    Lost airpods pro at a bar last night, need help!

    I lost my airpods pro (I'm pretty sure) at a bar last night. I know this Becuase Find My says they were at the bar at 10:38pm (shortly after I arrived at the bar). They were most likely in my coat pocket, and I'm thinking they fell out when I took them off.

    That's the last update I have on them.

    Does anyone know how for find my app works? Does it continue to update as long as they are close to you? Or when you use them in your ear? Or as long as they have battery?

    when I got to the venue tho, they completely disappeared from the app, what does this mean? Did someone pair them to their own phone?

    The bar sys nothing was turned in, but the management there is incredibly shit, my gut says one of their staff just pocketed if (we had rented out the basement for a birthday party event, so only our friends were there, and the bar staff cleaned up after we left)

    Any advice on what I can do next?

    $1bn question: Spotify or Apple Music?

    Premise: I am currently on Spotify

    I am in a Apple dominated environment (Mac,iPad,iPhone), and surely Apple music works better with these three devices (which also is the main reason why I am considering switching from Spotify to Apple Music)

    Though, I have been reading conflicting opinions, some says that Spotify uses less battery whilst some others say that Apple Music is optimised for iPhones and therefore has less battery drain. What's your experience? Also, in case I choose to switch, will I be able to transfer my Spotify playlists onto Apple Music?

    I am really torn on which one to choose

    iPhone 8 plus. Stops charging at a certain percentage overnight. Yesterday it was 69%, today was 64%. Battery health is at 90%.

    App Store not working on 4G

    Hi! I have an iPhone XR, it has the latest update, but this problem is there for a while. The app store doesn't load at all when I'm on 4G.

    When I use Wifi it works, when I switch to 3G it works, but never on 4G, even though 4G is working fine on all the other apps.

    I found some people at apple online support with the same issue, but no one seemed to get a solution there...

    Any ideas?

    My iMac is on the fritz

    I'm in need of some guidance. I recently moved and have just gotten around to setting up my iMac. However when I connected the power source and turned it on, it has been stuck on the power up page. The bar appears to be fully loaded but nothing else has happened. I've turned it on and off and unplugged the power source but same outcome. Any suggestions on what I can do?

    MBP keyboard and trackpad freeze when opening lid

    So as per post title, sometimes when I open the lid of my Early 2015 MBP Retina my keyboard and trackpad will be frozen and I won't be able to do anything at all, no typing no clicking no movement.

    It's only started happening within the last week or so, not at all in the other whole 4 years I've owned the device. I'm really not sure how I fix it half the time, the first time I fixed it I was a little annoyed and I slammed my hands on the keyboard and it's like it "dislodged" the keyboard and trackpad and it all started working fine again, but then sometimes the freeze just comes back. Even powering off and on doesn't fix anything.

    Any ideas on what this could be caused by? Could it just be a loose connector in the body that I could feasibly fix myself just by taking the back off and having a look? Just sucks cause I can't afford a replacement at the moment (Apple or other brand) and I love my '15 MBP so would like for it to be holding on for a few more years at least! haha

    Completely unable to transfer .png image from Mac to iPhone

    I have an 8KB .png image I want to move from my MacBook Pro to iPhone Xs, both on the latest updates. You'd think this would be simple but nothing is working. I had it stored in iCloud but when opening it through the files app it just says the file name without showing the image. Transferring via AirDrop is blowing up the image massively and ruining the quality. I even tried just emailing it but it's only coming up with an empty file that just says the name again. I just don't understand how it can be so hard to transfer one image...

    Svg file apple watch face?

    I was wondering if it is possible to make an apple watch face from an svg file because I want to make my watch face into this( mumbo clock at the bottom of the q and a bit on the website I linked) Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Specs( the sidebar said to include cause it may help)

    Problems with video playback since Catalina update.

    Video playback is consistently pausing for 10-15 seconds and then resuming at random with audio out of sync. The audio icon on the toolbar also 'flickers' for lack of better word from muted to unmuted, almost as if it has disconnected from the internal speakers and there is no audio source.

    I don't believe this is a browser-specific issue (I use safari) as it happens as well with Quicktime. I've never had this issue until a few days ago when I updated.

