iPhone XS difficulty retrieving old podcasts Posted: 13 May 2019 06:23 PM PDT Hello! I just bought the iPhone XS today, and I am trying to sync some old podcasts to it. The podcasts are 8 years old and no longer in the podcast "store," but they are on my MacBook and they are in my cloud account. Anytime I go to play the podcasts, a little box opens up that says "episode unavailable. This episode has been removed." The radio show these podcasts are from hasn't been around since 2014, and this is the 5th or 6th iPhone I've owned, and I've never had this issue. They've always synced thanks to the cloud. I don't understand why my iPhone won't play or download my podcasts. Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you! [link] [comments] |
How do you sync on command iCloud and photos on phone Posted: 13 May 2019 09:36 AM PDT They are syncing, but it's like a week or more late. I'd really like to view my pics on my computer, but iCloud is not updated, although it says it is "updated" after I open and close and open it. I can't seem to get it to refresh on command. Please help! Many thanks! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 May 2019 11:53 AM PDT Hello all! New iPhone user here. Recently I received an e-mail saying "You have less than 25% of your free 5 GB of iCloud storage left." At first I thought it was spam but this was a real e-mail. I went to my Settings -> iCloud and it does state that I have used 4.1 GB of 5 GB. When I click Manage Storage I see that Backups takes 4.1 GB. When I click on Backups it says Documents & Data takes up 4.1 GB. When I click on XXXX's iPhone it gives me this breakdown: **Last Backup - Yesterday **Backup Size - 4.44 GB **Next Backup Size - 82.7 MB *This is where I get confused. Since all my photos are backed up to Google Photos what is part of this huge backup? The 'CHOOSE DATA TO BACK UP" list is a bunch of things with very small amounts [3.5 MB largest to 500 k]. can someone please explain to me what is in the large back up and if there are way for me to lower it and ways to manage this without paying extra for iCloud? Applying the same notification settings to all apps? Posted: 13 May 2019 11:45 AM PDT How can I apply lock screen, Notification Center, banners, sounds, badges and have it persistent for every app? I don't want to change settings for every app. [link] [comments] |
Not able to add notes to some events using Google Calendar on my 5s, why? Posted: 13 May 2019 06:44 AM PDT For some events that are from my secondary Google Account, I am not able to add notes to them. I am not the owner of those events but I was invited to participate. I can, however, add notes using Google Calendar on my laptop. Any ideas why that could be and how I can fix this to be able to add notes from my iPhone? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Replaced iPhone 8 screen, having other issues Posted: 13 May 2019 05:22 AM PDT Feel free to remove this post if this isnt the right place for it, wasnt sure where to post it. And thanks for any help that can be provided! A rather heavy item fell on my iphone at work the other night and it destroyed the front glass, although it was still useable, and made a rather big crack on the back glass as well. I was kinda freaking out about it so the next day i had the front screen replaced by a thrid party. The screen works but it has issues now like randomly inserting spaces into words while im texting, having to very slowly and deliberately press the numbers while inserting my passcode for them all to register, and overall just seemingly not being as responsive as it was before. I will add that even before the replacement screen was put on it still worked perfectly with the busted front screen. But now for my actual question, i do have the verizon total mobile protection, i just didnt think about it before i had the third party do the work. If i sent my phone in would they still replace it and nothing be said about it? Or is there anything that i can do to maybe help the responsiveness of the screen? [link] [comments] |
