getting my iphone 7 repaired tomorrow, what are the chances they will give me an iphone 8? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:57 PM PST I am getting my iphone 7 repaired tomorrow, the headphone jack is not working. I noticed that they dont sell iphone 7's anymore in store where I live so I was wondering if they would be giving me an 8 instead. [link] [comments] |
Airpods Pro audio crackling/breaking up Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:06 PM PST So I bought the new Airpods day one, and Ive recently been having issues with music randomly crackling/breaking up multiple times while listening. I've restarted my phone, reset the Bluetooth, forgotten and repaired the Airpods to my device and the issue still doesn't go away. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? [link] [comments] |
airpod pro - good for working out? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:48 PM PST I'm debating between the pro or beats pro. I know the beats pro are ideal for workouts, but if I can have pods for everyday use, like walking, on the bus, working out, instead for just one ideal thing, that is what I'm looking for. How is the sound in airpod pro? [link] [comments] |

Problem with my 2018 MacBook Pro since installing Catalina Posted: 03 Nov 2019 08:27 PM PST Hi all. I have had an issue with my 2018 MacBook Pro Touch Bar since installing Catalina. MacBook Air Dialogue in Chinese, Language is Set to English Posted: 03 Nov 2019 08:14 PM PST So about a month, maybe two months ago, I take my old piece of junk MacBook Air, which had a broken Flash Storage, and popped in a new SSD. I booted it up, and it worked like new. It still is working like new, I'm writing this on it. However, for some reason, the dialogue when I hold down my power key and log in is in Chinese. But here's the weird part: it just started today. Before today, I can't remember it ever not being in English. I mention the SSD because I believe it was manufactured in China, as the name of it in About This Mac is in Chinese. The links above are images of my System Preferences, which are in English, and my logout dialogue, which is in Chinese. Things I've tried to fix this issue: - Restarting my Mac - Changing the language to another language, restarting, changing language back - I saw something online about enabling Show Input Menu in Login. I tried this, but it didn't work If you have any solutions, please let me know. I just ask you read what I've tried, I don't have time for some idiot telling me to restart my computer. Thanks [link] [comments] |
I have an iPhone 6S running iOS 10.3.2. If I update will I brick this thing? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 08:11 PM PST I'm stuck. Frankly, anecdotal Quora replies aren't selling me on the latest/greatest iOS and I'm not savvy enough to read the proper reviews. I don't even know which iOS is the newest. My iPad is running iOS 6.something, and before anyone shits and yells at me I a) like it just fine, b) can't update it past iOS 9, so .. why bother now? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Nov 2019 07:34 PM PST Recently i've been having an issue with my imessage. I was playing with the date and not long after that it was saying my imessage wasn't activated anymore. I tried to connect it again but it said it couldn't connect to the server. I updated my phone and it fixed the issue temporarily, but now it did it again. I fix it by signing out of icloud, restarting my phone, then signing back in but after a while it stops working and i have to repeat the process. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Replacement Battery Degradation Posted: 03 Nov 2019 07:27 PM PST I got my iPhone X battery replaced earlier this year and the battery app showed 100% capacity, but now it has been less than a year and my battery has already degraded down to 88%. I don't think this is normal considering I only use the official Apple lightning cable and have never had my battery degrade this much before. Is it possible I just got a bad battery? Would I be able to get a free replacement? [link] [comments] |

App Store won’t let me download any apps anymore Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:38 PM PST I had a debit card linked to my Apple ID but removed it because I had to close the bank account, and I somehow had an unwanted subscription to an app on my phone, so I also got rid of the subscription just to make sure, but somehow every single time I go into the App Store and try to download an app it asks me to sign in with my Apple ID and directs me to the payment option tab in settings, but once I clear everything up it still won't let me do anything on the App Store. Does anyone know any solutions to this? Thank you! [link] [comments] |

Recovering Photos from iTunes Backup Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:28 PM PST Hi everyone, I had an iPhone 7 128gb and did a backup to iTunes on my 2013 MacBook Air(OS Mojave). I upgraded the phone at my carrier's store to an iPhone 11 64gb. The customer service rep tried to do a quick start transfer but, obviously because of the capacity difference, it did not work. However, he assured me I'd be able to get the photos from my iTunes backup. I no longer have the iPhone 7 in my possession and don't have any other device with large enough storage capacity to restore the backup with. I have an older iPad but, it's only a 32gb. The photos were not backed up to my iCloud--my mistake. Today I have done the following:
I'm not worried about the photos being on my new iPhone---I just want to extract the photos from the iTunes backup and have them on my computer. I'm seeing various software with mixed reviews (dr.fone, imyfone) and I'm not against paying some money to get a software, I just don't want to download a virus or something. Also, I'd like some reasonable odds that the software will actually do what I'm trying to accomplish. Any advice? [link] [comments] |
Memory Pressure often yellow. Please advise. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 02:19 PM PST Hey guys, I recently deleted a bunch of unused files and apps off my macbookpro9,2 but still have some problems. Currently, 4GB is installed using 2 2GB slots (Your Mac contains 2 memory slots, each of which accepts a 1600 MHz DDR3 memory module.) I notice on my Activity Monitor that my Memory Pressure goes yellow often and my laptop slows down. I read in some forums that I cannot increase the RAM. Would you advise installing an SSD? Please let me know what options I have as essay writing and school research has been a pain recently. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:04 PM PST Hey so this is more of an advice, and tips type of post. I am about to get an iPhone for my future step-son and plan on putting him on my family plan for apple services. Any tips on how to make sure the usage is monitored and kid-friendly? [link] [comments] |
Looks like my iPhone 7 just gave up Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:55 PM PST 10/10 cosmetic condition. Doesn't charge anymore. I've tried everything and it's just unresponsive to power and iTunes and itself. No water damage. I don't have a warranty on it anymore. What are my replacement options? Will Apple replace it? If so how much is that. [link] [comments] |

How do I see shows/movies I have purchased but haven't downloaded in the Mac OS TV app? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 04:54 PM PST Previously in iTunes on Sierra the TV and Movies sections showed my entire library whether I had downloaded the items to my computer or not. I just upgraded to Catalina, and the shows and movies I've purchased aren't showing up on the Library tab. I know I can see these items and download them by going to Account->Purchased, or I could stream them by searching by name, but is there any way to see undownloaded items in my Library like I could in iTunes? I don't want to download everything just to be able to see my library, I've bought way too many movies and TV shows for that. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 Pro Max camera crashes in Night Mode Posted: 03 Nov 2019 04:52 PM PST So I'm having an issue with my iPhone 11 Pro camera. When attempting to take a photo with Night Mode, the camera app crashes every time. No other mode on the camera has any problems; wide, telephoto, ultrawide, portrait mode, videos, everything else works great. It's ONLY night mode photos. I have scoured the internet and can't see to find anyone else experiencing the issue. Apple swapped my phone out and the issue persists which suggests it's something software related but I'm not really keen on setting my phone up as new just to correct this bug. iOS 13.2 last week did not resolve. Anyone have any advice? https://www.dropbox.com/s/4fconxjl2jjqdbq/RPReplay_Final1572476073.mp4?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nu0sket4tpfppm9/RPReplay_Final1572476107.mp4?dl=0 [link] [comments] |
EXIF location data on iMessage Posted: 03 Nov 2019 08:00 AM PST I noticed that some of the pictures I received through iMessage have EXIF location data and some don't. Same contact. When is the location removed and when not? Does it matter if the the other person is connected to Wi-Fi when sending? [link] [comments] |
