How to switch between non-fullscreen apps with trackpad gestures? Posted: 28 Feb 2019 06:03 PM PST Just got a new MBP. I had one back in 2010 and remembered you were able to switch between apps by swiping left/right with 3 fingers. Now, it seems like that is only possible with fullscreen applications. Is it still possible with non-fullscreen apps? [link] [comments]

Sound ON and closed lid - is this safe? Posted: 28 Feb 2019 08:33 AM PST Hello, I'm using my Macbook Pro in desktop mode - external monitor and closed lid. I'm wondering if it's safe to play music with closed lid... You know, speakers do their vibrations etc. [link] [comments]

Advice needed On Late '13 Macbook Pro Issue Posted: 28 Feb 2019 03:14 AM PST Wife got a Macbook Pro used a few days . Worked like a charm that night. Yesterday she complained that the unit was freezing, so should restarted it and then it began freezing right after the login screen. Mouse wasn't responding along with anything else. So I thought maybe that the previous owner didn't do a full wipe. I went into the Recovery OS, wiped the drive, then reinstalled Mojave. The issue is that once it finishes loading the OS install, it switches to a gray screen and nothing else. Reminds me of the blue screen of death on a windows computer. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I did some looking online but no luck, so I figured i'd pick the brains of you wonderful folk on Reddit. TL;DR Wiped harddrive and reinstalled Mojave OS and now it's stuck on a blank gray screen. Gray screen of death... [link] [comments]
Do I need a keybaord cover for MBA 2018? Posted: 28 Feb 2019 02:30 PM PST I recently just brought a MBA and already made my research on the butterfly keyboard. I know how MBA has 3rd gen butterfly keyboard with the extra membrane of silicone, but there are still reports of keyboard failing so I'm quite skeptical. Now my question is should I purchase a keyboard cover to prevent dust from getting in or I don't have to worry about my keyboard failing? [link] [comments]
Why are some refurbished models with better specs cheaper than others it's counterpart? Posted: 28 Feb 2019 02:27 PM PST I'm looking to buy a refurbished Macbook Pro and I see some models cheaper or the same price as the same model but that same model has worse specs. (Year is the same and specs are the same). Can someone shed some light? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
