    Just saw this pop up on some sites I follow... Apple is giving $49 Apple Watches to seniors who qualify for a new heart study - Seniors who are selected to participate in a new health study will be able to buy an Apple Watch for $US49 at Best Buy.

    for anyone with smaller wrists, purchased this 3rd party watch strap off of amazon for £13 after disliking one i got for £40! It’s surprisingly great quality and is narrower so it fits my smaller wrists much better

    S5 battery life has dropped to 5-6/hrs per day.

    I have an Apple Watch S5; within the last week, my watch has given me a 10% battery life alert by 1PM daily. I generally put it on around 6:30AM to go work, and take it off by 10PM. Not once before last week did I ever see a low battery alert. Any ideas? My nearest apple store is over 2.5/hrs away.

    Does anyone know if stores in Sri Lanka sell Apple Watches that are imported?

    Hello,

    So I posted a question the other day regarding ECG on Apple Watches. Apparently, it is not possible to buy an apple watch in an unsupported ECG country and use it in a supported one.

    Here is the thing, I'm currently in Sri Lanka and I've found some places with Apple Watches here. However, Sri Lanka does not have their own country page on apple.com, nor is Sri Lanka listed in any of the Apple Watch features page on apple.com. It's not even listed as a country that supports Siri.

    This leads me to believe that Apple doesn't actually "export" products to Sri Lanka, and that Sri Lankan stores have to import phones, watches etc themselves from other countries. Most likely India, which is a very close neighbouring country. And since India has ECG, that would solve my problem.

    I know that this is a long shot but does anyone know if my theory is possible at all?

    Competition with my wife

    My wife and I have had our Apple watches since this fall. Since then, we have completed several competitions through the activity app. I have won all of them. We are both active and are active pretty much the same amount. I would assume that her height, 5'1", would be taken into account. I am 6 foot. She just ran the Disney half marathon this weekend at Walt Disney world. Ran the entire race. (Quite proud of her) and I still beat her in the competition we were in! I did no actual workouts, just walking around the parks, as she did as well with me.

    I guess I don't know how the metrics are calculated for this competition thing. We certainly like it, but it get lame and discouraging when I win all the time with no effort.

    Battery Indicator not accurate

    So recently my s5 has been having issues with its battery indicator. I have the battery complication on my watch face, and it is never accurate anymore. I charged it last night to full and have been wearing it for about 10 hours and it is still showing as 100%. Yesterday it died on me shortly after showing it was at 46%. Haven't been able to find anything online about it and was curious if anyone else is experiencing this or had found a fix.

    Series 6 / watchOS 7 Rumors?

    I'm debating on getting a refurbished Series 5 later this year but I'm highly curious what Apple can do with the next device.

    Does anyone have any ideas where to find rumor info on the watch? I've seen plenty of details on iPhone 12 but not the watch.

    My regular sites include 9to5Mac, AppleInsider, MacRumors, etc.

    AOD Scheduled Off Suggestion

    Hey,

    So I've been thinking apple should add a setting similar to "Do not disturb" for the AOD.

    For example if you're sleeping that's about 8 hours (average) of wasted battery life. I'm sure there are different situations where it will come in handy.

    Getting sounds on silent mode 6.1.3

    Has anyone else noticed random notification sounds while on watchOS 6.1.3 with the watch on silent? I always keep my watch and phone on silent. So far I've had 2 texts make the "ding" sound on my watch and got one ring while receiving a phone call before it went silent. I've hard reset my watch and phone and verified that both are still on silent. Never had this issue until I updated last week to 6.1.3.
