iPhone 8 Plus burning chargers? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 02:23 PM PDT TLDR: When I unplugged the charger from my iPhone it was burnt to heck!! Photo below: I'm on a long road trip and I unplugged my phone for a moment and smelled something burnt. Looked at the cable and it was toasted! I thought it was an issue with the cable (housing is cracked slightly) so I stuck another in. Then I pulled that one out and the same thing! This is more burnt than the normal blackening of the 4th pin. This is smelly, scared the crap out of me in the car burning. So uhhh what should I do? Additional info: First cable was official Apple, second was cheapy My phone has still been charging! It's been plugged in all day (I'm on a long road trip) but it definitely started at some point today. Last night I fully charged my phone with the cheap cable and there was no problem. Last night my friends cat bit the cable, which I didn't notice until now. This was NOT the cable where I first noticed the issue, this was the second, cheap cable (which is still working) No water damage that I know of [link] [comments] |
My iPhone XS Max when leaving WiFi just totally loses data connection Posted: 29 Aug 2019 12:41 PM PDT And usually doesn't regain it till I restart. Is that something I can fix? [link] [comments] |
Can’t Send iMessages to New Contacts Posted: 29 Aug 2019 11:33 AM PDT I have an iPhone but do not have a SIM card for it. If without the SIM card I should be able to text other iPhones with WiFi via iMessage. Yet when I try to text my friends iPhone, her number is green and says that I need to enable MMS messaging in settings (which isn't an option since I have no SIM card in). What can I do to fix this? Green line cross the screen (IPX) Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:58 AM PDT Hi! So i just did screen replacement on iphone x, it's working fine but sometimes it has this thin green line going when i wake up the screen, but it disappears in second. I have changed my old iphones screen's before but never had this kind of issue on brand new screen. Is it pixel related? Is it manufacturer fault or did i just do a mistake? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:12 AM PDT My Iphone 7plus is stuck booting over and over for a few seconds and I have tried to hold the sleep button/volume down button at the same time and got nothing. Does anybody happen to know a fix? I tried getting apple support online but i cant get into my phone to find my serial number or to reset my apple ID password that I forgot. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
What’s happening to my albums?! Posted: 29 Aug 2019 07:53 AM PDT I have all my albums semi organized for my photos and sometimes when I move my new albums around on my phone or I need to switch some around I noticed that sometimes something like the first album will drop into the middle. Why would this be happening? I never remember doing those types of things and I don't like when it happens. This has been going on for months, but I thought I was doing it and didn't notice. After a few months I know it's not me or my family members. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2019 07:25 AM PDT Hey y'all! Ive got a new phone but I remembered my old one had some pics on it that were only on that. I would like to access it but ive had a problem with it as there is something wrong that doesnt let me start it up, stopping on that screen. The screen looks like: https://support.apple.com/library/content/dam/edam/applecare/images/en_US/itunes/ios12-iphone-x-restore-iphone-itunes.jpg I cannot get it to leave recovery mode no matter how much I try. It will not seem to download the new iTunes or leave recovery mode. Is there any way you guys know to access my iPhone 5s to get the pics on it that arent on iCloud. Cheers!!! [link] [comments] |
