Logitech Crayon vs Adonit Note Posted: 08 Aug 2019 10:01 AM PDT In case you don't know, the Adonit Note is a new smart pencil for iPad that works similarly to the Logitech Crayon, but different shape and doesn't have tilt sensitivity. Does anyone know how much the tilt sensitivity would come in handy? I'd like to draw with it, but I am a very, very terrible artist so this would be very rudimentary doodles anyway. Is the tilt helpful for writing? Does the Crayon shape tire your hand over time? Thanks. [link] [comments]

Apple Trade-In on 10.5 iPad Pro Posted: 08 Aug 2019 01:16 PM PDT Any thoughts or experiences with trade in values before a potential new iPad announcement? I doubt they have trade in promos to wait for, but I also think the value of a now two year old iPad Pro will depreciate further as several new models have been introduced to replace it. The free Beats may also make it worthwhile now if I buy the 2018 pro at the same time vs waiting. $50 off isn't amazing but it's nice on top of the trade in value + free Beats. Thoughts or recommendations? [link] [comments]

Looking for a mic/speaker combo that connects to headphone jack Posted: 08 Aug 2019 12:48 PM PDT Hey everyone, while I think the iPad's built-in speakers are pretty good, I need to find a hardware solution that will amplify sound even louder when necessary. This is for a video conferencing situation, so a mic/speaker combination would be great. The kicker is I need it to be something that connects physically (no bluetooth) to the headphone jack, as I need to keep the lightning port free for a charger. Anyone have any leads or suggestions? Moshi Versacover for iPad Pro 11” Posted: 08 Aug 2019 12:40 PM PDT Hi everyone! I'm planning on getting an iPad for college and I was looking at cases and really ended up liking the Moshi Versacover for the 11" Pro. If anyone owns this case, how do you like it? How does it hold up over time? Are the origami-like flaps durable? That's my only concern over the case, otherwise it looks like a grand slam of a case, so I just wanted to get the opinions of people who already own one. Thanks in advanced! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2019 11:17 AM PDT Hey all, I am looking to pick up the Pro 3g. I saw a price of $550 for a refurb, you think I can get a new one at that price when 4g drops? [link] [comments]
Still no way to steam Family Shared content? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 06:25 AM PDT Just trying to make sure I'm not missing something. Is there still no way to STREAM iTunes purchases from another Family Sharing member? 99% of our household video purchases are under my Apple ID. Only way I can see to access that from another family member's device is to go into iTunes, select Purchases and select my account. It properly displays all of the owned content, but after selecting a movie or show, only presents options to download the content. Streaming does not appear to be possible. Any chance there's another way to do this that I'm missing? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2019 12:00 PM PDT I am looking to buy a tablet of some sort, maybe even a laptop/tablet combination. Recently I started thinking about buying an iPad, saw a lot of great art done on it. I would mainly use it for calligraphy and calligrams. So if something like that is possible to do on an iPad please let me know, or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The artwork I do can be seen on this link: http://imgur.com/gallery/escDX72 [link] [comments]
Is there any future for non-pro iPads? (non USB typ-C) Posted: 08 Aug 2019 11:35 AM PDT I got a cheap iPad gen 6 recently so I could make it onto iPad OS, but ngl I'm feeling a little abandoned finding out things like that I can only use the gen 1 pencil (which is fine I guess), and more importantly, that the lightning port is effectively useless aside from charging and earbuds, by which I mean that a lightning to USB type C cable won't let me use and external hard drive or USB type C keyboard (was going to get a nice mechanical one when I get paid). I've been told the new OS fixes some of this, and the software features should catch up (although face unlock would be nice), but exactly how limited will I end up being by still having a lightning port? It's capable of data transfer to at least some extent, but I'm unsure what is me being hardware gated, and what's just features not existing in software yet. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2019 11:27 AM PDT I am helping my nephew learn piano from afar.. he is using an amazing app called piano maestro. i'd like to be able to facetime with him sometimes when he's practicing. the problem is, i tested this out , and both facetime calls and google hangout calls keep the video call alive, but one cannot hear voice or piano app going on once the other person (here, my nephew) has left call active but switched to another app (in this case, piano maestro) - for me there would be no audio of anykind while he was practicing. i'm thinking maybe some meeting software could accomplish this end better.. zoom or some such.. i have a zoom account. thought i'd crowdsource it and ask ya'll if you have any experience with something like that that you discovered, perhaps on accident during a work meeting or whatever, that works in this way. thanks in advance! Posted: 08 Aug 2019 04:57 AM PDT So I recently got an iPad Air and Apple Pencil 1st gen, which I subsequently replaced due to abnormal battery drain. However, the replacement Apple Pencil seems to be stuck at 100% and will not drain. I was on the iPadOS beta so I restored to iOS 12.4 thinking that was the issue but I still have the same problem. Should I be worried or go in again to replace it? [link] [comments]
Keyboard shortcuts on magic keyboard while smart folio keyboard case is on Posted: 08 Aug 2019 01:34 AM PDT I just noticed a weird thing and not sure if it's a bug or a feature tbh :) So I have a smart keyboard folio attached and working, but at the office I started putting the ipad on the stand and have a magic keyboard 2 lying around that is connected to the ipad. 2 keyboards works fine but keyboard shortcuts like cmd tab, cmd h or cmd space only works from the folio keyboard and does nothing from the magic keyboard. They work couple of times after I first connect the bt keyboard and stop working. Can anyone who has the folio keyboard and a magic keyboard or any other bt keyboard test this for me ? I am running the latest public beta. [link] [comments]
iPad 11" Keyboard Folio protector? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 05:36 AM PDT I have a lot of stains on my iPad 11" keyboard folio protector. This is pretty much due to my setting it down on tables and wherever else, and I assume that this is a fairly common occurrence since the folio is supposed to protect the iPad. However, I would like to protect the folio itself because I don't want it to get damaged or stained. Is there any good protector (like a thicker plastic film or something of that sort) that is available to protect the folio? [link] [comments]

How much can I sell an iPad Pro for? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 10:47 AM PDT Note to mods: I'm not creating a "for sale" post, simply inquiring. I have a 2017 iPad Pro white/gold 64 gb. I'm pretty much excellent condition. Apple Pencil with nibs, charger, box. With a matte screen protector already on. Not too many charge cycles (maybe 25 at most?) I was thinking 660, because I see many 10.5's with 256 going for that price and I figured it's a good price for my iPad considering what I'm selling it with. (One idiot offered 400 for it). Thoughts? Is that a realistic price? [link] [comments]
