$25 App Store & iTunes gift card Posted: 06 Apr 2019 05:18 PM PDT Hey r/apple, A month ago, u/dmio6 gave away a $25 App Store gift card and I was lucky enough to win. It was so fun I'm returning the favor and giving away a $25 App Store & iTunes gift card! Just post in the comments an app or movie you'd like to get if you won. The giveaway is from now until Wednesday, April 17th at 11:59 EST. I will pick a winner by adding ?sort=random to the URL and refreshing 3 times. The individual with the first comment on the 3rd refresh will be the winner--but if you posted after the time ended or have multiple entries, I will randomize again. I've contacted the mods & submitted the App Store code to them and they've approved the giveaway. Good luck! And whether you win or lose, if you want to make your money go farther on the App Store, check out r/mdmdeals to find my curation of just the best apps & movies on sale. [link] [comments] |

OSX News +'s poor keyboard & mouse support Posted: 06 Apr 2019 10:14 AM PDT Anyone else find it insane that you have to hit command+[ or ] to turn pages? Why not the arrow keys or something you can do with a single finger? Meanwhile if you're using a 3rd party mouse you're out of luck for turning pages. I assume with a trackpad or Mighty Mouse you can swipe but you can't build interfaces solely around that without also supporting a standard mouse. While we're at it why is there no forward and back button like a web browser or as seen in the App Store? One of the great things about the Mac is you always had many different options for performing a task, and in News + we have two, one of which requires the user to look up the keyboard command and press two keys (when all your keyboards have arrow keys!), and the other which isn't available to all users. Sleep timer for any media on iOS! Posted: 06 Apr 2019 04:30 AM PDT This may be a relatively well known thing, but I was amazed when I found out that the clock app on iOS can be used as a sleep timer for any media. Simply start playing whatever media you want, then open the clock app. In the clock app, create a timer and set the "When Timer Ends" property to be "Stop Playing" This works great with apps like Spotify that don't have a built-in sleep timer. Native Alexa app for Mac - useful? Posted: 06 Apr 2019 06:58 AM PDT More details including download at https://voiceinacan.com/mac/ This is a side-project/passion project. I'm trying to get a feeling as to whether or not this is something people would use. The beta that is available expires at the end of June. Demo: https://youtu.be/vRY4tDlkMNI It is already available for the Apple Watch and iPhone [link] [comments] |
Sticker Stash - Create and organize your own iMessage stickers! Posted: 06 Apr 2019 09:21 AM PDT Hi Reddit, This is the first app I've released on the App Store and I'm really proud of it! Since iMessage stickers were released I've wanted a clean, modern app that allowed me to create my own sticker packs. I could not find any good option on the App Store and so I decided to make my own. Here is what you can do with it: – Create stickers using your own images imported from the Files or Photos apps (PNG, JPEG and animated APNG files) – Organize your stickers into sticker packs – Edit sticker packs, including their icon, by dragging a sticker on to the sticker pack's tab image – Mark stickers as favorites, and access your favourite stickers in the Favorites tab – Reorder your stickers and sticker packs using Drag and Drop – Adjust the size of sticker previews to your liking – Share your sticker packs with friends who have the app – Use an optional dark mode to let your eyes rest – Send your stickers to friends in the iMessage app You can find the app here: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sticker-stash/id1369777496 Any feedback is appreciated! I hope others will find this app useful. 🙂 [link] [comments] |
