    Setting up brand new Child account on new iPad for 1st time, my personal photos keep appearing and I don’t know how to stop this

    Basically I've bought my kid an iPad, I've created a brand new Apple ID and have added to my family sharing (of which I was previously the only member). For some reason all of my own photos are appearing on the iPad and I don't want my child to see these. I've turned off iCloud Photos on my own device (iPhone XS) as well as My Photo Stream yet the photos haven't disappeared from the iPad. Am I doing something wrong? Or do photos have to be shared across all devices?

    Last Mac Update wiped all my application data

    I booted my mac this morning [15 inch, 2019], the trackpad would not work... I rebooted, and the computer went to the setup screen, went through it.... and my wallpapers, dock, and taskbar all reset, application data... also gone.

    I have my desktop, downloads, documents, etc, just no application data. After 15 minutes of the computer being booted, the mouse stops being able to click, I can move it, but not click anything.

    Edit: Apple support has no idea either, and I can't use my timemachine backup because again, all application data is gone, including stock apps...

    Edit 2: All app data is in the trash, "put back" is not an option.

    Edit 3: I have a software update for "iLife Support 9.0.4", clicking it throws an error, the update is corrupt. Even trying it from a different network & user, still doesn't work.

    Absolutely Impossible to Verify App Store Acvount

    I have spent the last couple of days trying to verify an app store account with no luck whatsoever. I am using an iPad mini and the page to verify my account doesn't load at all. It's a fresh device, the Internet works fine but there's no way to verify the app store account so that I can download more apps, the page simply doesn't load. I have tried different WiFi networks and it still doesn't work, I feel completely helpless.

    Airplay button not appearing on MacBook when trying to connect my iPad Pro as a second monitor using Apple sidecar

    So I have the MacBook and I am trying to use my iPad Pro as a second monitor using side car. I looked up how to set this up and it says to just click the airplay button on the MacBook and select the iPad and it should be done... but there is no AirPlay button coming up even though I have "show mirroring options in the menu bar when available" turned on. Anyone have any ideas of how I can solve this issue?

    Calling People in Cold Climates! How Do You Keep Your iPhone Warm?

    The battery in my iPhone 8 seems very susceptible to cold. My old 5s wasn't but it did always run hot.

    I like to use it for navigating in the hills (Using Cartograph 2 app)

    How to disable the macOS screenshot sound effect but NOT other interface SFX?

    I want to disable the noise played when screenshotting something (Cmd+Shift+3/4), but not other sounds such as emptying the Trash or moving a file. I can turn all of these on or off via the "Play user interface sound effects" checkbox in System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects, but that's not what I want here. Can I rename/remove the system file (where?) that plays when this action is taken so the OS can't find it, or something?

    How to transfer photos from iPhone to Mac?

    So this might be a simple/stupid question, apologies for the inconvenience but I do need some help.

    I currently have about 10k photos accumulated over the course of years. I have a 256GB iPhone 11 Pro Max and the photos eat up roughly about 60GBs.

    Is there a way to transfer or sync all these photos from my iPhone into my 2013 iMac? It has 1TB if storage and both (iPhone and iMac) are running the latest os versions.

    I do recall a method using either some app (think it was photos?) where you could sync your photos into the iMac but didn't that app get replaced with something?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really trying to clean up my iPhone and either save/delete some photos via iMac.

    Bluetooth not working with iPhone 11

    I've tried everything to my knowledge and nothing works from google or YouTube. Any other ideas or fixes or do I have to go to Apple? Just want it to connect to my jbl speaker! :(

    Error while installing iOS 13.3 on iPhone 7+. Can anyone help?

    I keep getting an error message while trying to install iOS 13.3 on my 7+. It downloaded fine. My bf was getting the same error message on his newer iPad (unsure of generation but he got it last year). Anyone else experiencing issues? How do I work it out?

    I bought an album and after the download, I saw that it was split in two. Seemingly randomly separated, they even appear in disorder in each. Tried deleting it and redownloading it but it didn’t change anything. What can I do? It’s an Iphone SE running ios 13.1.3

    Does anyone have a trick for this? I'm trying to transfers 465 files (images and videos) from a iPhone. Airdrop to my Mac doesn't work, I've saved the files in the files app. When I attach my iPhone to my Mac via USB, I can see the files, and copy single files to my Mac. I'd like to copy all the files at once, select all is not an option and holding shift doesn't work.

