ShadowDraw App is amazing for non-artist Posted: 31 Mar 2020 05:56 AM PDT I purchased my iPP (w/ Pencil) for school and work related note taking but I've always admired the artistic possibilities of using the iPad and Pencil. This app is amazing for helping non-artists, such as myself, break the menacing image of a blank canvas and I'm sharing this app for those who might be interested in digital drawing. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:10 PM PDT I have a 2019 IPad 4G but it was recently dropped, I was using the case the Apple store employees told me was the most protective case. But, now there is a line of dead pixels at the bottom. Is this covered by warranty? [link] [comments]
iPad Deployment for Covid Response Posted: 31 Mar 2020 07:26 AM PDT Hey Everyone, Let me preference this with I've never used an iPad or Facetime before so my apologies if the answer is simple My hospital gave my department a supply of iPads on wheels so that patients can facetime with their loved ones while we have suspended visitation. We were provided an apple ID to use if the patient does not have their own apple id or cannot make their own. First problem is, if we have multiple ipads out with the same apple ID, if someone is calling in to speak to a patient they just got off facetime with, it rings to all the ipads with that ID. Thankfully we only had one deployed at the time when we discovered this and the rest were in our office. Second problem is, when a patient is done using it, it is returned to our office for a data wipe before being redeployed but it doesn't stop someone from calling the iPad, using the ID we provided, looking for their patient who gave back the iPad that has been given to another patient. Can we adjust the settings so that the ipads can only make outgoing calls and block all incoming calls? Is the only solution to the apple ID issue to create a unique apple id for each ipad? Please know that i know how much of a shitshow this sounds like but the intention is to support families in crisis. Thanks for any advice. [link] [comments]

iPad 12.9 (2019) - Terrible battery Posted: 31 Mar 2020 08:29 AM PDT I've been using this iPad for 1 month now, and it lasts max 5-6 hours. It barely lasts an entire day of work. Even if I leave it idle, with the screen on, it still drains quickly. My troubleshooting - disabled Bluetooth/LTE (airplane mode) - turned off background refresh for major apps - no emails installed - YouTube takes up 46% of my battery life - brightness is usually 60-80% [link] [comments]
I can’t for the life of me find any hardshell back only case for the 11 inch iPad Pro Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:02 AM PDT I have a first gen iPad Pro 11 that I've had for almost a year now. I bought a thick tough case for it thinking it would be temporary until more cases come to the market with no avail. I've searched everywhere for a back only snap on case, originally wanting a thin carbon fibre or Kevlar case but that seems next to impossible since not even manufacturers on ali baba make them. My only option now is to by a snap on folio and peal off the skin and folio part, but that seems a little too extreme for something that could be just purchased without all that junk glued on in the first place. I understand the appeal of folio covers but that's not what I want and I feel like I'm in the minority when it comes to that opinion. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, if any of you have the same issue, what did you end up with that's the closest to it? [link] [comments]
Left bottom side of ipad pro 11 inch(2019) gets hot Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:05 PM PDT When the brightness is more than 70 percent or when I use garageband, notability and other intensive apps like such , the left bottom side gets warm. Not too hot but irritatingly warm ,especially when the brightness is maximum. Does anyone have any advice on the topic? The tablet is only 3 months old. Ps. Using the cover or not does not change the issue [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:57 AM PDT Hey y'all I was just wondering about how capable Lumafusion is when editing short films/videos? How are the presets and can I seamlessly add transitions with no problem? I don't want my film to look too amateurish tbh. I'd pretty much just like to know the pros and cons before I commit to purchasing it. Thank you 🙏🏿 [link] [comments]

iPad Pro (1st gen) 13.4 using a Logitech M350 Pebble Mouse Posted: 31 Mar 2020 08:25 AM PDT I binded my buttons to do different things but it says I have to use assistive touch to use those buttons. When i turn on assistive touch the cursor turns into the basic looking pointer we had before the update and it's really choppy compared to the new cursor. My single taps register as double taps sometimes even thought the binding is single-tap. The mouse woks fine on my other devices My question is can you only use the new cursor on an Apple branded mouse? Is anyone else having the same problem? [link] [comments]
Mouse is super jumpy - iPad 6th gen Posted: 31 Mar 2020 08:18 AM PDT So i have recently bought a blutooth wireless mouse for my iPad 6th generation. It is working, but it is a bit frustrating. The "cursor" for lack of a better word, isn't smooth. the speed changes. I cannot accurately move it across the screen without overshooting where I want to go and having to adjust. I also have problems scrolling. For some reason the scrolling is inverted, and doesn't actually work hardly at all. i will sit there scrolling for 10 seconds and it might jump down a few pixels. The mouse works perfectly on my computer. Do others have these problems? Will they be fixed in the future? Do I have these problems because I am using an older iPad and not an iPad pro? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:13 PM PDT I am looking to purchase Wifi+Cellular but cannot for the life of me find out what data contracts are available with the eSim. Would somebody be able to let me know how much it costs to purchase data from one of the major networks (Vodafone, EE etc)? I understand this can be done from within the iPad. Thanks! Cursor momentum when using trackpad on the iPad Posted: 30 Mar 2020 10:36 PM PDT Hey guys, so I've been testing my Magic Trackpad 2 on my iPad Pro, and I've noticed that the cursor picks up some momentum when I use it, i.e. it continues moving a bit even when I remove my finger from it. Anyone else noticing the same? I find that it makes the cursor slightly imprecise. Thanks! Edit: I'm answering my own question: there's a setting under Accessibility → Pointer → Trackpad inertia that was active. De-activated it and it works like a mouse :) [link] [comments]
Is there a way to set custom key assignments in iPadOS? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:54 AM PDT I recently got Logitech's K380 Keyboard. It's a fine device, but I noticed that some of the function keys (F5, F6) are not assigned at all. Is it possible to change that? I looked under the Accessibility section but couldn't find anything. Anyone recommand an app for landscaping designs ? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:31 AM PDT Looking for an app to make landscape designs so i can create my drawings on iPad Pro instead of paper and pencil. Much appreciated :) [link] [comments] |
