    I've got an image that I took in HEIC but didn't have GPS enabled for. I'd like to add GPS location to the image, and I can do it from within the photos app, but making the change to the file forces it into a JPG when I export, share, or airdrop the file. There's no way that I can find to export the modified file as HEIC.

    How do I add GPS data to the HEIC photo and keep the photo as HEIC?

    Currently using Mohave.

    Making sure second hand apple device doesnt get icloud locked by original user?

    I'm not very familiar with apple products and the icloud locking capabilities. I recently bought two iPads, first and third gen. They arent locked. If I factory reset and put in my login info, do i have full ownership and original owner cant randomly lock them?

    My iPhone X has 91% battery health. Is it worth getting the battery replaced?

    I've had it since Christmas last year as it was a replacement device, and pretty much hope to continue using it for a couple more years.

    I average a screen time of around 6-7hours a day.

    I know this isn't a tech question but I figured posting this here would be my best bet at getting an answer.

    So basically I want to upgrade my phone and do it at the actual Apple store because I'm still on my parents Verizon plan and I want the new phone to charge me and not them. I know I could give them money each month and buy it through Verizon, but I'd rather just have them bill me. Is there a way to get the 2 year financing without having to get an Apple credit card or having me do it through my phone carrier? If not it's no big deal, it's just that it'd be preference.

    MBP Screen Repair

    If the screen gets repaired and they put a newer screen in it would I still be able to get support from Apple? For example putting a 2019 screen on a 2017 MBP after the 2017 screen was damaged?

    2011 macbook air issue

    Booted on option connected to wifi obvioudidnt work no maacs on network. Friends IPhone is but I don't think that counts.

    Nvram rest Sat forever computer got hot.

    Just did Smc sscreen is similar as other techniques.

    SO updated her iPhone 7 Plus to either 12.4.2 or 13.1, update caused a Boot Loop, Boot Loop follows and there's no backup for the last 12 months. Anything to be done to recover holiday photos & vids?

    Genius Bar diagnostics says phone doesn't even "turn on" during the loop, and I've "completed" the iOS update with iTunes 5 times, but when the update triggers the reboot, we're back where we started. Any and all thoughts are welcomed.

    watchOS 6 keeps asking me to sign in to FaceTime/iMessage

    Ever since I upgrade my Apple Watch Series 4 to watchOS 6, the watch keeps asking me to enter password to sign in to FaceTime and iMessage, and I did multiple times with the initial release and the 6.0.1 release using either scribble or Apple Watch keyboard on my phone (BTW, this sucks, I can't even type my password or select the password from iCloud Keychain fast enough before the screen disappear). But all I got is an error says Verification Failed An unknown error occurred.

    I have already reset both of them, but that didn't fix it. Any suggestion on how to solve this?

    FYI, I'm using two different Apple IDs for iCloud and iMessage/FaceTime.

    Apple subscription refund

    Has anyone successfully gotten a refund from a subscription from Apple? I was on a Apple music subscription trial and didn't cancel in time (one day later) and just got charged. Been looking around and does this one trial allowed policy exist? I have no past history with requesting for refunds.

    Apple Pencil Battery Replacement for $29?

    My wife let her Apple Pencil set in a drawer unused for awhile. When she went to let my daughter try it out on my daughter's new iPad, she found out that it wasn't working at all.

    The Apple website says $29 will replace the battery, but when my wife into the apple store today, they told her that "it was probably defective" and they don't replace batteries.

    I get that it's not user replaceable, or perhaps Apple replaceable, but has anyone successfully gotten a battery/pencil replacement for $29? What are the conditions?

    I made a clone of my hard drive because my Macbook Pro was malfunctioning (not a time machine backup (it was the best I could do in recovery mode)) and now I want to restore the contents on my Sierra backup on Mohave without going back to Sierra. How can I do this? Is there software I can buy that will help me?

    My MacBook Pro was stepped on

    So my MacBook Pro was stepped on last night, somehow the screen is unaffected but the area around the mousepad is bent in slightly, making it impossible to close all the way. Everything seems to be working fine. Does anyone know if this is something the Genius Bar will be able to fix (have an appt in a few days), or is it significant enough that it won't be worth to fix without getting a new laptop.

    Siri in car over bluetooth

    Since the ios13 update I've been having issues with Siri in my car via Bluetooth. When I activate Siri through the button on my steering wheel and ask her a question she never responds. I get the "give me a second" "I'm working on that" response from Siri.

    If I use car play directly it works fine. This only happens when connected just through Bluetooth.

    Any ideas what could be causing this? I've checked my settings and nothing has changed since prior to the update but it started with the ios13 update.

    iPhone 8 (iOS to 13) advice

    I have an iPhone 8 running iOS 11.0.3 and didn't know that I needed iOS 13 for the new Apple Watch. I HATE updating iPhones to an iOS that wasn't made for the phone I own. I feel like it never works the it's intended on older devices. Updating any of my devices (MacBook, iPhone, etc) always makes me an anxious mess. Any advice on the jump from 11 to 13? Should I even do it? I'm really sad that as of right now I just spent nearly $500 on what is currently just a paperweight.

    Siri won't open a finder window with search results. Is this a widespread issue or just my machine?

    If I ask Siri something like "show me all files created in the past 2 days", I get a notification of the results and if I click on the "show ### results in finder", the notification just disappears and Finder doesn't open.

    If I add the search as a widget, I can click the show all results a million times and it just does.. nothing.

    Id use this ALL THE TIME if it worked. Is there something Im doing wrong?

    Should I sell my 2018 MBA and get a late 2015 MBP?

    I got one of the new macbook airs when it came out and it's fine although I'm starting to get one key stick intermittently. This is hugely frustrating since it's only a year old and 95% of the time I am using it in clamshell mode with my thunderbolt display.

    I was browsing around on ebay and I see that I can sell my air for like 850-950 and get a pretty macbook pro 15" from 2015 for around the same or slightly more (16g/ 1TB)

    Am I crazy to pull the trigger? Are these 2015 MBPs build like tanks in the same way my old macbook air was?

    I do a bit of photo and video editing but it's mostly web / wordpress / office I'm doing on it.

    Ok, so I’ve been having issue with my Cellular data with T-mobile on XS Max for quite some time now. I had my sim swapped and even received a new phone and still have same issue. My wife has exact same phone and plan and hers was fine through all of this. So what’s up?

    I've suspected my phone has been bugged or one of those fake stingray towers. Is that even a possibility? I've even done the iPhone field test with results of -124 which is terrible while my wife's was -60 which Is near perfect.
