Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:59 PM PDT If you have any Resound, Oticon, Siemens, or Starkey hearing aids, you should be able to access your hearing aid menu from your apple watch! I mention Phonak at the end. Follow the instructions below (this is assuming you have already paired your hearing aids to your iphone, if you have not done this, then you will need to pair them through settings>accessibility>hearing devices>here you restart both or just one of your hearing aids depending on how many you have> they should pop up as options to connect>wait until BOTH R and L hearing aids appear if you have two, then tap to connect>It will ask you to pair twice since you have two hearing aids or just once if you only have one. Once your iphone is connected to your hearing aids, a 3 click of the home button will bring up the hearing aids shortcut menu. You are wanting this on your apple watch as well Now to access your hearing aid menu such as volume and battery from your watch. You have multiple options here. Either a complication shortcut to your hearing devices, or by adding the app that accompanies your hearing aids (if there is one) to your watch face. For adding the hearing devices shortcut and complication, make sure your hearing aids are connected first. I would go to the apple watch settings>accessibility>scroll down all the way to hearing devices and make sure they are connected. You can also tap "accessibility shortcuts" and enable the 3 click of your crown to also trigger the Hearing aid menu just like on your phone. Once your hearing aids are connected to your phone and you verified it on your watch, you should be able to add "Hearing devices" as a complication on your watch face. Some people have reported this was not working for awhile but hopefully that is resolved shortly if not already fixed! *Note here that if you have trouble tapping the home button quickly to trigger this menu, you can actually change the response speed needed to trigger this by going to Settings>accessibility>side button>change click speed to slowest. If you did not update to IoS 13 then it would be Settings>accessibility>home button>click to change speed to slowest. Another option is to add your actual hearing aid app to your phone. So far, Oticon ON, Starkey TruHearing, and Resound Smart 3D are the only ones I know of that have a watch compatible app. You can add the actual hearing aid app as the complication instead of the "hearing devices" complication I gave instructions for above. This will be easy access to your Hearing aid which will show battery life, programs, etc. Also, if you haven't done so already on your phone, you can add the hearing devices menu to your "control center". The menu that you get to when you pull down from the top right. You go to settings>control center>customize controls>and add hearing. This will let you bring up the hearing aid menu even when your phone is locked by swiping down from the top right or from the bottom if you have iphone 8 and older. My hope is that they add the hearing shortcut to the apple watch control center as well but no luck yet. I am an Audiologist (hearing and balance doctor) so I deal with this all day long. Feel free to ask any questions about your hearing aids and iphone connectivity as well! Keep in mind the latest IOS update messed with bluetooth connectivity for hearing aids but this *should* be fixed now per apple. For those of you with Phonak Marvels, your hearing aids connect to your phone as if they were headphones. So while you can't access battery life etc from your watch, you can still control music/calls from your watch as it is connected to your phone which is connected to your watch. So if you go to the next track on pandora, that will tell your hearing aids to stream the next track. Hopefully Phonak Remote becomes available on apple watch soon! [link] [comments]

[Support] Can you control iphone music from watch? Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:23 AM PDT My wife is wondering if an apple watch will solve a very specific annoyance she has, but I'm not sure if it is capable of doing what she wants to. I hope this is an appropriate place to post this, I even read the rules! She is a figure skating coach and plays music in the rink as she instructs. She connects her phone to the rink sound system via aux cable and leaves the phone on the boards as she skates around instructing skaters. Throughout practice, she has to skate over to the phone, pause, scrub, play, etc over and over dozens of times as they work on sections of the program. It's sort of annoying and an inefficient use of time. She's wondering if she can control the music playback of her iPhone through an apple watch and I took it upon myself to find out. TL:DR - Can you control iphone playback through iphone, like a remote? [link] [comments]
