I love the tips that iOS gives us. My husband thinks it’s pointless and deleted it but from time to time it shows me things I didn’t even know about - like this. Turning a screenshot into a full page PDF. I think this is so cool.

(Screenshot of the OG iPhone comments from reddit back then) I think we have turned full circle. A lot of people are complaining about iPhone 11 Pro not having having 5G & more storage.

The new iPhones have the longest battery life (but the XR beat the 11 in this test)

Night mode picture quality 11 Pro vs 11

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:38 AM PDT

In Night Mode, does the Pro pull data from all 3 cameras to create the picture? If so, is there a noticeable difference between Night Mode on the Pro vs the 11?

Lower Price on 11 changed the resell market?

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:05 AM PDT

I have always bought used iPhones from eBay/swappa/ craigslist for the past decade and felt good about the price discount. Could get a one to two year old phone for about half of what it cost new.

But, it seems like the drop to $700 on the new iPhones has not changed the value of used phones. I am seeing XR's and X's continue to go in the $500+ range. It's hard to imagine people continuing to pay for a used, somewhat dated phone for a little less than a new 11.

Do you think the lower price on the 11 has drastically changed the resell market so that older phones that cost more new will continue to sell for just a little less than an 11? Or do you think the market will go down dramatically in the coming months?

Question for you regular “x” or “pro” users

    Posted: 23 Sep 2019 08:48 PM PDT

As someone who has always preferred the bigger devices (Android and iPhone) what draws you into the smaller devices? And for the more intense users, how is gaming on these phones?

A couple issues with a new iPhone 11 Pro Max's back ups and data syncs on a mac OS' iTunes...

    Posted: 23 Sep 2019 11:27 PM PDT

Anyone go down in screen size this year and have thoughts on the smaller phone?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2019 01:11 PM PDT

The iPhone lineup this year is seriously making it tough on which route to go until next year. I always felt the Max from last year was inconvenient at times, especially in my front pockets. Not so with the 11 Pro. Now a few days in there's times where I'm having a little remorse when browsing the web and looking at a larger article on News or something. Anyone else have their thoughts on trying to downsize? Are you going to enjoy the smaller phone or exchange back for the Pro Max? Feeling like I'm thinking too much into this decision and need some internet friends to validate my feelings.. haha

Apple releases new “Look what you can do with iPadOS” video

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 10:21 AM PDT

I upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro Max from the iPhone 7+... Its basically the same phone with some usability differences (no home button, face ID unlock, swipe down for control center)... Can anyone give me some tips on what usage I may have missed out on?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2019 12:16 PM PDT

I was expecting the phone usage experience to be a little different, but really it feels like its the same phone as my iPhone 7+. Most of the apps I use are performing just about the same and my navigating is a bit reduced going from the home button to all-display, no button design (still getting used to it).

Are there some things that occurred in the interim between the 7+ and 11 that I may have skipped? I have an Apple Watch and am trying to optimize my workflow and take full advantage of the tech I have at my disposal.)

I figured out why my 11 Pro Max photos looks off

    Posted: 23 Sep 2019 01:11 PM PDT

I made a post a couple days ago saying that the photos taken with my 11 Pro Max looked like they had been edited with the sharpness turned all the way up. However, when I looked at the same photos on my old XS or iPad they looked fine.

I also noticed that sometimes in iMessage the text field where you compose your message looked more white than the rest of the screen (which I have also seen a couple people complain about).

I think it might be an issue with the XDR display or the software that handles it. It seems like it is boosting the brightness of the whites when it doesn't need to.

To reproduce the issue, get a photo that you have taken with the 11 pro or pro max. Also, open up an iMessage chat. Start with the photo and leave it open for about 5 seconds. Then using the gesture to switch quickly between apps, swipe over to your open iMessage chat. If you stare at the field where you type your message, you'll see that it starts out more white than the rest of the screen but then after a couple seconds it changes to match the rest of the screen. If you go back to the photo you had open and stare at a section of the photo that has the most white or the brightest part you can see it change and get brighter (it seems to work best with bright photos or photos that have a lighter object in them).

Hopefully this is just a software issue and it will be fixed with iOS 13.1. Can anybody else reproduce this issue?
