Sport Loop - Why did I wait so long to try you! Posted: 06 Jan 2020 07:54 AM PST I just felt the need to express my thoughts on the Sport Loop bands. I've had one of every Apple watches so far, I've always just used the standard Sports Band that came with the one's I've purchased. I never bothered trying a sport loop, I was worried about wearing one and sweating and them becoming dirty and funky. Anyway, I finally broke down and bought one to try after reading some comments from others about wearing their watches to sleep in and recommending the sports loop to keep things snug and at the perfect fit. WOW, this is so much more comfortable than the sport band. Especially for working and being at a computer all day. The feel just adapts to you and there is not temperature difference, you forget it's there. And when your wrists are touching desk it's barely noticeable. I'm definitely a convert now. Kicking myself for waiting so long to try these. Thought I would share just in case there is someone else out there like me who hasn't given them a try and notices some of the same things I'm speaking about with regards to the sports bands. It's really a nice difference in wearability. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jan 2020 08:07 PM PST I have been suffering from anxiety since my deployment to Afghanistan in 2003. I'm finally making an appointment with my primary care manager tomorrow but I was curious if anyone knew of apps (other than breathe) that can send me a message once my heart rate increases beyond a certain point to remind me to step back and relax. Any info would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2020 04:43 AM PST I am aware that a non cellular apple watch wont receive text messages etc when not connected to an iphone via bluetooth HOWEVER, my question is... If i buy a NON cellular apple watch will i be able to stream music on my watch directly from my phone when connected to bluetooth? For example if my phone was in my pocket and i wanted to stream a track from apple music can i do this on my watch face without getting my phone out of my pocket? Another example is Maps, if i wanted directions could i use maps on my watch whilst connected to my phones 4G connection? Or are all these useful things obselete without getting a cellular apple watch? Thanks. Currently on fitbit ionic. However i love my apple tv, macbook and iphone XR. Getting a little fed up of fitbits lag and the fact google will soon harvest all of my health data... [link] [comments]

AW s3 can’t swipe up and down! Posted: 06 Jan 2020 07:15 AM PST I'm recently having this issue with my AW s3. It requires restart to solve the problem. Just want to know if anyone have the problem and how to deal with it (permanently) Thank you. [link] [comments]
How to hard factory reset Apple Watch without having to touch the screen. Posted: 06 Jan 2020 06:19 AM PST Good morning all and Happy new year. I need your help today? I accidentally cracked my apple watch screen and it lost its touch recognition on half the screen making it unusable. So I am selling it on eBay for "parts". Yesterday I tried restoring to factory settings using the - Hold the crown button, then off button which all works fine until I get to the part where I have to confirm with the little green button on the bottom right. Just so happens that's the whole section that's affected by the damage. What other options do I have to restore to factory settings without having to go through the apple watch screen prompts before I ship the watch? If anyone is interested in the eBay ad, you can also find it here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174147003099 Thank you and best wishes, Valdesr11 [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2020 03:55 AM PST Hey there, can anyone show me what a 44mm band looks like on a 42mm watch? I know they're compatible just wondering what it looks like :) Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2020 09:07 AM PST Hi! I'm currently using a Garmin Fenix 5s. I went from a S4 to a Garmin due to a lot of running and frequent usage of manual lapping and Garmin's native setup for intervals and more specific running activities. With that being said, I miss my AW. My companion, my smart friend. Like, very much... :( So, I want to buy me one, to use outside of training, as a smart watch. My question for you is whether to buy a S5 now in Jan/Feb or wait for a possible launch of S6 in Sep? Pros/cons? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2020 09:00 AM PST I have no problem closing my calorie goal. I also stand all day at work and it doesn't add onto the goals on the watch and neither does the exercise ring. Is there a way to change these amounts so they'll close easier? [link] [comments]
Activity App Sharing not Syncing Posted: 06 Jan 2020 08:35 AM PST Is anyone else's activity app sharing not syncing with their watch? On my watch it's updating competition points and stats normally, but on my phone, it just looks like no one I'm sharing with has worked out all day. [link] [comments]
