    Remove sliders from notification center?

    Is it possible to remove the "Night Shift" and "Do not Disturb" sliders from Today in notification center? These: https://i.imgur.com/tIOPUAW.png

    They take up a bunch of screen real estate in an area that needs as much as it can have for widgets. Plus they put it right at the top with a huge gap underneath it. It doesn't save your scroll position after sleep either.

    Reminders on iMac won't sync with Reminders on iPhone

    both the iMac OS and iPhone OS are updated to the most recent one.

    Notes can sync between both

    but for some reason the iMac Reminders can't sync with the iPhone Reminders, via icloud

    can anyone help?

    all the guides ive found recommended updating (which ive already done)

    and going into the icloud to see if Reminders is clicked (it is). its weird htat Notes on icloud can sync between the two but not Reminders

    Forward MacOS notification centre messages to iOS

    I'm doing a tv series where I kick off insanely long processes then go home.

    Using Silverstack i can send a growl notification that gets pushed to prowl on iOS. Works great.

    When I run dupes on Carbon Copy Cloner i can send an email to the prowl mail point and prowl shows it on iOS. Works great.

    BUT. Transmit and apparently every FTP client has abandoned growl and email and only send MacOS notification centre updates which I can't find a way to forward to iOS. I can set up an automation on the remote drive using a combination of Mountain Duck and Hazel to mail me but that obviously triggers after every file when what I want is a single 'upload completed' notification.

    SO. People of reddit - is there an app or other means of forwarding MacOS notification centre messages to iOS?

I update it from time to time based on feedback I'v gotten from people on Reddit, and some new discoveries that colleagues has brought to my attention (a free binaural panner and hi quality orchestral sample library among others!).

    Unable to erase heavy files in Photo Library

    Hello, I recently filmed a long video with my iPad (about 25Gb) and it automatically downloaded to my Mac through the iCloud Photo Library.

    A few days later I deleted it, and it disappeared from all of my devices, as wanted.

    But there was still a lot of space storage suddenly missing from my Macbook, and didn't understand why.

    I discovered that the files of the video were still in the Masters file of the Photo Library, even if they were deleted from my iCloud photo library and doesn't show anymore in my Photo App on my computer.

    I wanted to delete it directly in the Masters folder, but read online that it's a no-no.

    What should I do, since I can't delete from the Photos App (it doesn't show...)

    Short, random freezing/hanging

    I'm on 10.14.6 on a 2019 15" MBP. Pretty much any time I use the computer (Safari, games, etc) and even after a restart, I get these tiny micro-freezes that last half a second IF I don't interact with the computer for a bit. For example, scrolling on safari is totally smooth, but if I stop scrolling to read an article and then try to continue, the whole system pauses for a second (including my mouse) and then resumes working fine. This happens in Minecraft too, where the game is a smooth locked 60fps unless I pause for a second. Once I try to move the mouse again, whole system will hang for half a second and then resume being smooth. I've seen dozens of forum posts about this and people conclude it pertained to the Mojave update when that was fresh. This should have been sorted out by now though? Any other suggestions?

    Is it just me or Cmd+F is broken on latest Safari 13.0.1 while private browsing ?

    I discover new bugs on macOS almost every day... And each time I wonder whether it is my machine or everyone is affected.

    Today I noticed that on private browsing windows only, I can't use the "Search in page" feature in the newest Safari 13.0.1 : Cmd+F does nothing.

    People on Mojave with all the latest updates, do you have this issue too ?

    Does the Notes app offer more robust features?

    Is there a way to change the color of text?

    Is there a way to type math equations and symbols?

    Is there a way to sub bullet things? For instance say I have a bulleted list and in that list I want to add a dashed list to a single item in the original bulleted list, is this possible?

    I've been using the Notes app to take my notes this semester and I like it, but I don't know if it has these features which would be pretty nice if it does and I just wasn't looking in the right place.

    Macbook Pro 2012 wakes from sleep while closed

    So my macbook has had a very weird problem lately... it wakes up from sleep when the lid is closed but ONLY when plugged in. This issue does not happen while on battery power. I've tried all the recommended approaches: reset the SMC, turn off wake from bluetooth etc. There were no major settings I changed when this started happening so i'm not sure where to go from here. It's pretty annoying.

    It anyone has any pointers that would be wonderful. Thanks!

    Help! Family Photos External HDD freezing

    I'm trying to move some family photos from my external HDD to the Mac.
    There's 12gb of photos.
    Usually when I plug in the HDD it takes a good 5 minutes or so to load the first layer of folders. Then when I go into the photos it doesn't load previews of the photos for at least 5-10 minutes.

    I've tried dragging the photos onto the desktop and I have also tried to compress them. Unfortunately both usually say something like "66 days" as an ETA.

    Would really like to save the photos. Can anyone offer a solution?
