    SSD adapter

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:29 PM PST

I purchased a 1 tb SSD for my mid-2012 MBP and would like to know if I need an adapter or anything else to be able to replace the old drive. Purchased was a "laptop" SSD, is that the correct type? Thank you in advance.

Is it possible to use upgraded 2010 MacBook white unibody for animation?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 02:48 PM PST

Just wondering. I don't have a lot of money to buy a new laptop but I wondered if I upgraded my old MacBook for a few hundred $$ to 16gb Ram, 500gb ssd, with its 2.4 ghz cpu and Nvidia GeForce 320m. What do you guys think? Think I can use it for some animation when I want to be mobile?

Squeaking noise coming from right speaker

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 02:19 PM PST

Macbook Pro 15" 2017. High frequency noises now make a squeaking noise come from the right speaker. A week or so ago I went to play audio and both speakers had a really weird super loud screeching frequency noise playback bug after wakeup from sleep. Could that have damaged the speakers? Is this something that could be covered under apples' warranty? i thought there were some issues with the 16". I only ask because I don't have a service center nearby.

MacBook Pro 2019 (13" 1.4 GHz) battery life?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 05:24 PM PST

I checked various sites and I found different informations about the battery life (from 6 hours to 9/10 hours).

I know that it depends on the usage, so I'm curious about the basic tasks (mainly Word, Excel and browser with some opened tabs, on normal/low lights).

It would be great if MBP owners could write about their experiences. Thanks!

    MacBook Air for Music editing?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 12:21 PM PST

Would it be good for music editing. Producing Mixing And mastering your own songs? I can get a 2015-2016 MacBook Air cheaper than a MacBook Pro. I was just wondering would it be beneficial? I know the pro would be the way to go but I was just wondering if it wouldn't hurt to go the cheaper route thank you for your help btw :)

Advice for replacing a charger for an old 2008 Macbook Pro (MagSafe A1222)?

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:36 AM PST

My trusty 2008 Macbook Pro is still going. The charger, however, is not.

I know I need a MagSafe 85W charger. The model number is A1222. Apple has 85W chargers in their store (no model numbers given), however the one I have has a magnetic 'T' connector, instead of the vertical one shown on the store page.

Does anyone know if these two magnetic connectors are compatible with each other? The one on the store doesn't say MagSafe 2 (which I can't use), I can't find a model number, but seems to be the right wattage.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!
