Say I copy text, then select other text to replace it, when I paste it just pastes the old text that I currently have selected. That, or it will paste nothing. Or if I copy an image and view my clipboard from edit > view clipboard, it will be there until I select and move another image. Then it disappears. If I user terminal to killall pboard it doesn't do anything. Please guys, I'm going insane. I literally copy and paste all day every day! [link] [comments]  |

Issue: So as you can tell by the photo, the single flash drive is appearing as 2 separate drives (not partitions, drives). I don't know what caused this, but i need to fix it. It will not boot at all, and gives me the Folder with ? icon. I can only go into recovery mode as whatever caused this split, has really messed up the drives. Showing the top drive as being completely empty, and the bottom one as completely full. Has anyone seen this before or know how to fix it? The only solutions i've found online with an issue close to this have to do with a Fusion drive, which according to the order form, (from above) it doesn't have. Any help would be welcome. Cheese gift card each with different names associated. I removed my credit card and deactivated Apple Pay for the time being, but I'm hoping my card isn't somehow linked to someone else's account. | I shouldn’t have to update to use my phone as a phone Posted: 01 Nov 2019 11:26 AM PDT I'm having a huge issue right now... every morning when I wake (since coming home after a long trip without using cellular data), my iPhone 7 tells me I can't use data until I update. After some painstaking processes of resetting network settings, trying to download and hard resetting multiple times, I finally managed to get to iOS 13.2. This all is a problem in itself, but the bigger issue is that it's still doing it NOW even though I'm updated. Hard resetting doesn't restore my cellular and I see no options for a new iOS update in settings. So I'm stuck here with a phone I can't use as a phone. Is there a quick, permanent solution for this available or coming soon? Sorry if this isn't the right place, I'm at the end of my rope here [link] [comments]  |

They emailed me saying they would arrive anywhere between November 1st and 5th. This morning I woke up to an email saying my delivery time changed and it would be anywhere from December 6th through the 13th, an entire month extension! Is this happening to anyone else? | Touchbar Mac bottom case scraping on table Posted: 01 Nov 2019 08:50 PM PDT I have a 2016 15" Touchbar MBP that I got in April 2017. When ever I move the computer I tend to make it slide alittle bit rather than pick it up and the bottom scrapes on the table. Is the battery expanding? I do have apple care on the computer. It isnt tilting and spinning on the bulge, but it is hardly noticeable even if I look at the bottom from the side of the table. [link] [comments]  |

I want to keep the Time Capsule for my Mac backups though and would also like to use it for me and my wife as a storage device that we can both use for our files. | 2017 Macbook Pro speaker muffled Posted: 01 Nov 2019 08:46 PM PDT Hello, So here's a strange one. My right side speaker over time becomes very muffled and quiet. However, a restart fixes this 95% for a while, until it goes back to being muffled. I haven't upgraded to Catalina yet, as I'm worried about some music software not running on it, but I'm willing to if you guys think that'll fix it. This has been a problem for a while, and other Mac updates in the past haven't fixed it. Because of it fixing itself when I restart, I don't believe it's (or at least entirely) a hardware issue, unless someone thinks it might still be. So I suppose my question is, what's causing it? | How to stop notes hyperlinking words that coincide with movie titles. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 08:01 PM PDT Recently when ever I'm using notes for ideas and other things and I so happen to use words that happen to be in a movie title it gets turns into a hyperlink. For example. "It was the last stand against the martian" Both the last stand and the martian get turned into a link for those movies. | Apple Pencil Reverse Pressure Sensitivity Posted: 01 Nov 2019 09:30 AM PDT Im using a 9.7 iPad Pro and the 1st gen apple pencil. I dropped my pen a few too many times and now its acting weird. I screwed the tip in all the way but it wont work. I noticed that if i loosened the tip a a little it will work but only at a certain angle. Changing tips didnt do anything. When i press hard on procreate it makes a thin line and when i put a little less pressure the line becomes thicker. Im planning on getting a new one soon but still want to hold on to this one since it still works occasionally. I was just wondering if there was a fix to this and maybe save a $100 haha. | Posted: 01 Nov 2019 03:22 PM PDT It's a early 2015 MacBook pro 13" with Retina display. The problem is that yesterday she had to update her laptop OS from El Capitan to Catalina due to it being the most recent to try and support the programs she needs for school. The problem lies with OS Catalina no longer supporting 32bit programs. Her laptop only has 200GB proprietary storage and so she doesn't have enough space to dual boot and we can't boot a OS on a USB because the process time becomes significantly slower. So the only solution I can think of is too remove the proprietary solid state and buy a NVME adapter to then use a more easily compatible and affordable ssd, we would then either dual boot Catalina and Mojave or install windows 10. I just have some concerns with doing all this. I called apple support and I think whoever I spoke to is new because they didn't have a idea what to do. So I'm wondering if there would be any problems with taking the original stock SSD and swapping it out for a NVME. The person on the phone said that if I was to do it would be considered tampered and so I asked if I bought the hardware and brought it to a genius bar if they could do it and it wouldn't be considered tampered with, the support said it depends on the technician. | Can a volume left over after erasing hdd cause harm? Posted: 01 Nov 2019 12:42 PM PDT Maybe the question revealed this already, but this is far outside what I have any clue about. I bought a used Mac and wiped the HDD first thing. In the process I gave it a new name. After that, a volume with the old HDD name followed by "- data" was still there. I reinstalled on the newly erased HDD. The volume from before is still visible in disk utility, but doesn't seem to take up space. Can any (potentially malicious) software be left in that volume? Should I delete it and reinstall all over again? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 01 Nov 2019 04:09 PM PDT There's a red notification icon on my settings on my iPhone that wants me to update my payment info. So every time I try to go update it it won't let me. Even try going on the website and nothing. It won't let me. Thing is I had an outstanding bill and it was paid today so I'm unsure as to why it needs me to update my payment info if they got their money or really why I'm even seeing this notification. I spoke with an Apple rep a few months back and she told me to go to my settings and then go down to Wallet & Apple Pay and I could edit it there but for the life of me I forgot how haha. Either way how do I remove this annoyance? They got their money. The only things I sub to are Grindr (which is for 3 months), YouTube Premium and Apple Music. [link] [comments]  |

| Bluetooth headphones audio cuts off while using Macbook Air (early 2015) Posted: 01 Nov 2019 11:47 AM PDT Hey, I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3s that I like to use with my Macbook Air (early 2015) while studying/listening to music. The issue I'm having is that the audio in my headphones will just stop, despite my Bluetooth indicator showing that my headphones are still connected and my music player (usually Spotify) is still active. I have to disconnect and reconnect my headphones every time this happens, and it's very bothersome as the audio will cut out every 10 minutes at times. This issue only happens with my Macbook Air, since my OnePlus 2 (Android phone) is able to connect to my XM3s perfectly fine. My headphones have connected to my Macbook Air with no problems in the past, and I feel like this issue only started happening once I upgraded to macOS Catalina, but that may just be superstition.
