Reminder: Don’t give 1 Star reviews just because your phone cannot handle a game/app Posted: 02 Jul 2019 02:27 PM PDT I see far too many of these, mostly with iPhone 6. Most new mobiles games are running off engines that demand stronger processors, which means older phones won't be able to handle them. I do understand the frustration with not being able to play a game(s) that won't work on an older model of a phone. But don't ruin the developer ratings because of that. [link] [comments]

Help finding a similar game- land grabbers Posted: 03 Jul 2019 06:14 AM PDT Landgrabbers was once my favorite game. It hasn't been updated and is gone from the App Store. Any ideas? TIA [link] [comments]
Is Crypt of the Necrodancer worth it? Posted: 03 Jul 2019 08:01 AM PDT I read several reviews that it is actually for only a certain type of player. I like the 32 bit rogue-like aesthetic and the music is amazing in its genre, I watched gameplays of it, but I don't know that I will like the gameplay or not. So, should I get it or not? iOS 13 and the turning off of controllers. Posted: 03 Jul 2019 09:35 AM PDT I had a quick search to no avail. My apologies etc... I love that we can now use Xbox (and PS) controllers. It's a complete game changer. So much so that I've bought an extra one just for iOS but I've realised that there's no way to turn off the controller. When I shut down my Xbox it tells it's controllers to turn off as well. Do I have to take out the battery for the one I use for iOS? It's been a good hour now. Even if so it's a minor moan; I love being able to use use the controller that I'm used to on iOS. I was using a gamevice but there's an investment I wish I'd never made. The quality of construction and value for money are different like night and day. My thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Any good class based party rpgs? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 08:23 PM PDT I've been playing Shop Titans (shop owner sim) and there's a component where you hire little characters and choose their class and send them on missions. The art style and battle animation makes me think of PC games like King's Quest and Dungeon Defenders, and I was wondering if there are any iOS games that have something similar. I don't have much time for my desktop these days so it would be nice. To be more specific I guess I'm looking for something with: Turn based combat, preferably with a 3+ character party Class system with at least some variance like Shop Titans: rogue class has 4 classes (not subclasses) that have high evasion, crit chance, etc while the warrior class has a tank, berserker, things like that. Gearing/looting/progression of some sort (the good stuff) Anything like that would be appreciated. Thanks folks [link] [comments]
I’ve finished DATA Wing and i need more recommendations Posted: 02 Jul 2019 08:18 PM PDT I've recently bought a iPad pro 12.9 and searched the app store for some games but nothing really caught my eye, so i started searching reddit. Found Data Wing thanks to this sub, and it's a absolutely fantastic experience. I'm in a gaming transition probably because of age and less freetime, so memorable experiences like Data Wing are exactly what i'm looking for. Any recommendations? [link] [comments]
Archero - any tips from the veterans here? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 03:55 PM PDT Just started playing it after the recommendations here. Heckuva game. If you, my fellow reader, haven't played it yet - do yourself a favor and download it now. Everything is great about it so far - controls, replay value, graphics, etc. For you Archero veterans out there. What tips can you share? If you were to tell someone not to spend scrolls on x, or to wait for the best spirit which is y, or to not bother upgrading z... what would you say? [link] [comments]

Can anyone confirm if BTD6 and Dungeon Warfare 2 are optimised for iPad Pro 11” screen? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 01:44 PM PDT Looking to get these 2 games, but just want to make sure they don't have black borders (i.e are full screen) on the 2018 11" iPad Pro [link] [comments]
Why are there so little 120fps games on iOS? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 01:18 PM PDT It really annoys me that after three iterations of the iPad Pro being out there are only a handful of games that support its full refresh rate. Now I'm no game programmer, but how hard could it be to add an option to increase the framerate cap on an app, even if it does cater to a few specific devices. Doing so makes sense, since there are virtually no games on the App Store that can utilise the A12x chip, so might as well use that power to dish out a high frame rate. Something else that grinds my gears is that with the release of the Razer phone, many apps on the play store were updated to support its 120hz display, apps who's equivalent on the App Store (I'm looking at you Minecraft) can't run at 120fps. And it's not just updates. New apps that come out should just have a 120hz option as a standard. Recent games that I was looking forward to like the elder scrolls blades are FPS capped too. What do you guys think? Should Apple be pushy with devs to utilise the iPad Pro screen's fully? And does anyone know why devs don't want me to play all my games in buttery smooth 120fps?
