    iOS 13 Reminders

    I mostly use my phone for scheduling and memory replacement. Reminders, Calendar, and Notes are my most used apps. While everyone else is excited for dark mode, I'm most interested in the upcoming changes to Reminders. I'm hoping they don't break it in a way that makes me change the way I use it. The Bloomberg article that I'm sure everyone has read by now says the focus will be on a redesigned layout to give more of a to-do list functionality. I don't need that much organization for the way I use Reminders, but wouldn't mind if it looked like GoodTask.

    I would like to see some additional features added:

    • Hourly repeat option.
    • End repeat after number of occurrences instead of a date only option.
    • Allow a combination of date + location triggers so I can get reminded to do something every Thursday after I leave work for example, instead of every Thursday whether I'm at work or not or every time I leave work whether it's Thursday or not.
    • More snooze options. The default 1 hour or tomorrow on iOS are not enough. The additional 5 min on MacOS is to soon. I'd like a 15 minute option and the option to set a custom snooze. They should take this opportunity to make the snooze options consistent on iOS and MacOS.
    • Reminders should integrate with the Calendar. They are already together in the Up Next widget. Surely this was an oversight on someone's part. I currently use Fantastical for calendar + reminder integration.

    An updated Reminders app that better competes with the several to-do list programs available on the App Store. The new app has a main screen with four default sections laid out in a grid: tasks to be done today, all tasks, scheduled tasks, and flagged tasks. Each section has its own different-colored page that users can add items to.

    I use multiple lists in Reminders including a grocery list, a never ending and always growing home maintenance list, and a variety of others that I absolutely do not need to see all the time in an "all tasks" list. Hopefully there will be an option to exclude certain lists.

    The current app already has a scheduled tasks list that is divided into Today, Tomorrow, then by day after that.

    I don't use the current priority feature (I guess this would be similar to flagged?), but I could see where you might want a dedicated view for those. When I used to use Wunderlist, any item that you starred had an indicator and jumped to the top of the list regardless of due date.

    Point Tracking App

    My family is doing a large vacation together at the end of the month and to make it more fun, we're splitting into teams to see who can get the most points for doing the various activities (chores, scavenger hunt, dance battle, etc). I'm looking for an app that can do several things: track points per person and as a team (so we can see which team member earned what), add photos when completing an activity as proof or just for the memories, and allow us to send messages or something. Ideally as well, we wanted to have some kind of leader board connected through Chromecast or something on our main TV in the cabin's living room. Point tracking and leader board are the biggest two. Any other cool or fun features would be a bonus. Thanks for the help!

    Best txt editor?

    I have read a lot of great reviews of Textor (e.g. https://www.macstories.net/reviews/textor-the-ios-equivalent-of-textedit-integrated-with-files/), a simple txt editor with Files integration. But now it's removed from the App Store. I still have it on my phone, but this means it won't get any updates or fixes.

    What does people recommend for a txt editor nowadays? I don't mind paying if it means a better product.

    Iphone 8 unusual bootloop

    Iphone 8 stuck on bootloop after update. After update phone shut off randomly like 3 hours after update and began to bootloop worked on it once and managed to get to start screen but bootlooped again when i tried to back up with icloud. Tried everything recovery mode restore, Dfu mode restore, and even opening it and disconnecting and reconnecting battery. please help

    I was lucky enough to download tubextreme while it was available in the App Store, primarily to skip ads in videos and set default playback quality. As of last week the subscriptions fail to load, does anyone have a good app recommendation that replaced tubextreme?

    My iPhone 6s' screen doesn't work anymore, is on but stays black no matter what. Everything since to be working fine, my Alarm just rang 5 minutes ago..

    Hi guys,

    yesterday evening I came back home and my phone was working fine, then the next thing I know when i check it again is that the screen is not working anymore: it's black, seems to be kinda responsive, it's on, but there's nothing I can do to fix it.

    I tried an hard reset, I tried to put some pressure on it, I tried to restore it with iTunes, but nothing seems to work..

    It kinda looks like something it might have happened with the wifi and the updates when I came home or something, because it was really sudden.

    To be clear the screen is black but you can tell it's on and it doesn't show any apple logo or anything even when I hard reset it, even though it goes into recovery mode because it's the only way my computer can connect to it and try the restoration.

    It looks like the phone is working even though the screen is not, since I've just been able to unlock it with muscle memory and my PIN..

    Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I tried to look it up, but all I can find are post about the BSOD and how the hard reset will solve everything, which is not my case here :(

    Hi! Probably the ios version I'm running on my iphone, is gone mad. If I press once the power button I have two response: nothing happened, it's like if I press it two time and rarely it work normally. Then, another problem. When I reboot my iphone, it goes on bootloop on the apple mark and doesn't start until I press power+home. And also these method for start my iphone works once yes and once no. How could I resolve it?

    I added an old email to my outlook app to check on it, then deleted the account off of my app. Now every time I go to add any of my other accounts, this comes up with my old email (doesn’t even ask for a password if I click “Add Account”). How do I completely get rid of my old email’s data?

    Changed the apple id region on Iphone, but not on other devices?

    Every time when I switch the region on either devices, the apple store's region on my ipad will not be switched automatically even though they are both using the same apple id account. This means if I have 3 Apple devices I have to change the region manually 3 times. Is there any solutions? Thanks.

    Since updating to 12.2 I have a problem where iOS will start a new text conversation thread instead of continuing an existing thread. In this example I asked “Dan” if he needed me to pick something up and his reply was a new conversation. Anyone else have this problem?

    So about a week ago, my iPhone X started playing the default tone for messages, and when it's on vibrate, it only vibrates once and very briefly. If I get a message while I'm in the message app, it's normal and how it should be. The alarm is also reverting back to default. When I go in to select the tone, it'll say that I have the tone selected, but it'll still play default, and the download all purchased tones button appears. If I click on it, it'll say checking for downloads, then disappear only to come back later. Phone calls work fine however. I've tried doing a hard reboot multiple times, and gave it a week, to see if it'd fixed itself. I'm out of ideas except for completely resetting my phone, but I don't have a computer so I can only do a iCloud back up. I really don't want to rest my phone, but I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
