    I'm thinking of getting a new iMac, but I really love my current ASUS display. I know I can run two monitors, but don't really want to. However, a matte look would be great.

    Are there any decent matte screen films for iMac that won't mess with color or make the image blurry? I do a lot of photo editing, so I need the display to remain accurate. I'm just trying to cut down on reflection.

    is it possible to unlock or backup my iphone 6 (ios 12) with a broken LCD? it also says "unlock to use siri/ accessories)

    digitizer/ touch is broken. Screen still shows stuff, but I can't login to my shit to access photos or anything. I can't use a keyboard because it says "unlock to use siri/ accessories". Is replacing the digitizer/ screen the only option?? I only need one super recent pic :( and my new 7 plus is on its way too

    iCloud help

    Hey everyone,

    I am a current owner of multiple Apple devices of which I keep regular backups of on iCloud.

    Unfortunately, yesterday, I mistakenly deleted some photos, on one device that I, now wish to retrieve back. With iCloud Photos, I now realize that the photos were not stored locally, but rather on the cloud, which means that the photos I deleted on one device, cannot be accessed on my other devices. (Photos were deleted from "Recently Deleted" as well).

    I called Apple, and we tried to restore from an iCloud backup of an iPhone, tried finding the photo in the "Photos" section of "iCloud.com", tried going to the advanced settings on "iCloud.com" to recover the lost files, but have yet to find a solution that helped me bring the photos back.

    Is there any way I can retrieve my photos?

    Help Transferring Home Videos to Apple Iphone from Windows 10 PC

    1. I can't afford a Mac right now, but when this PC dies, I will be buying one (justified purchase).
    2. I have already been trying for hours to make this happen.
    3. May be helpful to know:
    • I've already added the Videos to my iTunes Library on the PC, and then hit "Sync" with iPhone.
    • All videos are .mp4 format
    • I have the videos organized on the PC into folders which ideally would be the "album" names or "TV show title" on the iPhone.

    The end result of my endeavors is that I ended up with several duplicate copies of the home videos under "Home Videos" in my iTunes folder on the PC. That is not a title that I created in Itunes. Somehow Itunes could tell they were personally owned videos and added them under that line item in the Library. They are no longer organized at all, just able to sort alphabetically, etc. Additionally, they are not accessible on my iPhone at all via any app that I have. Either they did not transfer via sync, or they are only accessible with an iPhone App that I do not currently have.

    Ideally, I was hoping to be able to have the videos organized as "albums" or "playlists" on the iPhone similar to how I already use Apple Music to play albums or my personally created playlists. I read somewhere that people are watching music videos on Apple Music and creating playlists. Perhaps there is a better app for this from the Apple App Store?

    TL;DR: My desire is to take the .mp4 movie files that I have on my PC and transfer them to my iPhone where I can have them in an organized fashion for playback.

    How can I fix being unable to download previous purchases?

    On a PC using itunes which is up to date.

    There are several songs that, when I go into the purchased section and select "not in my library" show up as not being on but have no option to download them. Clicking on the album title to go to the itunes page for it even shows that particular song as purchased. Oddly, when going into album view rather than song view it also shows the wrong albums.

    I've tried deleting songs and restarting my computer and have also gone onto another computer that had one of these songs downloaded already, deleted it from my library and found it to have the same problem. This song is Bad Day by Daniel Powter on his self titled album

    I don’t know what the heck just happened to my MacBook Pro

    So I was sitting here minding my own business and my Mac decided to just shut off for no reason, so I'm like ok that's weird. I boot it back up and now there's this water damage spot on the screen and somehow it completely just wiped itself like everything I had on here is gone. Now it is saying after I booted that there's a critical update I need and the WiFi is not working.

    So I think I'm honestly just shit out of luck, any ideas

    Third party USBC to headphone jack dongle not working on ipad pro. Flight is tomorrow morning so help would be appreciated.

    So I bought my ipad pro just last week and I have a flight tomorrow morning and needed a dongle for my bose qc25. I wanted the dongle as soon as possible so I went to the nearest store and bought a third party one. Everything plugs in but the audio comes out of my ipad instead of to the headphones. The ipad is running 12.4. Does anyone have any similar experiences / know a solution? My flight is tomorrow so Im really hoping to have this setup working. Thanks

    I don't have a screenshot, but it said that my phone is infected with 15 viruses and if immediate action isn't taken, will damage my phone and sim.

    Please help- clicked don’t trust by accident

    Hi all, i just got a new iPhone and was about to back up my data from my previous phone when I accidentally clicked "don't trust." I read that you can fix this by resetting warnings on iTunes, but whenever I click "reset warnings" nothing happens. Nothing even asks me to confirm or anything and surely enough, when I plug my iPhone back in it's says I don't have permission. I am so bad with technology and am so upset and worried I won't be able to back up my phone. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks so much in advance for any help

    iPhone ringer flashing on and off

    I have an iPhone SE on iOS 11.2.2 and the ringer graphic will continuously flash between silent and on randomly, and it goes back and forth quicker than I can get a screenshot. This will happen even if I'm not touching my phone, just as long as the phone is on. Is there a way to fix this or is my phone just getting old?

    IOS ans SMS not sending for one person in contacts.

    So both my friend and I's iPhones are fully updated. She can call and text me, but I cannot text her. It does not say "not delivered". It just pops up other no message at all. I have tried messaging through both iMessage and SMS and neither are giving the small delivered text under where the message is. I know I am not blocked because we have talked over Instagram and we have tried to figure it out. Neither of us have blocked each other, and we have both restarted our phones many times. She can text, call, and FaceTime me. I can accept the calls but not the FaceTime. Please, somebody, help. :/

    Etrecheck - /etc/hosts - Count: 0 - Corrupt! Macbook Pro 2011

    Hey guys,

    Just doing some cleaning up on my 2011 MBP, ran an etrecheck and it came back with this as one of the minor issues:

    Configuration Files:

    /etc/hosts - Count: 0 - Corrupt!

    When I go to the location I have two host files one is "hosts" and the other is "hosts~orig". The "hosts~orig" contains what I'm assuming should be in the "hosts" text file which is:

    ##
    ##
    # Host Database
    #
    # localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
    # when the system is booting. Do not change this entry." etc...

    The "hosts" file contains lists that I've added to be used with Gasmask to blacklist websites.

    Do I need to change anything here or is it ok the way it is?

    How can I share Apple News Plus (and only that)?

    I know you can share your subscription to Apple News Plus. I would like to share my subscription with my dad through Family Sharing, but I only want to share that (not Music, etc). How do I do this? Is there another way other than iCloud Family Sharing?

    Hello! My MacBook Air will not hold any charge. The battery icon in the task bar will not appear even after enabling it in settings and then says that it has zero charge. If I unplug the charger then it just shuts off. After reconnecting it the fan will start going a million miles an hour. I have tried multiple SMC restarts and it will not work. Please help!

    I apologize if this is the wrong sub since I don't have any technical issues.

    I'm wondering how much I can sell my iPhone XS MAX for? It's 256GB, black, and in really good condition (no scratches or cracks whatsoever). However, I don't have the box anymore. How much could I reasonably get and what would be the best way to go about selling it?
