Activity app on iOS missing data Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:57 PM PST I just noticed the other day that ever since I switched to a new Apple Watch in October, all my Activities data isn't shown in the Activities app on iOS. I can see it under Activities in the Health App tho, and of course my phone is tracking it. Anyone else seen this happen? Or have a fix to get it working again. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2020 06:24 PM PST I just got my watch this weekend. Series 5. I rode my bike to work today, but there was no distance and no average speed because it didn't track gps. I've checked all the location settings, they seem right. Why no GPS??? [link] [comments]

Be honest! What’s your daily Move goal set to? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:09 PM PST I'm thinking of updating mine. I'm at 300. Currently at 363 calories. Just want to know what others have theirs set as Update: Y'all are kicking my butt. I work a desk job and thought I was doing good. You are my inspiration to be better every day. Adaptive brightness after latest update? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 07:28 PM PST Has anyone else noticed that after the latest update (v 6.1.3) Apple Watch has an adaptive brightness feel to the display? My Apple Watch 5 now is very dark in a dimly lit room but brightens up if outside or has light shined on it But there's no setting for adaptive brightness just brightness and always on. The brightness is cranked up all the way but still seems adaptive. [link] [comments]
Battery life on a store demo Watch Posted: 03 Mar 2020 11:03 PM PST Hi! So I got a decent deal on a store demo Watch, Series 3 38mm WiFi. The store manager claims it has been on display for about 4 months before being taken down and put in a box when the new watches arrived (S4 I presume). When I got home it was completely dead and I had to charge it for a while before it booted up. After that took a couple of hours to update (first it had to update to 5.3.5 continued by 6.1.3). Now I'm just curious (maybe worried) if the battery have been taking damage from being on display, either for longer than 4 months which the manager claims, or for laying dead in a box for a year. My current settings:
Right now it's been off the charger for 1 hour and 25 minutes, usage 25 minutes and I'm down to 94% battery. I've basically done nothing with the watch expect used 'Breathe' once and checked the time a couple of times. Does this sound like normal battery drain to you guys? TL;DR Bought a store demo watch, supposedly on display for 4 months and then taken down. Worried that battery life is not as good as it's supposed to be. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:59 PM PST Looking for something between the Slice Charge Pro and this. Basically I want a combo Apple Watch / Qi charger that is flat and highly portable but still allows Nightstand mode on the watch. USB C would be a nice bonus. The Slice Charge looks pretty sweet feature wise but is IMO way too expensive for a charger and I'm pretty sketched out by the super cheap ones like the one I linked. Anyone got something like this that they like? [link] [comments]
Help me decide if I need the S5! Posted: 03 Mar 2020 09:35 PM PST So in short, I currently own the original Apple Watch. I've been using it on and off for the last four or five years. I got it basically a month after release as a gift, but with each new OS, it began running slower and slower. At one point I stopped wearing it for like two years, but recently have been trying every few months to get back into it. I've started using it again recently but it always glitches or lags up upon use and overall just reacts very slowly. I've been thinking of upgrading to the series 5 because I've recently caught myself constantly being on my phone. Also, checking my phone after any notification that comes in (which is very annoying, because so many of them don't require action). I've also been very active lately and go to the gym about five or six days a week, so I would love to track workouts, walks, runs, etc. I realize that the series 5 has been out for about five months now and that the series 6 will come out, most likely, this September. Would anyone recommend waiting until the series 6, or should I just grab the 5 now? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2020 09:43 AM PST Hey all, not sure if there is a megathread for this, I looked but couldn't find one. I'm new to the Apple Watch craze and have been utilizing the competition feature with a friend at work to keep motivated. I'd really love to open up to more competitions with different people as my friend at work is the only person I know with an Apple Watch and she isn't as invested in it as I am. Anyone fancy a competition with me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:47 PM PST People who use apps that track your sleep, when do you charge your watch? I want to keep it on all day so can get my rings but want to try a few sleep apps as well. Also, any advice on saving battery life? [link] [comments]
Apple is screwing me on my battery swelling. Does this make sense? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:19 PM PST Woke up a week ago Sunday and went to grab my AW3 and the screen was cracked all the way around not too far in from the enclosure. First thing Monday morning before work I got online and chatted with someone through apple dot com that was extremely helpful, admitted that this shouldn't happen and then scheduled an appointment for me on Thursday. In the Apple retail store again everyone was great as usual. The guy that I met with examined my watch and said he wanted to have a tech look at it so he took it in the back for a good five minutes. When he came back out he said "Yup, swollen battery. We'll get you taken care of." I answer a few questions and he says I'll hear from Apple in the next 3-5 business days. Well today I hear back. I'm liable for whatever happened and it will be $159 to fix, I can have it shipped back or talk to someone. Long story longer, I talked to a tech today and they said the battery wasn't swollen and there is nothing they can do about it. They said my best course of action is to go back to the store and see if there is anything they can do. I'm at a loss for words. Is this just par for the course? Anyone else have this problem or something similar? Feeling left high and dry as a loyal customer of 13 years. Thanks everyone [link] [comments]
Gf got a facetime call from me while I was already on facetime with her? Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:12 PM PST Title. She hit decline, I wasn't even touching my phone. Her contact for me is just my phone number, not my apple ID. I immediately changed my apple ID password after I checked find my iphone, but no one was on my account. I also would've received an email if someone logged in. Was it just a glitch? Should I be worried? If someone hacked me I don't know why they would facetime her, so not too worried.
