There are about 5 emails from 2 different sources that when deleted, come back after a minute or so. The problem seems to be isolated to only 1 of my emails. And they only show up on my iPhone, none of my other devices. I have tried a few things with no luck:
The emails can only be found on my iPhone in the mail app. If I log into the email through their website the emails are deleted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

I only started experiencing this when I visited my parents house. This doesn't happen over LTE. All speed tests show fast speeds, but things just don't load for 10-20 seconds unless I pull up that menu. This affects both iPhones and iPads. I'm using an iPhone 8 running iOS 13.3. Any ideas? Edit: I just tested it, and things instantly load when I swipe up both control center and Notification Center Edit 2: This affects an iPhone 8, 8plus, 11 and an iPad Air 2. This didn't happen at my apartment, so I thought it must have something to do with the WiFi here (my parents house). However, I spoke with r/TechSupport live chat, they had me run a few tests, and they said the network seems fine and that it might be an Apple problem. [link] [comments]  |

Please help (iPhone 6s) Posted: 05 Jan 2020 09:29 PM PST I have no idea what to do, everything was working perfectly fine until just now after updating. Photos, Youtube, Safari, Notes, etc, I can't rotate the screen sideways for the landscape view. I made sure my phone is on standard, not zoom. Yes, portrait orientation IS unlocked. Shut down and booted up my phone many times now, as well as hard resets. Am I missing something? What do I do? | 2009 27" imac strange black screen issue Posted: 05 Jan 2020 08:09 PM PST I have an imac that has recently developed a black screen issue. The imac will boot to os fine but randomly usually 5 minutes in the screen will completely black out. There is no backlight and theres no display either. Sometimes i can get it to turn back on if I click random keys and move the mouse. It will turn back on for a couple of seconds once it turned on and of multiple times just by constantly moving the mouse. When blacks out it will continue to play sound and function. When it does this and I try to restart it it will always black screen or show screen for a couple of seconds before it goes black. I usually leave it off for a few hours and I'll get more screentime out of it. I've tried using an external display and the display blacks along with the imac, I got the external display to come back on but it just had green lines will include a picture. I'm not sure what's wrong with it and would appreciate any helpful advice. [link] [comments]  |

| Worth replacing macbook pro 2012 motherboard for $450 Canadian? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 10:35 AM PST Kids spilled milk over macbook pro. Repair center diagnosed that the motherboard is dead. Charger continually shows green light (no orange). Said replacement is an option. $300 for the motherboard plus $100 for labour (Canadian $). I love the laptop. Very reliable and has ports all the new Macbook lack. Is it worth it to replace the motherboard for a 6 year old laptop at this point? I don't fancy the newer Macbook Pro for lack of ports and for the inflated costs at about $1600. Not to mention some reliability issues folks have been saying about the newer models. I tried a 2017 Macbook Air ($950 taxes in) for a couple of weeks. I thought it was OK for a while, and then one day I was streaming to Chromecast and started to browsing some forums when the skipping and choppiness was kicking in on the Chromecast. Never had this issue with my existing Macbook. I was able to use Chromecast, youtube and play music with no decrease in performance. So I know an Air won't cut it for my needs. If my existing Macbook can indeed be repaired for $450, will it be worth the investment considering I get to keep a reliable machine, albeit 6 years old? | Touchbar not displaying audio correctly & keyboard/trackpad issues Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:09 PM PST Whenever I play audio in finder preview (through spacebar) the waveform does not show correctly. I'm using a 2019 16" MacBook Pro on 10.15.2. It's happened on previous Catalina versions too. I've already tried resetting the SMC and that didn't solve the issue. Another problem I've had is that after opening the lid from it being closed and the Mac being asleep, it won't detect my keyboard or trackpad. The touchID works fine and lets me log in, but I'm unable to do anything. After closing and reopening it a couple times, eventually the keyboard and trackpad start working. Any solutions? Thanks! At first, I thought I'd fix it and use it as a display with other iMac but the repair costs make that untenable. Looking at the prices on ebay, I could sell it for maybe 10 - 30 USD. I could break it into parts, but I'd have to wait longer to find a buyer. So what do you all do with your broken computers? I thought about just chucking it in the trash but it seems like a waste. I've already got the back off and the 3 screws out of the circuit board but I don't know how to do the rest. My kids spilled juice on it a while ago and I got it working again but now a bunch of the keys are sticky and I don't feel like taking them off one by one I'd rather just remove the frame. Posted: 05 Jan 2020 11:30 AM PST It's not a notifications problems, the problem is the messages being only sent by others to me and only received when I open the app. Things affected like Whatsapp and Snapchat but for example SMS are received normally so maybe it's an internet problem. | Posted: 05 Jan 2020 10:37 AM PST I am panicking everything I ever did is on that phone I filed a claim and currently waiting I have applecare+ theft and loss directly from apple and when filing claim it was through this apple site then they took me to assurant. i even added my police case number. please someone give me the ease of mind that this claim will process and approve I'm terrified it wont after reading through forums and experiences of others. some had good ones and some were bad. can I feel easy after filing this claim through apple care? I use this phone and I pay but the primary holder is my mother. I filed the claim with my name through my icloud, but then realized wait it needs her ID. So I ended up contacting them and they updated the ID with my mother's who is the account holder for this insurance. So they said I just need to wait 2-3 days now for it to approve because of this to make sure they have the right information to approve the claim. also find my iphone said it is ON when i checked my ipad settings for the iphone on icloud. Not only that my stolen phone even tho offline shows updated location of where it is from time to time even though it was made to be lost mode and offline. Does this mean he switched it on and then turns it off? or because I have the app in my ipad i can see the location update when the thief moves? im praying I can get the replacement its better than repurchasing the whole thing again especially since I barely paid off a year and a couple months of the phone. | Posted: 05 Jan 2020 02:03 PM PST I can't think of a better way to word this right now, but sometimes when I'm working in a program like Lightroom, I like to full screen the program. But say I want to look something up on the internet, I go to minimize the program or exit full screen and the bar at the top with those buttons (red escape, yellow minimize, green expand) won't show up. So I have to go to window and click exit full screen. A minor inconvenience, but definitely would help my sanity and workflow if anyone has any suggestions of how I can always have access to these three buttons in full screen mode on the programs I run. I don't use any DNS servers and the laptop has a static IP assigned by the network. Another interesting thing I found out: When I open Discord, the laptop gets immediately kicked from the network, and as long as I have Discord open, it gets kicked almost four times as frequently.
