I'm stealing this from a Daring Fireball footnote but I thought it was cool enough to show to more people here. The 1984 Mac control panel was designed by Susan Kare, and is notable for being completely understandable despite not having any explanatory text. One of the settings was for the keyboard repeat rate, with one end of the bar denoting "slow" with a tortoise and the other end denoting "fast" with a hare.

The new iPad cursor control copies this, again showing the tortoise and the hare around the slider. The hare's direction has been reversed for a little more consistency, but still, it feels like a cool little Easter egg.

A lot of reviews (written and video) are mentioning you can only click on the Magic Keyboard's trackpad. Not true. You can enable Tap to Click via Settings -> General -> Trackpad
