| Posted: 08 Aug 2019 10:45 PM PDT Earlier my iPhone 8 randomly shut off completely while I was trying to take some pictures, and when I turned it back on it said "Your iPhone cannot make and receive calls or access cellular data until it has been updated." I tried turning it off and on, removing the SIM card, attempting to update my phone with iTunes, resetting network settings, trying to update cellular through the about in settings and basically everything google told me to do, but I still have the "⚠️ No Service" in the top left corner. I'm not sure what else to do, if anyone knows of anything else I could try, any and all help is appreciated. I should note that I've only had my iPhone 8 for about three weeks. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 08 Aug 2019 10:19 PM PDT Hi y'all, So I was trying to delete some messages in an imessage conversation tonight and accidentally deleted the entire conversation. I haven't backed my phone up in about 2 years so restoring from an itunes backup isn't really an option and my messages weren't being saved to icloud. However, the other person in the conversation does have it all saved to icloud. Is there a way that he can share the backed up conversation with me, or is there another way I could recover the deleted conversation without a backup? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone X ringer volume is very low unless I hold the phone upside down?? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 08:37 PM PDT I have an X thats not 2 years old yet, if someone calls the ringer volume is very low. If I flip the phone vertically so the charging port points to the ceiling the ringer gets loud. Anyone know any reason why this would happen? Also my listen volume during calls is very low even with the volume all the way up. [link] [comments]  |

| iCloud out of sync between phone? Trying to "merge" the two Posted: 08 Aug 2019 04:06 PM PDT So the data on my iCloud account online is different than my iCloud data on my phone. Everything is different - photos, notes, calendar, etc. Nothing is the same. I'm not sure when/how things got out of sync, but I'm now trying to fix it without losing any data. That's the important part. I'm pretty confident I could restore proper syncing functionality, but I fear I will lose data either online or on my phone. I've verified I'm using the same account, so it's not a matter of using two different accounts. Does anyone have experience with this issue or a recommendation on merging everything? Proper backup techniques, etc.? It's mostly the Notes I'm worried about losing. Thanks [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 08 Aug 2019 09:35 AM PDT So my phone is in a real need to be replaced, and I'm getting a new one today in the mail. But I need to backup my phone since this one is 5 years old and I haven't done it since I got it. So I go to backup before it comes and it won't let me. I am gonna try to supply a picture through imgur but the top of the setting screen with your information is grayed out and I can't click on it. I don't know why but It won't let me log in to my mail acc also since it's also grayed out. It always tells me to log in to @gmail or @icloud but it won't let me. I'm trying to restore through itunes, but I can't get the phone to boot into recovery mode - Booting up with the home button held just disables the iPhone for 15 minutes. Any ideas? She logged on to her account on my iphone and I stepped away. Could she have enabled tracking on my device in her account since she was logged on to it and is now tracking me permanently? My sister has anorexia, and has been to the hospital for it multiple times. She just got out of rehab and has phone privileges again, but she has been trying to contact pro-ana on instagram. I need to monitor her instagram and internet activity so I stop this/give more information to her therapist. Basically, I'm looking for an app that I can install on her phone to to track her data. It doesn't need to be discreet or anything like that, and I'm not worried about the price. Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