If you have reminders or calendar sync issue with your Apple Watch... Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:17 AM PDT Hey ! Since we're in an era where there is bugs everywhere in the Apple ecosystem, we'all now have to find workarounds for all this stuff to work properly (sorry for the sarcasm but I am really MAD that I just bought my first Apple Watch a few days ago at a premium price and already have plenty of bugs on it). So one of the bugs I had was calendar events and reminders syncing randomly or not syncing at all with the phone. And I wanted to share a simple solution that worked for me (at least for now) and which doesn't require to reset or unpair the watch. First thing you should now is that reminder and calendar sync are handled by the same "engine". And it turns out that changing a setting in calendar on my iPhone resolved both issues I had (with calendars and reminders) on my watch. On my phone I had plenty of calendars (iCloud calendars but also Outlook calendars, Gmail calendars and subscription URL-based calendars). It turns out one of them (I don't know which one) has a syncing issue or was glitched in some way (obviously the iPhone never told me nothing about that). Here is the solution that worked for me : On the iPhone settings, under "Account and passwords" I opened every account I had set up, and disabled "Calendar" for every account except iCloud. Once I did that, go to the Calendar app on your iPhone, click "Calendars" in the bottom and pull down to refresh. After doing that, both the iCloud reminders and the iCloud calendar events started to sync properly between my watch and all my devices. I then re-enabled all third-party calendar account, and it was still working for iCloud plus all these other accounts. Hope this solution will work for you too ! [link] [comments]
Apple Watch won’t pair with new iPhone 11 Pro Max Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:08 AM PDT Here's to scoop. Wife's old setup was an iPhone 8 + running iOS 13.2 beta, assuming this means the watch was on beta watchOS? Now when trying to pair the watch to the new phone after unpairing it from the iPhone 8, it will not pair to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It gets to the cloud image to scan, but then it won't pair? Is this because the watch is technically on a higher OS than the new phone(13.1.2)? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]
Best way to monitor battery levels of multiple watches? Posted: 23 Oct 2019 09:45 AM PDT Like the title says. Whenever one watch is paired to the phone, my iPhone stops monitoring the battery level of the unpaired watch. So far the only way that I know is to uncheck "auto switch" and pair the other watch manually to check its battery level through my iPhone. Is there an easier way? I am trying to look for a way to make a shortcut widget, but I'm kind of a noob when it comes to shortcuts. Or maybe there's an app for this? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you. Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:15 AM PDT Just curious, anyone knows what happens to accessories like bands and chargers that get returned along with some Apple Watches? Or even those bands that are purchased separately and then returned. They get tossed out? [link] [comments]
Watch and iphone app that alerts when disconnected from each other. Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:53 PM PDT Does anyone know of a good app that will alert/notify you either on the watch or iPhone when they disconnect? Most of the time I'll forget my phone and it would be nice to get an alert when the bluetooth disconnects. Sometimes I take off the watch and leave with my phone. Anyone know of a good app that will alert? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:01 AM PDT Suddenly, my watch is showing that location services are being used all the time to show my weather. Before, there would be no arrow next to the weather. Now there is a blue filled arrow. Does anyone know why this happened? Does this mean that i'm constantly using data on my watch if my phone isn't around? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change this as there is no location services option for the weather that i can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this drives my OCD crazy. Maybe a dumb question about Pandora Posted: 23 Oct 2019 07:13 AM PDT I am a lifelong Luddite that has recently acquired an Apple Watch Series 5 GPS model. When my watch is connected to WiFi (say at the gym), is it possible to stream Pandora directly from the watch to my AirPods without my iPhone nearby? Whenever I try, the Pandora screen is just a set of controls that don't seem to do anything. [link] [comments]
Do you guys notice a lot of variability when it comes to sport loop Velcro strength? Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:57 AM PDT This has kind of driven me crazy lately. I'm trying to get the "perfect" loop for my new watch. But after trying a few I've discovered that the Velcro is sometimes strong, sometimes only strong if you really press it in, and sometimes so weak it will almost come up just on its own. I also had a lug that wouldn't fit in the watch. And the fabric seems to change between loops, sometimes thinner/tighter and sometimes thicker/more plush. Am I just driving myself nuts? Have you guys noticed anything similar? [link] [comments]