    Problem whit empty folder on mail

    I configured mail on my mac with gmail, icloud mail and a pec mail(certificated mail). Gmail and icloud create 2 empty folder on the archive(like in the image). Why?

    Which is the difference between the delete key and the cmd+delete?

    Bought an iPhone 11 in November, dropped it today accidentally, glass on the back cracked a little and i'm afraid if it gets dropped a couple times the whole back is going to crack. I only have the standard 1 year warranty that comes with every new iphone. Does it cover cracks? If so do i need to pay for the repair? And do i just bring it into an Apple store or to the company that i bought it from? I live in switzerland if it matters.

    Macbook Pro Mid 2012 - Not Charging - Charging light is Green

    Hi everyone,

    My Macbook Pro Mid 2012 isn't charging despite the charging being plugged in (the charger is green). What I've tried:

    1. Power on and Off
    2. Power Off + Hold Power for 10 seconds
    3. Plugging it into different outlets in the walls.
    4. SMC Reset
    5. NVRAM Reset
    6. Looked and cleaned out anything that may be blocking the charging port and the on the charger with a toothpick
    7. Unplugging Battery and trying the above things and variations of having charger unplugged and not unplugged.
    8. Buying a new charger
    9. Buying a new battery. The new battery is in and has 58% left of its charge. Hoping someone may have some insight before it dies.
    10. Ran CleanMyMac X and looked for malware (none found)

    Got a free 2012 Retina 2.6ghz, now having issues booting. Please help.

    This is my first Macintosh I've ever owned. It's in perfect shape cosmetically. The original owner said it may need a new HDD/SSD. But he's not too sure. I can't get the computer to boot up now. Here's what I did so far.

    -booted into El Capitan perfectly

    -restarted into recovery

    -erased Macintosh HD

    -attempted a clean macos install

    -"an error occurred while preparing the installation sierra. Try running this application again"

    -tried again, same issue

    -force restarted

    -booted into flashing question mark folder

    -would not respond to power button or command keys to shutdown

    -unplugged until battery died

    -won't boot/black screen

    I don't want to waste money on a new SSD if this is an easy fix. I've tried a few YouTube videos. I just can't get the thing to turn on at all.

    iPhone 6 reset at apple store- can I recover photos and contacts?

    Recently I tried updating the IOS on my iphone 6. But, after the update, my phone was stuck on the "white screen" with the apple logo showing. I tried restarting the phone (holding the power, home, volume button) and ended up with the same white screen each time.

    I gave it earlier today to the apple store, and they said they could fix it in about 30 minutes. When I went back to get my phone, I saw that they reset the device, and now all my apps/photos/contacts are gone.

    I had icloud on, but did not save any of my photos to it.

    At this point, is there anything I can do to recover what was on the phone previously?

    What should I do with my base model MacBook Pro 13" 2017 with a broken keyboard?

    I got my base model MBP 13" in 2017. Since 2018, I've started experiencing issues with the butterfly keyboard. I was also not eligible for Apple's free repair because someone spilled their drink on my volume keys so I can't take advantage of my warranty. Now I am experiencing issues with other keys that aren't affected and related to the spill.

    I would like to know if it would be a good option to either repair my keyboard, or trade in this current MacBook for a new one. When I went to the Genius Bar, they said replacing the keyboard would cost $500 CAD. Also the estimate trade in value at Apple is $240 CAD. If I buy a new MacBook Pro, I would wait for a 13" with the scissor keyboard (hopefully next year) and I will be able to purchase it with my student discount. I also don't consider going to third party repair shops because I've had bad experiences with them in the past.

    Another thing I'm thinking of is just using a bluetooth keyboard until this Mac starts showing its age or need to upgrade to a much powerful machine.

    Hey there, I'm really irritated that I can't listen to music without this giant Belkin dongle I got sticking out of my pocket. I just wish it was the block with the charge and headphone jack connected to the phone without the cord. I've seen similar images like THIS but then I realize that my headphones' cord will stick out horizontally. I just wish there was something like THAT but short and pointing vertically.

    iPhone X + iPhone 6s shows charging but not

    This has happened twice, my iPhone was plugged in but never gained batter percentage and is basically locked on the battery charging screen. Same thing is happening with my 6s.

    I was given 2x 4gb ram cards from a imac user who recently upgraded to 16 gb. I put them in and i got the 3 beeps. Are they not compatible or just corrupt?
