    Replacing iPhone X battery at the Apple store?

    Hey guys! I've had my iPhone x for almost 2 years, and I'm wondering how many of you got your battery replaced that still have the phone?

    My iPhone X had to get replaced last January when they announced the $29 battery replacement. They replaced my whole phone as oppose to the battery since it was within warranty.. My iPhone X had a 92% battery capacity at the time, which is VERY low considering I didn't have the iPhone for that long!

    Now I am at 90% so I want to get it replaced soon.

    When they replace the battery, do they re-waterproof it?

    Need kilometer traveled app for my iphone.

    Hi all, sorry for asking the question here but I need an app which calculates distance traveled. Mostly I am using bike, this will help me to calculate the kilometers traveled and my allowances for that.

    Why are iPhone 7 Plus screenshots the wrong resolution ?

    The screen resolution, as specified on apple's website, should be 1920x1080. So why are my screenshots 1242x2208 ? Is my specific iPhone weird, is the website wrong, is there a tiny bit of upscaling ? What is going on !?

    iPhone battery health percentage decreasing very very fast

    So Ive had an iPhone XR since last December, and it's always had 100% battery health. In the last 2 weeks, it's gone down to 97% battery health. The only things that have happened are one heat warning and I've also started using a fast wireless charger every night.

    ELI5: Why does some of Apple's "Shot on iPhone" YouTube videos appear in 480p?

    For example this video has the max resolution of 480p. Why is that? Is it just the convenience for Apple, since it may take quicker to upload the video? Or do iPhones really render in 480p? I don't have an iPhone (sorry, I use Android but I'm upgrading to the new one this September), but couldn't these things shoot at 4k 60fps?

    Battery health IPhone Xs

    A Photo Feature id like to see unless it already does?

    Any graphics/pictures you download off a website or something like that where it goes in its own iPhone album so that way its easier to select and delete multiples from.

    Maybe this exists already? I doubt it. If it does great!

    Cant tell ya how many Memes i download and then they get intertwined with regular photos. Would be nice to be able to sort those out easier (like the way screenshots are handled) so they can be deleted.

    What’s the best lightning cable you ever had?

    Man i have had so many, i don't even mishandle them but they keep breaking after few months. I'm on my second anker powerline now which just stopped working like the anker i had right before this one, in two months. I mean i'm not exactly gentle with the cable, my wallplugs cables always last long, but i also have one that i have in my pocket with my phone whenever i work. Some cheaper models lasted longer than anker in that usage. What's the most durable lightning cable you have had? Btw apple's own cable may just have been the most durable one i have ever owned despite the hate it gets

    Iphone 7 A1660 No service

    My daughter's phone cannot connect to the network (verizon). We tired to reboot, re-set SIM card and other SIM card from a different phone. Nothing helps. She has iphone 7 A1660 model and I've been reading that this model have some board problems that Apple would fix for free. Is this program still active?

    I really hate how you can't go to the homescreen when receiving a call without pressing the decline button. In the age of endless robocalls, this is becoming increasingly annoying.

    Maybe I'm just dumb, but as far as I know, there's no way to go to the homescreen when receiving a call without pressing the Decline button.

    I receive about 1-5 robocalls a day, and a decent amount of them happen when I'm already using my phone. Problem with robocalls is, at least as far as I know, it's best to let them just ring out, so the scammer can't tell if it's an active line or not. As a result, I don't like to press Answer or Decline, and instead just let it ring. This leaves me with about 15 seconds of staring at some spoofed number while I wait for the call to ring out.

    Why can't we flick up from the bottom (iPhone X user) and go to the homescreen while receiving a call???

    I know this is trivial, but just wanted to vent as it just happened to me twice in the span of 10 minutes.

    19$ Apple Lightning to USB Cable

    Just ordered a Apple Lightning to USB Cable on Apple website, Just being curious. I expected a soft textured cable/cord like the one that came with your brand new iPhone. Sadly it is the same as my replacement cable its hard textured cable/cord. This cable has rough low standard texture which you can buy on a cheap store. It is very different when you compare it to the cable that came with your iPhone like my 5s before. Is this normal when you buy a different Lightning Cable that comes with the box or apple store?

    LPT: Buy this Verbatim Universal Charger instead of Apple Chargers!

    I have been doing a lot of research on chargers. For starters recent iPhones are capped @ 18W so it will charge at the same speed no matter if you use a 18W or 30W Charger. Therefore, I was hesitating between the small Apple 18W USB-C Charger and with the Anker Power PD that offers two ports: one USB-C port @18W and one USB-A port @12W.

    The 18W charger is small and convenient but it does not offer a USB-A port like the Anker one (so I cannot charge my Philips razor and my Babyliss beard trimmer that I charge using an USB-A cable that I bought on Ebay instead of the regular outlet charger that came in the box as I want to have as few cables as possible).

    The Anker one is perfect but is a little oversized and not easy to carry.

    I did some research and I think the best is to buy this Verbatim universal adapter that offers 4 USB-A ports @ 12W each as well as 1 USB-C port @ 18W. It is the same size as the Anker one but it also provides universal use as it's a travel adapter!!
