    Just received this mail from the Pixelmator team - seems they've - for now anyway - canceled the Pixelmator Pro for iPad🙄

    So, too anyone else holding out from buying Affinity Pro - go ahead, unless you want to stick by Adobe's Photoshop subscription plan, of course

    ipad pro 10.5 or 11?

    I'm starting uni in 2 weeks and i want to buy an iPad for note taking and i was wondering if there are any major differences between the two. I want to buy tbe ipad pro 10.5 because im satisfied with its size and because it's cheaper. would the 10.5 be slower and have a shorter lifespan as it's older? im lost and i just want to make sure that it's okay to buy the ipad 10.5.

    Output 2160p on 2018 iPad Pro

    Hoping someone can help. Trying to connect my iPad to my LG B7 via usb c to HDMI adapter that I have that is 4K/60hz capable. When I output iTunes 4K movies the tv correctly shows 2160p but if I play back any videos that I've recorded in 4K on my iPhone it is showing just 1080p. Any advice or settings I should tweak? The adapter works fine on my 2016 MacBook Pro with 4K content.

    Music theory study app or book recommendations?

    Howdy,

    Looking for a good app or book to add on the ipad to pick up learning of music theory again. Had the very basics of music theory when I was younger, but I want to pretty much cover the full extent of the thing at my own pace instead of heading towards an academy outside of work hours. Planning on teaching myself the piano afterwards (after getting a full comprehension of theory) so I can actually understand what I'm playing instead of just copying what others are doing in piano tutorials. Ambitious, I know!

    A quick google suggested 'ABRSM Theory works' app - anyone with on-hand experience? Does it go in-depth enough?
    Otherwise I'd like to look for some good book PDF's I can read through on the tablet.

    Basic iPadOS Question

    I have an iPad Air3 running iPadOS 13.1.1 with lightning connector (of course). If I purchase the Apple lightning to USB3 camera adapter can I connect any type of external storage device? I understand I may need to provide external power for some devices. Thanks for your help.

    My iPad 2017 battery is draining really fast

    I just installed iPadOS on my iPad 2017 and the battery is starting to drain really fast. It dropped 10% in like 20 minutes. Did anyone else face this problem? What should I do?

    My brightness is at halfway, screen time is off and Bluetooth is off.

    Anyone else disappointed with the floating keyboard?

    I was really excited for this feature, but the implementation has been incredibly buggy for me so far (iPadOS 13.1). It frequently gets stuck in the bottom left corner & won't move when pressing the bottom bar. Anyone else experiencing the same or found a fix?

    Edit: This seems to be an issue primarily with texting apps, iMessage included.

    Queries regarding Ipad 6th gen (32gb Model)

    How much free space will I get from out of the box ? The 128gb model here cost 140 dollars more which is same for ipad mini 64gb so will it be worth it to spend 140 dollars? I am kinda tight on budget right now.

    How long will they support the 2018 ipad and I have no idea about ipados/ios so any advice will be appreciated.

    Could you use an iPad for programming?

    I am studying computer engineer. I need a device for studying, taking notes, reading and even programming. But light wight programming, I could connect to my very powerfull computer at home if needed.

    I am mainly programming Python, and using Jupyter Notebooks. However, other times I used Eclipse, Vistual Studio, Visual Code...

    I have discovered that there is a good python IDE called Pythonista and another one called Continuous for C#

    The main facts i am looking for are battery and weight. Do you think that an iPad Air 2019 would be a good device?

    Ipad dims and recovers

    Odd thing. Ipad air 3, running ipados. I've noticed that the screen will dim and get brighter on the ipad. It doesn't appear to be the in-activity dimming, it happens even during use

    After being scared to death of “bendgate” I finally bought a pro today and am in love. I can’t draw but this is the first thing I did testing out the Apple Pencil 2 haha. For anyone that cares, Everything was drawn in Procreate other than the pic of Elon obviously.

    Bad Experience in Google Docs

    One of the examples that Apple brought regarding desktop-class safari was Google Docs.

    I use Google Docs a lot and have always found your application less efficient than the desktop version.

    However, using it on iPadOS has been a bad experience and not at all fluid. At various times I have to touch the screen several times for the keyboard to appear, among other frustrations.

    Has anyone else had the same bad experience with Google Docs, Sheets, etc?