100% to dead in 9 hours!! Two days in a row. Posted: 06 Jan 2020 08:19 AM PST tl;dr - should I be worried. This is 2 days and no changes to the watch. S4 GPS Like my title says, my S4 GPS went from full charge to dead in 9 hours. I normally get 24+ hours on a full charge. I had fully charged it around 6pm Sunday and it was dead at 6am Monday when I woke up. AutoSleep shows it dying around 3 am. Saturday it went from fully charged to 6% in 12 hours. The watch is only 8 months. I haven't added any apps, In more than 2 months. watchOS is 6.1.1. It's in DND mode from 10pm to 7am. Should I be concerned? Thanks! Edit to add GPS only. Any construction workers here? Posted: 06 Jan 2020 04:10 AM PST I just got an Apple Watch as a gift and love it but I'm hesitant to wear it to work. I bought a catalyst protective case/band from Best Buy but I'm still worried about messing up the screen. I got some of the protective film covers but they don't seem that scratch resistant for my job as an electrician. Any tips on what you do to protect it and if you've worn it on the job how did it go? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 09:48 PM PST Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a reason they haven't added customizable/downloadable tones for the AW? I would very much like to be able to change the tones on my watch. [link] [comments]
[Support] Notification settings not mirroring Posted: 06 Jan 2020 03:19 AM PST Hi everyone, Having a bit of a strange issue. For all of the Watch apps I have installed I have the notifications set to 'Mirror my iPhone'. However for a handful of these apps, the light grey text underneath the choice to Mirror or use Custom states 'Don't show alerts', which is not the notification setting I have enabled in the phone's Settings.app. A case example would be Carrot Weather. I have my Watch set to Mirror, the iPhone set with all turned on, and the app configured to send alerts. However as you can see in the photos, the Watch settings still say 'Don't show alerts'. I've done a re-pair of the Watch and reset all settings on my phone, no help. Anyone had this issued and figured it out? watchOS: 6.1.1, SS Series 4 iOS: 13.3, iPhone 11 Pro Thanks! Exercise ring - closing very easily Posted: 06 Jan 2020 03:16 AM PST Hi all, just wondering if anyone else thought the exercise ring on S4 watches was closing quicker than normal following the most recent OS update? I mean, as a indicator of exercise it doesn't seem reliable any more. For example, I spent the whole day at home yesterday, didn't really do much at all but notched up 65 minutes of so-called exercise! I don't remember it previously being this easy to close the exercise ring. Just an observation and wondering what others thought. [link] [comments]
Buy 1st Gen Apple Watch to use as sleep tracker? Posted: 06 Jan 2020 03:15 AM PST Is it worth buying a first gen Apple Watch to use as a sleep tracker? It's still fully compatible with iPhone 8< ? [link] [comments]
Any Way To Keep Track of a Phone? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 10:30 PM PST So, my dad has a horrible habit of losing or misplaying his phone. On the table at a restaurant, in his car at work, dropping it while trying on a jacket and driving 4 hours without noticing it missing, forgetting it in the seat pocket on a plane so he went a 4 day work conference with no phone, etc. My question- are there any apps or features that will help remind him to keep track of his phone? I know Apple Watch has a ping button to make his phone make noise, but that's less of the problem. I have 2 likely apps in mind:
Is there anything like this? We already have tiles for his keys that could ping his phone too, but most of the time he's a few miles away before an employee or server finds his phone. He's normally last to know he doesn't have his phone. Are there any other things one can think of? Do phone belt clips help keep track any better? Sorry for wordiness, I think my mom is going to scalp him next time he does this. It happens about once a week lol [link] [comments]
Using 2 watches(S5(Daily Drive)-S1(Sleep Tracker)) Posted: 05 Jan 2020 09:42 PM PST When using both watches, JC does both activity data get added and synced together? I just noticed that I have 3 minutes exercise on the S5 and I'm at 0 on my S1 when I got into bed. If I get up in the middle of the night I want to see if my stand hours will be added together. TIA [link] [comments]
What is a feature that you would like to see added to AW? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 03:05 PM PST Just wondering if there was any features that are being requested. I know that i would appreciate an option to change the stand and exercise rings, what do you guys think? [link] [comments]
Cases/Screen protectors for AW? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:42 PM PST I love the look of my S5 as it is but I know I should probably put a screen protector and/or case on it. I heard a lot about Skinomi screen protectors so I purchased them. However I'm wary about the liquid adhesive on them damaging the oleophobic coating on the watch. Plus the screen protector doesn't feel as smooth as the glass. That led me to considering minimalist cases. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, I plan on using the AW when playing a sport (ultimate frisbee), so I think having an easily removable and more rugged case could be useful instead of a minimalist one worn all the time. I also have Apple care [link] [comments] |