    Despite this, I think its an issue beyond just Catalina as I've seen on various Apple Community forums the same issue with no fix.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Any thought on upgrading to a Max size iPhone from a regular one? Planning on getting the 11 Pro Max

    Hi! I'm planning to upgrade to a 11 Pro Max. Ever since the start, I've been on small iPhones and when I was given the choice, I always went for the small iPhones ie. I was on the 6, 6S, 7, X and XS. Now I have relatively small hands (average Asian male) but I mostly use my phone for gaming (Vainglory, Apple Arcade, Dead Cells, etc), watching YouTube, movies and Anime series, and reading comics and books. Would the bigger size screen be really that good? Anyone who went from a regular size to a Plus/Pro sized iphone

    Hey,

    So recently a friend of mine who works at the Apple store sold me some AirPod pros for dirt cheap, $160 CAD (retail for 330CAD). However, he said these are demo units that they use and may have had an issue with them so they give them away sometimes. Now this guy isn't what I'd consider my best friend but more of a guy we talk every once in a while, I hook him up with my store discount, and he does the same.

    Now, I kinda figured out by now that these aren't given away for free. After looking around on the web Apple isn't known to do this. So I'm assuming he stole them since they came with a non matching serialized box. Upon typing in the serial on the case it says it doesn't have warranty. I do know that Apple allows 60 days for AppleCare +, however these do not have it. And it's been less than 60 since they came out.

    I'm kinda concerned right now. Can Apple track these? I paired them to my phone. I know most of you will say return them etc. but for one this guy lives fairly far from me. Second, who wouldn't want a pair of these for $160?! They sound amazing. I'm not hiding behind a throwaway, in just being honest about this. So please. Thanks in advance

    Trying to figure out which 2019 MacBook to purchase

    Good evening r/AppleHelp,

    I'm in the market to buy one of the base line MacBook models (13" air or 13" pro). I'm a student enrolled in a commercial pilot program.

    I do want enough horsepower to keep me up to speed for years to come, though I do also want something with a good battery life as I'll be travelling a lot.

    Initially, I was heavily leaning towards the air because of its supposedly superior battery versus the pro. However I found numerous YouTube videos and internet articles showing that the Pro has better battery life, beating the air by hours in some cases.

    If this is indeed true, then the Pro is a no brainer. It also has better specs which should keep me up and running for years onwards.

    Which one would you guys recommend? If you have the 13" pro, how's your battery holding up?

    Lastly, I understand there may be a new 13" iteration with the scissor switches coming out next year, though I'm unfortunately not in a position to wait.

    Is the price difference between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone XR worth it?

    The iPhone XR is $799 CAD and the iPhone 11 is $979 CAD, I can afford the 11 but I want to know what extra value am I getting for the $180 difference?

    iPhone 11 silicone case

    Hey guys,

    I apologize if this has been asked before, but I have a question about the silicone case I just bought for my phone 3 days ago..

    When I use the case on my phone it has a slippery feel. I'll hold it in my hand and it slowly slides down my hand and it's very uncomfortable to use.

    Has anyone experienced this? Does the case get grippier over time? Does the leather case have this issue?

    Why do iPhone photos not fill the entire screen?

    Every phone I've had will take photos that fill the whole screen if the phone was in landscape when the photo was taken except my iPhone. It will leave black bars either side. My iPad Pro doesn't do this and neither does my iPod touch. So why does this happen on the iPhone? I know someone who also has an iPhone and when they send photos over WhatsApp they fill my iPhone's screen, but ones taken by my iPhone don't.

    How do I get them to fill the screen?

    And why does the same photo taken on my iPhone look better on my iPad and MacBook than on the phone that took it?

    I've been eyeing the Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Puck in the Apple store and am wondering if it's worth the investment. I have a 2018 13" MacBook that I primarily use for school and writing, but I also use for gaming a couple times a week.

    Does anyone here have experience using these or other eGPUs? Was it worthwhile?

    Kernel Panics and multiple causes

    Hello! I have a Macbook Pro 15 inch 2017 that has had somewhat frequent kernel panics since I got it during Summer 2018. I was finally able to solve the problem this August 2019. It was determined that the thermal paste had worn down completely. When I had the thermal paste replaced, I had very little-to-none kernel panics. However, about three weeks ago, I tried to use a regular plug-and-play keyboard (not Apple brand) with my MacBook. I had used this keyboard with my MacBook before, but this time, it caused my MacBook to have frequent kernel panics again! A couple days ago, I updated my OS and the kernel panics have seemed to stop. So, my question is, what is the cause of my kernel panics? Is it software, hardware, or something external? Or can it be all three? Is it time to just replace my Macbook and start fresh?

    Is new RAM to old iMac worth it?
