Is it safe to hand over a signed in iPhone for repair?

    Posted: 31 Jul 2019 12:05 AM PDT

My iPhone 7 is out of warranty and is having speaker/mic problems along with quick battery discharge. The guy at the store(not apple) insisted in leaving the phone along with my iCloud is signed in for him to check. Is it safe to do so?

    Shortcut button?

    Posted: 31 Jul 2019 06:29 AM PDT

My boyfriend just got the s10 and it gives him the option to pick an app to open from clicking a button on the side of his phone. I was contemplating going android but couldn't do it. However I am very jealous of this function on the s10. Do the newer iPhones have an option to change a setting like this and I'm just oblivious? (Wishful thinking.. 🤞).

Does low power mode lower cpu usage?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2019 08:35 PM PDT

I read online that using low power mode slows down cpu/gpu usage and makes things slower, is that true?

Touching top of the screen scroll

    Posted: 31 Jul 2019 02:57 AM PDT

I came to iPhone after a couple of years on Android and came to find something really annoying. Every time I need to hit the back button at the top of the screen (on iMessage for one, but it happens on WhatsApp and many other apps), it'll roll all the way up all of the apps content + conversations, etc. I know that's what happens when you touch the top of the screen, it'll just roll all the way up for an easy access to the top of the screen, but is there a way to turn that off?

It's absolutely annoying every time I hit the back button - all I want is to go to the previous screen and not have my pages long conversation roll up to the beginning. 😂😂

Thanks in advance if anyone knows a work around to that! 🙏🏻

Shortcut to save looked-up words in the dictionary?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2019 11:48 PM PDT

    Hi all,

Is there a way to quickly save / bookmark words that I looked up in the dictionary?

So far, I add them to Notes but it's not the most convenient / efficient way in my opinion.

    Thanks!

    safe ringtone apps?

The App Store doesn't seem to have the best selection of ringtones. Are there any safe third party apps someone can recommend? Thanks!

    iPhone X reported stolen

    Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:42 PM PDT

So I lost my iPhone X, reported it stolen to ATT and police.. new one is on the way. If the police were to find my old one for some odd reason, most likely not going to happen, could I then still use it and have 2 working iPhones?

I just dropped my SE face down in gravel.

    Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:53 AM PDT

I thought for sure the screen would be in 3851 pieces, but it didn't take a scratch. Either I'm super lucky, or SEs are the "new" 3310s.

Managing saved Wi-Fi networks in iOS?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2019 12:36 PM PDT

I'm a recent Android to iPhone convert. One thing I really miss is the ability to manage my saved Wi_Fi networks! It looks like in iOS, you actually have to be connected to a Wi-Fi network to edit and/or forget the network? I connect to a lot of Wi-Fi networks, not all of which I want to re-connect to again at a later date but unless I remember to forget the network while connected to it, I'm out of luck. There's no way to manually forget the network later on without re-connecting to the network. I'm a little paranoid now about leaving Wi-Fi enabled on my phone because I can't see my iPhone's list of saved Wi-Fi networks, let alone edit them. Is there an app that will show me a list of saved Wi-Fi networks? Hopefully Apple will add this functionality soon!

Didn’t realize my app downloads can be this much. Probably why Apple limited the ones you could download until now. 13.5 gb in updates and my cycle isn’t even over
