[Question] iPadOS 13.1 update bricking my iPad Pro 10.5", can't update at all Posted: 26 Sep 2019 11:08 AM PDT So, with my iPad Pro I'd attempted to install the iPadOS 13 beta a few times, and when I did, the iPad screen would go black and not come back on during the update, even after 20 minutes of waiting, and required a DFU restore to get back to normal. I figured it was just a kink or a bug that'd get worked out by the full release, and just moved on. Now that the full release of iPadOS 13.1 is out, I thought I'd try again, but the same issue is still happening when I try to update, however iTunes now by default attempts to install 13.1 during the DFU restore process, which results in an error 4005, and won't install this way, effectively making the device a brick. I've got the iPad working again by installing an IPSW of 12.4.1 via DFU mode, and it functions perfectly, but no matter what I do, or how I try to install it, or from what state I install it (clean install, OTA from clean install, OTA from backup, pushed from iTunes, pushed from IPSW etc.) the update without fail spends around 5 minutes going normally, then the screen goes black and never comes back on, again requiring the DFU restore to 12.4.1. I'm completely stumped. I have no idea how else I can attempt to install this update, and as usual Apple Support is as useful as a chocolate teapot. I'd take it to an Apple store but it's a long distance away and they'd likely try and say I broke it or something and charge me for the repair/replacement anyway. I'm fairly confident this is just a software bug with this update, I ran into a person in another thread who has the exact same issue and successfully brought their iPad back to life with 12.4.1 as well, and there's one or two reports on the Apple forums, so while it isn't a widespread issue it definitely doesn't seem to be isolated, but I'm not sure what to do about it, or how to bring it to Apple's attention. Any help? [link] [comments]

[QUESTION] Which is more current: ios 13.1 release version or ips13.1 public beta 4? Posted: 26 Sep 2019 12:41 PM PDT Hi. I jumped off the beta train when iOS13.1 was released for my iPhoneXR. I have iOS13 release version on my device now. I missed being in the beta cycle and reinstalled the public beta profile a few minutes ago. Now the system is telling me anta ios13.1 beta 4 is available. My question is which version is more up to date: ios13.1 release version or ios13.1 public beta 4. Thanks and good to be back after a brief hiatus! [link] [comments]

[QUESTION] Can someone explain slide over apps to me? Posted: 26 Sep 2019 10:25 AM PDT I understand how to get apps into slide over and use the app switcher and all that. Mostly I'm confused about when the apps that are in slide over decide to quit. Maybe I'm not paying attention but it seems almost arbitrary to me. Not really a usability issue, I'm just curious. [Bug] iPadOS using Logitech G603 (via Bluetooth) - Cursor massive lag (essentially non-functioning) Posted: 26 Sep 2019 01:18 AM PDT Also to clarify has a few settings (taken straight from the website product page:)didn't seem to work when using Bluetooth) but now the on screen cursor is so laggy! Is there a fix for this or is anyone having the same problem? Also to clarify:t has a few settings (taken straight from the website product page:)
However when I hook it up via Bluetooth 2 bugs occur: When I use it via dongle (wireless), the mouse responds fine on "Lo" settings, but gets erratic on "High" settings on the mouse (which confirms the high poll rate bug issue that iPadOS can't handle high polling rate mouse.) However when I hook it up via bluetooth 2 bugs occur:

[Question] Does Screen Time still drain battery? Posted: 25 Sep 2019 09:48 PM PDT I remember seeing posts about iOS 12 saying to disable Screen Time to save battery. Is that still the case for iOS 13+? [link] [comments]

[Question] Has Profile settings disappeared from settings? Posted: 25 Sep 2019 07:26 PM PDT Hello all, so I am currently trying to remove the Beta profile from my phone so I can just update with the next release of iOS 13.1. The problem is, I can't find the settings for profiles under the general category. If someone has/is dealing with this and has a solution, please share! [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Sep 2019 03:08 PM PDT I realize this subreddit is specific to iOS betas, but this is a bug that was present in iOS beta 13.1 beta 4, and still exists even in the public release of 13.1. At random times, notably with occasional group texts, my phone carries out an incorrect vibration tone, different from the one I chose in settings. Is anyone also experiencing this? And has anyone found a fix? Thanks [link] [comments] |
