| Is Apple TV Channels content consistently available on time? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 11:16 PM PDT When Apple TV Channels was new, I tried a free 1 week subscription to Cinemax several months ago. New content was not consistently available on the advertised date/time. Customers who subscribe to Cinemax directly did receive the content on time. One show was delayed almost a week. I got to see it just before my free subscription ended. At the time, other people complained about this issue with other services. Has it gotten better? I was thinking of switching CBS All Access to a Channels subscription because the native CBS iOS app's player is sub-par. You can't zoom to fit on an iPhone like you can do on most video players. I enjoy Star Trek Discovery and look forward to Star Trek Picard. When new episodes are released, I would be VERY disappointed if Channels is late. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:44 AM PDT I asked Siri to recommend me some horror movies and it's first recommendation was Silicon Valley, plus a handful of other TV shows. So no movies, just generic TV Show recs. Then I asked it again, and yet again I can see it registered the question correctly, 'can you recommend me a good horror movie? | Posted: 30 Oct 2019 11:02 PM PDT I set my ATV to not sleep. It's connected to an AV receiver and then a projector. When I try to turn it on, nothing happens. I press all the buttons on the remote and the white light on ATV blinks but no signal. When I disconnect power and reconnect, it works fine. When in the "deep sleep" state and I connect it directly to projector, still no signal. Anything else I should try? Thanks!! [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:20 PM PDT I personally have only seen this with 13.2, normally I would say "hey siri call John" and it would call on speaker, this was new to ios 13, but now it won't do it as the apple tv shows up. it'll go away if i disable wifi, i have disabled airplay on the apple tv, so i'm not sure what the source of this is. | Netflix app credits countdown at start of episode Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:21 PM PDT So this may not be a thing that is solveable here and may be related to Netflix (or Apple?) but I just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed the same issue. Every time I start an episode of a series in Netflix (or continue watching an episode) the countdown for the credits starts counting down, asking if I want to skip to the next episodes or continue watching the credits... at the start of the episode. I tried quitting the app and reinstalling it and logging in completely fresh and this happens on both my Apple TVs across two users (both on the same Netflix account). Is it a tvOS 13.2 bug, perhaps? It's the only thing that has changed software or hardware-wise since yesterday when I did not have this bug. I also tried it on my Sony Android internal app, and the same problem did not happen there. EDIT: SOLUTION FOUND A gentleman on Twitter had the same issue and said this can be avoided if you turn on autoplay on Netflix on the web. Go to account - playback settings and activate autoplaying next episode. If anyone else has the same issue in the future and needs help <3 [link] [comments]  | ||

I just got it as a present and don't know much about it or what it does. I was wondering if there's any suggestions as to what I can get on it worthwhile and basically what it's all about? | Disney movies not in 4K, but look 4K Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:58 PM PDT On my ATV 4K I'm multitasking between the new Lion King in the Apple TV app and also in the VUDU app. ATV version is labeled "HD" like all other Disney movies and the VUDU version is 4K HDR. So, swapping back and forth I cannot visibly see a difference between the two. Are they using a 4K version on ATV and not labeling it as such? [link] [comments]  | ||
| AppleTV shuts off during airplay of Spotify Posted: 30 Oct 2019 03:43 PM PDT My AppleTV 4th Gen is shutting off only when I AirPlay Spotify exactly 15 minutes after I start playing. I looked in settings and the sleep timer is set to 15 minutes, so it's obviously putting itself to sleep, but why isn't it recognizing that it's playing something? I am looking to install a internet browser apps just in case I have to accept internet connections from public wifi sources such as hotels and Xfinity hotspots. I do have a Mac with Xcode and a developer account but can't find an app that supports tvOS13.
