| Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:20 AM PDT Hi all I have a group chat via text with three friends. This group chat has existed, in some form, for years. This problem started a few years ago, I'm just trying to see if there is a solution. Three of us have iPhones, one does not. We'll refer to non-iPhone guy as X, and the other two as Y and Z. If I reply to the main group chat, X does not get it, but Y and Z do. So, I have to reply using a separate text chain with all three of them (which is separate from the main group chat). If I use this thread, they all get my text. On my phone, my texts are the only ones that is displayed in any way, on this chain: on my end, I literally see only my texts on this chain (again, the group chat is a separate thread). The group chat shows everyone else's texts. So I have to read what is going on in one text thread (main group chat) and then reply using a separate group chat (which I only see as my texts). I am the only one with this problem. So, is there a way to merge these two texting threads? It's kind of annoying. [link] [comments]  |

I don't have too many apps just the general groupmes, bank apps, Amazon... and I have the apple cloud storage for photos so that shouldn't be taking up so much, but still it says I'm running out of room everyday, but there's nothing I can delete! | Instagram Notifications - iPhone 11 Posted: 22 Oct 2019 07:00 PM PDT So I recently got an iPhone 11 about 2 weeks ago. Since then my notifications from instagram have stopped working. If someone were to dm me, like my photo or tag me in something i get nothing. I have checked all settings instagram and my notification settings on the phone, hard reset my phone, logged out and logged in, deleted and reinstalled the app and nothing. | Not able to change battery due to risk of explosion (iPhone 7) Posted: 22 Oct 2019 10:00 PM PDT Hi Reddit, About a year ago, I let a non authorized Apple repair shop install a new battery in my iPhone 7. Fast forward to a week ago. The battery was starting to show signs of slowing down and I decided to visit an authorized Apple repair shop to change it. The new shop had a look at the phone internally and saw that the previous, non authorized repair shop had somehow glued the battery to the inside. Due to the risk of the phone exploding upon removing the battery, they simply couldn't help me. Is there anything I can do to change the battery at this point, or do I have to get a new phone? The battery works, yet drains very quickly when I use the phone. I will definitely never let a non authorized repair shop fix my phone in the future. Lesson learned. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 22 Oct 2019 03:44 PM PDT So ever since the new IPhone game our, my screenshots have been terrible. I take a screenshot and you know how you're supposed to edit it or get it off the screen by sliding it to the left? Yeah, no. It's unresponsive. It just stays there and if I turn my phone it goes to the middle of the screen and I either have to shut it off (which takes like 30 seconds to do now apparently?) or wait for it to leave eventually. | iPhone Xs Back Camera Not working Posted: 22 Oct 2019 02:52 PM PDT recently the back camera on my xs has stopped working, showing a pink pixelated screen on all the photo modes except for portrait mode which apart from sometimes taking a few seconds to focus works fine. It started one morning when after I'd placed it on my desk for the night. | Posted: 22 Oct 2019 11:34 AM PDT Just bought an IPhone 11 yesterday after having the X. Loved the X. I cannot do anything on this. Downloading any type of app is taking eternity. Games (big gamer) won't load up and update. Had zero issues with the X and games and app downloads. It's like the antennae on this thing is pure garbage. Any suggestions? | I have no idea what's going on here �� Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:35 AM PDT Hey guys Any help here would be appreciated, as I'm getting a bit more frustrated than I probably should be, so I'm posting this here as a last resort 😅 So, here's the issue: My simcard in my iPhone won't let me use 4g, but 3g works fine. If I put my simcard in a different phone (I've tried both Huawei and Sony) then it works fine. If someone puts their simcard (same network operator) in my phone then works. This was on my iPhone xr. Bought a new 11 pro max today, and to my great frustration, the problem is still there. My sim has been changed twice in the last 4 months. I've tried hard factory resets, setting up phone without my iCloud backup (in case there is a bug in the copy), reset network settings, manually input apn. Nothing works. | Horizontal strip of screen is unresponsive Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:33 AM PDT I have an iPhone X. Latest OS. A tiny piece of the plastic between the screen and steel edge came off. I have a leather case and in the lower right corner there was something poking my finger. Didn't think anything of it, figured it was just some debris stuck in the edge of the case. Shortly after unnoticed I could send a message. Then other things wouldn't let me press. So I downloaded a sketch app and if you scribble all over the screen there's a narrow horizontal band about one inch up that won't allow touching. It allows swiping. Also sometimes there's random fast pressing, so my keyboard will go nuts and all sorts of things will start selecting and changing. But if I put it to sleep and awake it stops. I had no idea the phone was so fragile. It's always on a case. But it seems after a few short drops it was enough to cause this weird thin black plastic strip to break off. Asurion wants $200 to send a replacement but I'm living in Spain now. I'm thinking a repair shop may be the way to go. Anyone know what happened? Anyway to DIY repair? Thought about putting epoxy or glue in the tiny sliver of a gap where the little black piece came loose. It's like a half inch less than a kilometer of plastic that separated, so thin it was sharp.
