| Trying to delete a contact and it keeps showing up in my contacts saying “Siri found in messages”. Posted: 06 Aug 2019 06:36 PM PDT I'm trying to delete a contact from my iphone permanently. I've deleted all messages, voicemails, etc. from this person from my phone, but when I go to type their name into the search bar in my contacts, they show up again with their number. Underneath it says "Siri found in messages". I've shut off Siri suggestions, they still show up. I have no idea how to get siri to forget this number and get it off my phone. I have an iPhone 6S if that's any help. Can anybody help? TIA. [link] [comments]  |

As you can see in the picture it seems like it just turns the backlighting on. When this happensI have to force shutdown the computer. It does not respond to anything. I have them attached to my ipad all the time. I feel like when it's on sleep, it drains my battery life with the accessories connected. | How to Recover a Deleted Photo from iPhotos on Macbook Air Posted: 06 Aug 2019 10:37 PM PDT Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is possible and I am super upset but while I was deleting unwanted photos from iPhotos a photo of one of my cats was accidentally deleted. I'd like to know if it's possible to recover it and how? I was deleting photos and hit the delete button on my keyboard, which prompted the message, "Delete from all your devices? This photo will be deleted from iCloud Photo Library on all your devices." Since I stopped double clicking on the pictures (which would have enlarged the photo so I could see it was the wrong one), I didn't see that it was about to delete my cat's photo instead of the photo I had originally clicked on. After I clicked delete, the prompt then read, "Your iCloud storage is full, so this photo will be immediately deleted from all your devices. You will not be able to recover it from Recently Deleted." :'( The photo was never backed up to iCloud for some strange reason (there are photos that were taken waaay after that one that are located in iCloud). I tried using a recovery app such as 'EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard,' but the photo isn't located there either. HELP!! Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

| MBP 2012 crashed not starting up on SSD Posted: 06 Aug 2019 05:48 AM PDT Hello, Today I was browsing the web, suddenly the MBP was frozen the rainbow spinning wheel showed up i turned it off then on but it started on my HDD instead of my SSD which all my files are located. Now everytime i start its telling me it cannot open. I tried disk util but doesnt allow me to mount. Model: macbook pro 13 inch mid 2012 2,9ghz intel core i7 8gb ram running on mac os high sierra on ssd it was mojave. | Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:12 PM PDT Could someone please help me please? My iPad is on Activation Lock and I don't know the Apple ID password. It was my Step Mom's iPad and she gave it to me a few years ago. I was able to put my Apple ID information on it with iTunes and iMessage and it worked perfectly fine. Then one day I turned it off and it died and when it turned back on it had the Activation Lock was on. If if my Step Mom if she knows the password and she doesn't. How could I take this off? His work around is that he carries a USB powered external display splitter, connects that to the HDMI and a power bank, and THEN he is able to use the macbook display, is there any fix for this (software or hardware fix)Thank You [link] [comments]  |
| Removing my iPhone from "find my iPhone" didn't work... Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:03 PM PDT I have an iPhone 6s. I jumped into the pool with it. I have insurance, and am in the process of trying to get verizon to send me a new iPhone 6s, but first I need to turn off "find my iPhone" for the device. I went onto icloud and selected my phone, then pressed "remove this device." I thought I was good, but verizon is saying that "find my iPhone" is still turned on, so they won't send me a new phone. The iPhone is now not on the list of devices in "find my iPhone," so I don't know how I can make it any more removed. It is not the only device on the account. Do I need to disable it for them too? Do I need to call apple and be forced to wait on hold for 26 minutes before some know it all tells me to do the same shit I already did? I'm hoping you guys can help me and I won't have to do that. | 2013 macbook pro booting in recovery mode. Posted: 06 Aug 2019 06:20 PM PDT OS is Mojave. My dad's laptop is booting up in recovery mode. He facetimed me so I could help because he's at work at the moment. Reinstall OS does not work, it says the disk drive is locked. We ran first aid and everything was normal. | home button sensitivity adjusting itself Posted: 06 Aug 2019 06:03 PM PDT earlier today i was using my phone and i clicked the home button and the sensitivity was way off. it was like how it would feel if you touched the home button with your phone being powered off (if that makes any sense) i restarted my phone a few times and it was back to normal but shortly would start doing it again and now it seems like the sensitivity is somehow adjusting itself? everything seems to be working fine it's just very weird and i'm not used to the sensitivity so i don't like it too much lol. i even went into the settings to make sure it was on the correct setting and it was. any thoughts on why it could be happening? thank you! I have googled the normal fixes - set mission control dashboard to "As Space", restarted dock. None of my gestures (3 fingers up/down), hot corner, or even keyboard shortcut bring up mission control. | Photos been deleted from my old iphone ( i need solution ) Posted: 06 Aug 2019 05:26 PM PDT I'm using my iCloud account on my both iPhones 6 and XR . but i had different photos in each phone so i wanted to move the photos from iphone 6 to iphone XR . i did turn off icloud photos on my iphone 6 , then all the photos from my XR been copied to my iphone 6 , and the photos that was supposed to be in the XR has been deleted or gone i dont know what happened to those photos, so basically i want to return these photos again , i have been looking for it and i can't find it i tried to access icloud on my pc but all i can find is the photos thats in my iphone XR. i wish that i explained my problem clearly :/ [link] [comments]  |
| Macbook Pro (2018) display partly glitches & TrueTone glitch? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 12:06 PM PDT Hi all, Almost a month ago I went to the Apple store to get the display on my Macbook Pro 13 inch 2018 replaced (another issue). They replaced the display for free but about a week ago I noticed that sometimes a part of the display randomly glitches (inverted colours). It is a horizontal line in the lower part of the display (about 1,5cm thick). Also, True Tone sometimes glitches from cool to warm (and vice versa) and then gradually back. Does anyone know what's the cause of this? And do I have warranty on the display replacement? (The Macbook is currently out of the 1 year warranty btw) I have already tried resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 06 Aug 2019 03:13 PM PDT Hi all! A few days ago, one friend gave me an old late 2009 imac with a brand new Kingston 64 gb ssd without any installation or recovery partition. I am a windows user and I made a bootable ssd with GUID partition table with MacOS Sierra to Install it in the imac. The case is that I can't boot to the usb, I tried pressing Option key when booting but in the screen just appears the mouse and anything else. I also tried to reset the NVRAM, PRAM and SMC without success. The case is that any of the 15 startup key combinations allows me to boot from the usb or the netboot option in order to install any MacOS system to use... I will appreciate your help!
