| Posted: 07 Aug 2019 10:02 PM PDT I have an iPad Pro 9.7 I bought about two years ago as a refurb. It has had no problems until today. I plugged it in to charge it charged a bit up to 74 percent then stopped and said not charging next to the battery symbol. I plugged it in for another hour or so came back it was up to 94 percent, but was saying not charging again. I checked online, tried cleaning the port, switching cables, restarting it and updating it, and plugging it into different socket. After the update I plugged it in ( it was at 90 ) and it charged up to 92 then switched to not charging again. Is it possible that the adapter itself is bust or is the iPad probably toast? My Optical Drive crapped out on me a few years ago, and I thought replacing it with an SSD could help me accomplish my goal (in addition to clearing the whole HDD and starting with a clean copy of the OS). | iPhone charging/aux port not working. Posted: 07 Aug 2019 09:02 PM PDT Hey guys, I have an iPhone 7 and over the past couple of days, the port will only charge/play music from aux or headphones, if I push the cord down hard into the port (as if something's blocking it). As soon as I move my phone it will stop charging/playing, nothing seems to be blocking it and it's not the charger/aux adapter as I bought new ones.... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. | Apple Music on iPhone messes up my downloaded library sync by iTunes Posted: 07 Aug 2019 04:33 PM PDT I don't know if anyone else has this bug but apple music doesn't play nicely with my downloaded music stored on my Mac via iTunes. Some issues include songs ending abruptly like 30 seconds earlier than they are supposed to. Songs not playing after the previous one ended. | Installing Java using Homebrew or Oracle installer Posted: 07 Aug 2019 03:57 PM PDT I'm trying to understand the difference between installing Java on MacOS using the Oracle installer versus using homebrew. Is there a benefit for one or the other? Do I need homebrew at all or can everything be installed using installers? This might be a very basic question. My wife and I have shared iCloud storage but each have our own Apple ID we use for our phones. We'd like to have one big library of photos. I really want the iPhone 7 Plus, due to its size and the double camera, but I'm afraid Apple can just cancel the supports to him, just like iPhone 5. Do you guys think this is gonna happen soon or is it safe to buy it nowadays? I was also thinking about the Plus 8, but it's way to expensive on where I live. | Posted: 07 Aug 2019 01:09 PM PDT Hi, I recently switched phone providers and phones. Switched from Telus while using an iPhone to Rogers using an android. I cleared the iPhone and then transferred my number to the Rogers SIM and put it into the android. Now people who were using iMessage can't message.me because my number is registered with iMessage. I used my sim card and put it in the iPhone and disabled the iMessage and FaceTime and I entered my number in the apple database to deactivate my number and it said it wasn't a number with iPhones which it isn't anymore since I have the android and with Rogers. I'm still not getting messages....what should my next step be? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 07 Aug 2019 04:28 PM PDT so, my technically oblivious mother who couldn't even figure out how to use the OLD ipad decided to order herself a cheaper ipad for whatever reason. the ipad sucks but its not a knockoff, its still an apple product. anyway, whenever she tries to download Netflix, it says, "this app is incompatible with this device". Netflix isn't the only app having this issue. theres no option to update the ipad in the settings and she already signed up for the account. is there any way I can find a way for her to watch Netflix on her ipad? | Somehow my left Shift key has turned into a Control key Posted: 07 Aug 2019 04:24 PM PDT Very confused. The left Shift button on my 2010 Macbook Pro no longer works as a Shift button but now operates as a Control button. I have no clue how this happened. The button clearly works as it can do everything the Control button can. I tried a PRAM reset and SMC reset and neither worked. Please, any help here is appreciated as I am going crazy. Thank you! | iPad Pro 11 inch model not powering on Posted: 07 Aug 2019 04:02 PM PDT Hi, recently I purchased an iPad Pro described in the title less than 3 weeks ago. Everything has been going well and I was enjoying it very much. I recently joined the beta program and had iPad OS 13 public beta 4 installed on it and this morning when I tried to use it I noticed the screen wouldn't turn on. I don't remember how low the battery was the last time I used it but I'm pretty sure it was overdue for a charge anyways so I figure the battery is dead and throw it on the charge. About an hour later I realize that it hasn't been charging and the screen still shows no life. I tried hard resetting by doing the volume button sequence and holding the sleep button but nothing appears on the screen. Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem? I'm thinking it might have something to do with the beta iOS but this still seems strange for a brand new device. Has anyone experienced anything similar on the beta software? Would really like ago save a trip to the Apple store so if anyone could assist I'd greatly appreciate it [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 07 Aug 2019 03:57 PM PDT I gave my boyfriend my old iPhone to use as his work phone. He signed into that phone with his same iCloud account and downloaded everything from his personal phone onto the work phone. Then he realized there was no need for 2000 pictures on his work phone so he deleted them from that phone. Today, he realized they were deleted from both phones. He's already deleted them from the "recently deleted" album. We took the phone to the Apple store to see if there was anything that could be done. She had him sign into his iCloud account on one of the computers and saw that there were zero pictures on the backup. His phone automatically backs up so a new backup happened after he had erased all of the pictures. My question is does anyone know of a way to possibly get the pictures back. Does anyone know of any apps or programs that could possibly get them back? [link] [comments]  |
