iOS 13.2 finally resolves voice notes stuck on “downloading” issue & Apple Music continually re-downloading songs I’ve already downloaded

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 04:11 AM PDT

I know the previous update's release notes said it addressed the issue, but I still had voice notes with the "downloading" status. After iOS 13.2 I noticed all the voice notes are how they were with no "downloading" status.

As for music re-downloading constantly, just before the update I cancelled the batch of music downloading, toggled Apple Music on and off in Settings and updated. So far no music re-downloading.

    Glad to see these fixes.

iPhone 11 Pro Max crashing after 13.2 update

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 12:58 AM PDT

My iPhone 11 Pro Max has crashed "completely" back to boot - get the apple logo on black screen and iPhone restart etc - twice this morning alone after updating to iOS 13.2 overnight.

Now, both times, I was using the Reddit app.

And, this is a relatively new phone (a couple of weeks).

So, not sure whether this is specifically iOS 13.2, or perhaps the Reddit app (though I don't see why it should be possible for an app to crash the whole OS now), or perhaps my phone is faulty (but had no problems before the update overnight), hence why posting here to see whether anyone else is having the same kind of issue.

    Battery Charging Indicator

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:13 AM PDT

Wish the charging indicator indicated the type of charge an iPhone (and other Apple devices) is receiving. Possibly in control panel. Here's some ideas.

    • Hollowed lightning bolt - Wireless
    • Solid lightning bolt - Regular Charge
    • Two lightning bolts - Quick charge

This could be indicated in the battery section of settings too?

Step competition with fellow iOS users?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:26 AM PDT

I'm wanting to know if it's possible to do a step competition between iPhone users through the Health app. My Dad has an Apple Watch but I don't, and I was wondering if I could still do a competition with him through my Health app? Thanks

    Any App for Series?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:21 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I have Netflix but I literally watched everything I like on it, is there any app to watch series on? Something like the old Popcorn time?

Offloaded apps can not be removed without making all icons wiggle apparently.

[feature] They listened to us. Now we can delete any app directly from the 3D touch pop up.

iOS 13.2 - Battery problems persist

    Posted: 29 Oct 2019 11:02 PM PDT

My wife has a 6s and a I have a 6s Plus, both got new batteries (from Apple) for New Years last year, so both are relatively new.

The Plus is at 90% capacity, the non-plus is 95%.

Both are dropping power like it's going out of style. The non-s seems to be charging normally, the Plus seems to be charging artificially fast. Like going from 10% to 50% charge in ~ 15 minutes, which isn't actually possible on these.

We were fine with 13.1, but when we went to 13.2 we got hit with the battery issues. I updated both phones today, but the batteries are both still well and truly borked. To give an example, when I started this post (on the Reddit app) I was at 89% and I am now at 61%.

Soooo.... when's the next update coming?

    (edited for typos)

Downgrade ios 13.1.3 to ios 12.x on 6S

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:45 AM PDT

I have an iPhone 6s and was happy with it, but since updating to ios 13 it feels like my battery life has been sliced in half.

So right now my only options of using the phone are either constantly bringing a powerbank or just getting a new phone.

I've tried to find some info online about downgrading, but it feels like there are absolutely no possibilities to downgrade..

Does anybody by chance know a way to downgrade or improve the battery life?

Ps: My battery health is at 85%, so I wouldn't say that's drastically low.

    OTA updates not working

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 04:26 AM PDT

My backup is somehow corrupted and I can't update OTA. It happened with my iPhone 7 either by jailbreak or using iMazing. I have noticed the problem after I had to bypass the activation screen with iMazing. After I've restored the backup to my XS Max, the same problem happened. And now with the 11 Pro Max. When the phones are restored to factory settings the OTA updates are working perfectly. The problem is within the backup. Does anyone know if there's a way to maybe edit a plist file or something within the backup to fix that?

Disabling Live Photos? Can't do it?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:01 AM PDT

I'm not sure if I'm crazy or not, but I thought the Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings allows you to keep your settings in place for Live Photos. Every time I turn off Live Photo, I feel that it randomly comes back and I have to turn it off again.

Is anyone else having this issue? Did iOS 13 change the way Preserve Settings works with Live Photos?

    Transparent Wallpaper In iOS 13.2

    Transparent Wallpaper In iOS 13.2

Since updating to iOS 13.2 have noticed that when using a transparent png image as wallpaper, prior to iOS 13.2 the transparent section would be black. However after the update its now white!

This photo is a good example... again previously the background would be black when set as wallpaper, but since 13.2 its now white! Anyone else noticed this? Workaround?

Microphones stopped working on iPhone 7 Plus

    Posted: 29 Oct 2019 09:05 PM PDT

A couple of weeks ago all three of my iPhone 7 Plus' microphones stopped working or stopped being detected by ios. Facetime calls instantly drop, siri won't start, all videos that are recorded show up as having no sound. Any thoughts?

Ghost alarms after phone update 13.2

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:28 AM PDT

So I updated to 13.2 a couple days ago. I had all of my morning alarms set before I updated.

Once the update was finished, I noticed all of my alarms were turned back off. So, I turned them all on once more.

Morning rolls around and my alarms go off. I turn everything off and get up.

Next thing I know, every alarm continues going off even though they're not switched on. This has been going on the past 2 mornings. I turn all alarms off, and they still go off every couple of minutes (I had 15-20 alarms set).

These ghost alarms are driving me nuts. I have no control over them and now my phone just blares from 7:30am-8:30am nonstop. I force closed clock app, deleted every alarm time, restarted phone multiple times, nothing. Just constant ghost alarms that I can't turn off. Seems like all the alarms I set pre-update remained and now are stuck there in a 3rd dimension limbo.

Any suggestions? Honestly driving me nuts. I had off work today and had to turn my phone off because it wouldn't stop waking me up.

Is there a way to add your own audiobooks to iOS books app?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 03:35 AM PDT

I have a lot of old audiobooks on cds that I transferred to my Mac as mp3 files.

Is there a way to transfer them to the books app so they will be recognised as audiobooks that will allow me to use all its features?

Update iOS: Two Methods. Which One?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:00 AM PDT

iOS 13.2 is out and I guess it's time to tell the seniors in my classes that it's ok to upgrade their iPhones.

What are your feelings on upgrading via WiFi versus hooking your phone to your computer, launching iTunes, and doing it that way?

I have always used the computer/iTunes method because my computer is connected to the router via ethernet cable and therefore it's a bit quicker.

I just updated that way and wrote detailed instructions for the seniors to follow in case folks here believe that using the computer/iTunes methos is the better way to update our iPhones.

    Many thanks,
