. I have none of these. Do I need to own one just to set up this homePod?

    Can't use WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time, one always drops

    I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with macOS Catalina 10.15.4, an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 13.4, and AirPods (first-gen). I can browse the internet in my iPhone and connect my AirPods to it perfectly. However, on my Mac, there's a slight problem.

    When I connected my AirPods to my Mac, the Wi-Fi just stopped working. The Mac was still connected, but no internet connection, not even to my local network, like if it was frozen. However, the bluetooth was very stable and I was able to continue listening to music even if the Wi-Fi froze. I used to solved that problem by disconnecting the Wi-Fi and connecting it back again, but it was happening every 5 minutes, so it became very annoying.

    I found that people were having the same problem, so I executed the following on my terminal: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.airport.bt.plist bluetoothCoexMgmt Hybrid and of course proceeded to restart my Mac.

    That definitely solved the Wi-Fi issue, I am now able to browse the internet. However, now everytime I use the internet, the AirPods start to cut out. If I am to open Google, for example, while listening to a song, the song will cut out until the website's loaded. This of course makes watching videos impossible as there is no sound because I am using the Wi-Fi.

    I found this solution here, and it did make the AirPods connection a bit more stable, but it's still terrible.

    All of that lead me to think this is a software problem with the Mac and not a hardware problem, so, does anyone have a solution for it?

    EDIT 1: This just happens when the AirPods are connected to the Mac directly. I can connect the AirPods to the iPhone and have them both right next to the Mac, and the Mac's WiFi will perform normally.

    iPadOS and CAD drawing - touchpad support

    I tried the trackpad inclusion on iOS and it's pretty good. I'd like to try doing some CAD work on iOS. I already use fusion360 and a magic touchpad on my mac and am comfortable with that but it's crashy and slow. I see shapr still requires a pencil and I can't make head of tails out of onshape. Are there any other decent options with touchpad or mouse support yet?

    Safari displaying "This connection is not private" on every website

    I've had this message before, but usually it comes when visiting a site that just straight up looks untrustworthy.

    A little earlier though, this message came up whenever I tried to visit any site on my Mac. I tried on my iPhone too. That didn't show the message, but it also wouldn't load any sites. My iPhone was basically behaving as it does when my internet goes down.

    After a few minutes it went back to normal, so I'm not too concerned. Just curious what might have caused this? It seems bizarre to get such a message on sites like Gmail and then for my phone not to work either. The Safari message mentions the possibility of "attackers", which sounds a bit ominous.

    Can you control Mac Pro (3,4,5) RAM Speed?

    My Mac Pro can take 1066 speed DDR3 and 1333. Ram of similar families is backwards compatible. But is there a way to force the memory to a specific speed?

    I ask because 1066 runs totally fine, but 1333 runs super hot and causes the fans to rev up to audibly loud levels.

    I just got 32 GB of 1866 which will likely fall down to 1333 and run just fine. But I really want it to run at 1066 instead. Is there a sane way to do this? Mine is originally a MacPro3,1 flashed up to a MacPro5,1.
