    We have an Apple TV 4K, Sky Q, Shield TV all connected to a 4K TV via Denon 2300 receiver.

    This receiver can't overly its OSD on 4K content, but have noticed when playing so called UHD 4K content on the Apple TV I can get the OSD from Denon which suggests that the Apple TV is not outputting content in 4K.

    If I'm in the menus of the Apple TV, I don't get any OSD from the Denon so we know it can output 4K but why won't it for stuff in 4K.

    This has been proved when trying a film or series episode that is in UHD using Prime Video, Netflix and playing this on the Apple TV and then playing the same content on the Shield TV.

    When on the Shield, I don't get any OSD from the Denon and titles show when paused they are in UHD.

    This is not the case for Apple TV, you can't see format of video playing when pausing, so why is Apple TV outputting incorrect signal?

    Anyone else noticed this?

    It will randomly go black while streaming, so I have to refresh and it will have forgotten which minute I was watching and which subtitles I was using. You can't click anywhere in the movie to pause, you have to look for the button down on the left and click it. You can't skip the intro, you have to do it manually. You can't skip to the next episode once you enter the final credits.

    Do they even test these things?

    Is it just my experience? There's no way I'm paying for this service after my trial expires.

    Is anyone else having problems with Apple TV+ on Apple TV? I'm trying to watch the morning show and it freezes, goes black completely or will sometimes go back to the home screen. It's sad that Netflix works better than Apple TV+!

    The New Undersea Aerial Screensavers

    I got an AppleTV 4k to go with my beautiful 4K HDR OLED smart TV specifically so that I could watch Apple's Aerial screensavers in glorious 4k HDR. They are captivating and enthralling, even the ones in HD SDR.

    Then came the new TvOS and instead of the sweeping beauty of soaring over incredible landscapes someone thought it would be good to give us the experience of being drowned and the new scenes come from under the sea. I'm not happy and want someone at Apple to give me the opportunity to turn off these experiments in thalassophobia exposure. Every time the jelly fish come on screen I am diving for the remote to swipe them away (and there's two scenes of creepy, disgusting, squishy jellyfish!).

    I know I can download all the videos, stick them in iCloud and play them back that way... I just hate having to go through the workaround. How hard can it be to give us the option to select which scenes they want?

    Here endeth the rant.... Can we start a petition?

    I am making a list with all Apple Channels all around the world. There doesn't seem to be one from Apple so I think it would be a handy thing to make.

    Apple TV won’t play surround speakers. Going through a Denon. Surrounds work on 5 channel music. But not on Amazon or Netflix. I’ve tried the different audio settings.

    Can't even watch an episode without the screen just going black, or quality being forced into 240p. Gig internet, never had an issue streaming anything in the highest quality with no stuttering or buffering (HBO GO, XFINITY, Netflix, Stars Plus, Showtime Anytime, etc.)

    Anyone else having this issue on PC - Chrome? It's literally unusable.

    I just bought a new Samsung TV which supports the new Apple TV app.

    I'm having some issues viewing 4K content from my library. On my iPhone in the TV app, some movies have the 4K badge on it. If I go on my Samsung Apple TV app, the exact same movie does not have the 4K badge on it, and it definitely does not stream in 4K.

    I have no issues viewing the new Apple TV+ shows in 4K in the same app. Anyone have a similar experience or any ideas what could be happening before I contact Apple?

    The Morning Show is amazing but the Apple TV platform is currently trash.

    So I have been playing on my phone, iPad and the web player and having consistent issues on each platform.

    Firstly how could they launch and not pickup an episode from the point you stopped watching. I did see a "resume episode" button one time but haven't seen it since.

    On the web player it consistently just crashes the episode every 10 minutes.

    Also I'm in Australia and not a fan of all the movies and shows being listed amongst the Apple content regardless of if you need a paid subscription to access them or not.

    Apple usually launches such well made products, this is an odd miss.

    3rd gen and Apple TV+

    I subbed to the new Apple TV streaming service, but since it's been out the TV app on Apple TV doesn't load (continually accessing) and I can't airplay the content either. All other apps, YouTube, amazon, Netflix load and work and can airplay other content fine. Has any one had this problem/ know a fix? Tried the usual reset restarts

    P.s the network is 200mb+ and everything else loads as mentioned above

    Can not properly setup XBONE controller with Steam Link App

    I found a "workaround" for a problem I've never had and can not find anything regarding my issue, so here it is:

    I can connect my XBONE controller just fine. However, when I choose "Setup Controller" in the Steam Link App, some buttons don't respond when I try to assign them. These buttons are: Menu, Back, Left Thumbstick Click and Right Thumbstick Click. They have worked in the past when I tried setting up Steak Link, but now they don't, even in the past few days. I am also sure the controller is in good working order as it works on my PC just fine.

    I also cannot use both the Apple TV remote or the XBONE controller simultaneously while setting up the controller, so I cannot "Skip" the XBOX button that is by default set to "Display" or "Sleep" on the Apple TV Remote.

    Is there a way to disable controlling the Apple TV via the XBONE controller? Is there a way to make both work so I can properly set it up?

    I've already tried setting it up inside Big Screen and I can't assign any buttons in the Controller Setup option at all.

    This is especially frustrating because it seems like my router can absolutely handle the game streaming.

    Apple TV unresponsive when ‘sleep never’ option is selected

    Has anyone had an issue when Apple TV becomes unresponsive after 'sleep never' option is chosen? This happens to me daily, on two different Apple TV's. I don't know if it's an overheating issue. I eventually have to unplug the Apple TV and plug it back in order to wake it.
