    What do you think about my handmade iPad Pro stand? (Ebony)

    I wanted to see if I could catch my iPad on fire, so I ran Fortnite at 120 FPS and RuneScape at 60 while watching a YouTube video and switching apps and this thing didn’t even lag. Apple must’ve made a deal with the devil to create mobile processors like this that require zero cooling.

    Facebook Messenger text field is blocked by the shortcut bar on iPad with Smart Keyboard

    Just wondering if anyone has a solution to this.

    When I use Facebook Messenger, the text field always gets blocked by the bar at the bottom of the screen where the text replacement normally shows up. When I try to minimize it with the icon to the right of the bar, it goes away until I retype again.

    Any permanent solutions that still preserves the bar in place?

    $250 iPad 7th Gen (2019 model) worth it?

    So I have been seeing on Amazon that the iPad 7th gen (standard iPad, not the mini, air, or pro) has gone on sale for $250. Would it be worth the buy? I would mainly use it for web browsing, watching videos and shows, and social media management.

    Thinking of getting an iPad

    Just started my MacBook trade in for an iPad!

    So first things first. I'm a windows/Android guy. Always have been. I need windows because I'm a big PC gamer and adnroid because I'm DEEP into the Google ecosystem. (So much is saved in my Google drive).

    I refurbished a broken gaming laptop this summer that I got for free (because it was broken) and a buyer offered me a 2016 MacBook Pro 15inch and a few hundred for it so I took his offer.

    I enjoyed the MacBook. It's battery life was great. Display was sharp and the device was thin and light (compared to gaming laptops which literally need to be bulky to cool their high end parts)

    But since I'm either PC gaming or doing table top RPG's with friends (D&D) most of the time I didn't use it much. Then a friend started using his iPad pro 11 with a pencil at D&D nights. He kept all his stuff in it. It was the size of a regular piece of paper but had all the extra functionality of an iPad.

    I got to mess with iPadOS for a bit and realized it wasn't just a big silly iPhone anymore. Seeing how comfortably he could just take it places along with it's smaller size (15 inches is the smallest laptop I own) and easy of use etc gave me the bug.

    Apples trade in site gave me a quote for $830 trade in value for my MacBook. Only a hundred or so off from a 256gb iPad Pro 11.

    Hopefully the whole process will be done soon and I'll be in an iPad by end of February. I'm hoping I made the right call but considering I rarely used the MacBook as is I think it'll work out.

    And hey if I go back to school like I keep telling myself I will it'll be great for that. (mid 20's dropped out of college to work in the IT field. I make good money and live comfortably but I think I want to go to school part time again).

    Looking at an iPad Pro 10.5 refurbished

    I just wanted some opinions. So I'm looking to purchase a new tablet. I was looking at the 9.7 1st gen and 10.5 second gen both refurbished. I saw places offering refurbished iPads much cheaper than apple. However the apple ones come with a new battery but it is currently about $460 on apple for the 10.5 compared to $350 elsewhere. Is it worth the $110 extra to go through apple? Thought?

    Weird battery behavior

    I have an iPad Pro 9.7 inch. Lately my battery has been draining faster and faster. I used imazing to check my battery health and it went from 60% to 30% over the course of a week. I sat down to read my Bible two nights ago and in roughly 15 minutes I went from 92% charge to 15%. I had my screen brightness set to about 30% and no other apps were running. I made an appointment with my local Apple store for Friday. However, after making the appointment, these last 2 days the battery has been just fine. I used it all day yesterday and it only used about 25% charge and today I used it even more at work and it stayed around 90% all morning. This evening it used up more as I was streaming YouTube.

    Anyways, TLDR, battery was draining crazy fast now it's not. Any thoughts on why and what I should tell the Apple tech?

    Hello, I can not find any decent ftp or sftp client for my iPad. I use ftpmanager pro at the moment, but I need a sftp client with a "resume download" option. I often have to download large video files (1gb) from my own server when I am travelling. that mean often bad internet connexion. I often have timeout connexion, then I have to restart download from scratch. I heard about ftp sprite but it seems it s not available anymore. I am OK to pay of course. Any idea? Sorry for my English, I am French ;)

    Hi everyone, I'm technically new to the Apple universe, the only device I've been using for the last 7-8 years is the iPad 4. It was really time to upgrade it, and I ordered my iPad Pro 2018 11' 256 gigs (on sale) like 2 days ago, but yesterday I've found out that they're gonna announce the new iPad Pro around March. Now I'm almost starting to regret buying it. Do you guys think it will cost more than the current ones? I've never followed the market but I just know the old ones will cost a little less. I really don't need a better Camera or AR, but I'm just worried about my purchase... do you think it was worth nowadays?

    Should I go for the 6th or 7th generation?

    Apple pencil rapid depletion

    Ho guys so I got an apple pencil this morning and while charging via the wall plug everythings fine, but plugging it in for the first time it took about an hour and a half to get to 50% then rapidly depleted back to 5% in a matter of seconds while still plugged in. Iv charged it up to 100% via the wall again and plugged it in and watched it drop down again in front of my eyes to nothing....
