| [Mojave 10.14.6 Update] Bluetooth devices stopped pairing Posted: 31 Jul 2019 02:15 AM PDT Anyone experiencing this issue after the update? Especially someone who's using Logitech products?? -- I've been using previous version of macOS 10.14.5 for more than a month, and it's been fine with these 3rd party bluetooth mouse/keyboard for 3 years, almost everyday on the same machine. Now, sometime after the update to the version 10.14.6, it stopped connecting/pairing. Probably it's immediately after the OS update, or the update of Logitech's software which was asking for update before OS updates, but I don't remember (damn). All sorts of resets didn't work: Bluetooth module, Bluetooth connected device, VRAM, and I even uninstalled the application for mouse (Logitech Options, which I will mention later), and it still won't change a thing even after complete reboots. Mouse (Logitech) shows up on the device list to be paired, but the keyboard (not Logitech) won't even show up. Then that mouse won't be connected like this: https://imgur.com/tSH7wPy. It just flickers in between "Connected" and "Not Connected", but ultimately it just gives up pairing. And even turning on/off the Bluetooth doesn't seem to work properly. (Though AirDrop works, so I suppose Bluetooth module itself is working properly?) -- This issue in the official discussion thread had the exact same situation and except it's with Logitech keyboard, which uses the same software called Logitech Options (current version 7.14.77 does say it supports "Mac OS X 10.14.x"). Like I said, that thing asked for updating right before the OS update, but I did it after the OS update is finished. Dumb thing is that I don't remember if I could use those devices right after the OS update.. Anyhow, I ditched the software with the official uninstaller, but it didn't change a thing. Neither reinstallation, except it now and somehow even mouse won't show up. Here's specs:
-- I've sent bug report to Apple but I figured that I'm in rare case as It's already been a week since the update became available and I could find only one guy in Apple forum reporting this. Probably it has nothing to do with this version of OS, or this is the bug that Logitech's app is causing, but I doubt it. Any idea anyone?? | Downgrading from Catalina and using Copy Carbon Cloner? Posted: 31 Jul 2019 12:46 AM PDT I've read a lot of articles on how to downgrade from Catalina to Mojave but I'm still a little confused. I downloaded the beta when it was first released without knowing my school's exam software wouldn't work with it. I made a mistake and didn't back up my MBP before upgrading to Catalina. So I was thinking of using Carbon Copy Cloner to transfer all my files to an external drive. Then erase the main drive and reinstall Mojave on it. But would CCC work from a clone of Catalina to Mojave? Does it only take files and stuff and not copy the OS? [link] [comments]  | ||

I have it setup so that everything that is in Nextcloud is also on my MacBook. My question is it possible to set a folder in photos so it searches through the folder and imports all pictures without copying them to a new location. I don't want to copy the entire library of pictures to a new folder. I would rather have photos access my Nextcloud folder and use all of my pictures in there. Does anyone have done that before? I need to be able to have health or apple health directly on my Mac. I know the official forums says "no" but I figured someone in here must know how to use.. an image? some kind of virtual emulator? or a web browser extension to make it seem like I am using an iPhone. It has to be legit and spyware free, and I imagine since its a fix, it should be free. I don't mind simple ads in the sidebar or whatever. | Problem: Screen flickering in multiple applications Posted: 30 Jul 2019 10:59 AM PDT I recently got a new MacbookPro 15 inch 2019. It has the Radeon 555X and the notebook itself works really well. However I recently discovered several screen flickering cases that I can always reproduce. For example in VSCode when I switch a file tab very fast, the screen always flickers (sometimes even yellow Lol). I also had this behavior in Chrome but it never happened again and I would not know how to reproduce it. In many cases people just write "disable hardware acc. in all the apps where it happens". I know that this could (or will) help. But guys, is this just a bunch of software bugs or flaws in the UI framework that is used on top of macOS? Is there an open topic (also on apple's side) for such a thing? Can I somehow test if it is a hardware issue? I still have warranty right now so I could get a new one if the GPU has an issue. | Recent Mojave Update changes my doc icons? pdfs preview pdfs now Posted: 30 Jul 2019 10:51 AM PDT Mojave update to 10.14.5 seems to have changed my finder doc icons so that pdf files show a preview of the doc instead of the pdf icon. I want the pdf icon back!!! the little previews are so damn tiny i can't tell what it is anyways and now i cant see much of a difference between images and docs and pdfs. It's driving me batty. | macOS 10.14.6 after wakeup IPV6 is not working until wifi is turned off and on manually Posted: 30 Jul 2019 06:25 AM PDT As the title says, after latest upgrade my Macbook pro retina 13, 2015, doesn't automatically use IPv6 after wake-up. The Router is a TP-Link Archer C7 running as access point only, and connected to Deutsche Telekom Speedport router. It used to work perfectly before. The deutsche telekom router changes addresses every night based on the security policy set and gives a new /64 from /56 or get a new /56 not sure entirely. It also changes IPv4 every night. Now in the morning, I connect only to IPv4 google, youtube or facebook until I disconnect and reconnect again, presumably getting new IP and the old IP route is discarded. I check this using IPVFoo chrome extension and as soon as reconnect the youtube video stream changes to IPv6. [link] [comments]  |
