    I'm wondering if this is a good idea. I find myself in a game or something and wanting to check the time. If the time was displayed in control center, you could just swipe down quickly to access it.

    Does anyone see a need for this too?

    Hey guys, when iOS 13 launched there was the option to replace the contact photo of a contact with the Memoji they created. I only got this to work 2-3 times and never again. How do I trigger this feature and can I update the contact photo when my contact changes his Memoji?

    Am I the only one having issues with Airdrop? That used to be one of my favorite features of iOS. Ever since iOS13 it's a mess. I open the share menu and it's there, but when I press it nothing happens. Sometimes I have to turn off the screen of the other phone and wake it up again for it to take effect. By then they receive like five requests. Sometimes is easier and less painful to send things via iMessage. Something in that feature they added to point and direct your airdrop must've messed up with the core features. Just not the same for me.

    iOS/iPad OS DFU Always Gets Stuck During Restore

    It's my understanding DFU (device firmware upgrade) is the best method of restoring device firmware, as opposed to resetting the iOS software. What's the reason for me consistently having issues with using DFU mode? On both my iPhone, and iPad, DFU is **notorious** for creating a semi-brick situation, where iTunes returns a "failed to restore" error, and the device gets stuck at an Apple logo, or a black screen. This happens virtually every time, and by chance (after about an hour of tinkering), the device finally restores. Is there a definitive way to avoid this, and get DFU mode working correctly every time? I can't be the only one who experiences this. Happens with my iPhone, and iPad.

    extreme data usage on all apps

    Hi all,

    My data usage (Iphone xs max), has been absurd. Reddit and other apps like chrome already use up so much of my data and i have no idea why.

    My previous phone (iphone 7) would not use as much data despite the same usage.

    I have turned wifi assist off and low data mode on.

    News-Widget suddenly disappeared

    We still don't have Apple's News App in Germany but we could always see the News Widget on the leftmost home screen / widget screen. It's been there for a few years now and it was there after I updated to iOS 13.3 when it came out.

    Suddenly earlier this week the widget was just gone. Of course I already restarted and synced my phone (but I didn't factory reset it).

    I'm on iPhone XS and a friend of mine who's also on the XS can't see it either but never used it anyway. My gf still has it on iPhone 6s with iOS 13.3, my mother also has it on iPhone 6 with the latest iOS 12. Region and Language Settings all set to German.

    Did anyone else experience this or knows how to get it back?

    Access to Settings from Control Center

    It's such a no-brainer - or seems to be - that you should be able to access the Settings app from Control Center. But I'm not finding much - yet - about this glaring omission.

    Why did Apple do this?

    TIL that even though 3D touch is removed from A13 devices, you can still do the 3D touch gesture to move your cursor around any text you’ve typed. You just have to force touch the space bar first.

    I'm normally an android user but my mom wanted help with her iPhone. Some of the android phones I've had were pre-loaded with a universal remote that worked automatically via infrared for pretty much any TV I came across. My mom broke the remote on her TV and I've been looking for something equivalent. But all of the free apps either have obtrusive ads, only work for smart TVs, or won't pair via infrared. Does anyone have any app suggestions that work well? This is for a regular Panasonic TV, not a smart one

    How long will apps be supported on iOS 12?

    My grandpa got a new iPad for Christmas and gave me his old one (1st gen iPad Air, released in 2013). With 16 gigs of memory, there's not a whole lot I can do with it- but it's perfect for schoolwork- beats using my laptop with windows 10. Because it's such an old model, it's stuck on 12.4.4. So, I'm just curious as to how long app updates will be supported on iOS 12- and when I'll have to upgrade to a newer iPad.

    Add password for Apple ID?

    After updating my iPhone XS Max to iOS 13.3 I got a weird notification. It happened about 2 hours after updating but first popped up on my Apple Watch. It said "enter password for Apple ID ****email" . Except the prompted email was my brothers email address that was his old Apple ID before he changed emails. Our accounts have never been linked in anyway. Shortly after I dismissed the watch notification, the same notification appeared on my phone. Thoughts?

    Latest Password Manager Thread

    I've been a LastPass user for a couple of years. Before that, I had 1Password but it was very clunky. Sounds like they've smoothed it out some. My main gripe is for CREATING a new password on a website on my iPhone, LastPass doesn't offer to generate and save the password (or if it generates, it won't auto fill it and copy is disabled) so I either have to create the website completely manually via the app or just use a text password I know and store that in manually.

    There are also websites that LastPass won't auto-fill, even in Chrome on a PC yet I can copy and paste it there from the vault. Just feel like lastPass is getting too bloated and inefficient.

    I use Windows and Chrome at work so wondering what the latest, greatest, best integrated manager is these days. I use iPhone, iPad, and windows PC with Chrome.

    [Help] how to find email used to create event

    My wife has an event created on her iPhone X (iOS 13.3) but cannot find the email used to create it, cannot find it via search. Is there a method of finding the 'source' email? Tried googling "source email for event" and it's just guides on how to create events in calendar.
