    More info: The screen is not damaged, and it has is a screen protector on the screen and a phone case on the sides and back.

    Works perfectly.

    Second iPhone Xs logic board

    So recently (about a week ago) my iPhone Xs died. I couldn't reset it and it didn't respond to charging. I took it into my local apple store and found out the logic board had died. Got a replacement ad everything has been fine with the new handset until today where the same thing has happened with a completely different phone. Could this be software? iOS or a particular app? I'm going into the apple store again this afternoon but I worry they might say it's something I, doing if it's happened again with a different phone. For the record, I treat it like I've always done. Just web browsing, pictures and at the time all I did was set a timer on my phone (the previous time it was loading an app) and the screen just goes black

    With new OLED iPhones, I wish Apple would allow front LED notification lights...

    So anyone who's had a blackberry or older android devices knows what I'm talking about... the cool little LED light on the front of the phone that would light up when the phone was locked to nonchalantly let you know you had a new text, email, missed call, etc.

    Unfortunately, iPhones never had this feature. HOWEVER, something that I find interesting with new OLED displays is quite interesting, and I wonder if Apple would ever consider doing it.

    Since the new iPhones with OLED displays can activate only certain pixels on the display (so if the screen is black, it can turn on certain pixels; this is how Android phones use this for the "Always-On" display where it shows the date and time).

    Why can't Apple use this technology and put it to the left or right of the notch just making a little glowing light pop up while the phone is locked to allow us to see if we have a waiting notification?

    I think it's a really cool and convenient idea. It doesn't require an actual LED light to be built into the phone, it just uses the pixels in a dot-like figure in the notification bar area to just glow. It may not be as bright as a real LED, but it's a pretty cool feature. And all it would take is an iOS update.

    Would anyone care for this? I would. I miss those LED notification lights so much. It's very useful IMO.

    Very dark question, I know.

    A friend's brother passed away suddenly last night. Somehow, paramedics were able to get into his phone and call his father. I assume his phone was unlocked.

    BUT if you keep your phone locked, how can anyone find out who your next of kin is? Or do you just have to keep your phone unlocked at all times in case of emergency?

    iPhone XR won’t force reboot, won’t open any apps

    Hello! My iPhone XR refuses to function normally. First it refused to hang up on a call and randomly started vibrating for an hour. Now it refuses to open any apps (they just flash whenever you click them) and won't shutdown. I tried connecting to a Mac and it refuses to trust the computer, force reboot doesn't work, the power button won't turn the screen off unless it times out and no matter what it will not function right. Any solutions? The closest Apple store is an hour away :(

    No sound on videos

    iPhone XS Max has no sound on videos but all other sounds work. Facebook, and YouTube video have no sound. Ringtones, notifications and all other sounds work fine. Am I missing something?

    XR battery drain fast

    What's wrong with my xr? It was about 71% before I went to sleep and now I wake up and only have 52%.. I have not expected the xr, I have it for 2 days and the battery is bad it is faster empty. I do not understand it. Background updates and so on are all off. Wi-Fi was also off... And i am using it normal i have no games etc.. but the battwey drain so fast like my 6s... Really weird..

    Not too sure why this is happening, but when I start iTunes and then plug my phone into my PC, iTunes gives me an error saying that it can't detect my phone. How can I fix this?

    I'm thinking about switching to Apple, and i'm confused as to why the X is not shown on their webpage anymore. Is it discontinued? Is it still supported by Apple, like does it still get software updates?

    I've been looking at getting the iPhone 8, as the XS is a bit pricey, and the XR's screen seems to be weak compared to the rest of the X line. The X doesn't seem to be a lot more expensive then the 8, so I was wondering if I should get that instead?

    Love my SE but the battery isn't doing it's best, I can't go a few hours without having to charge it. Where's the best place to get a replacement? My local phone dealer on the high street said he can do it for £25.

    Should I buy a battery off eBay and do it myself? Or should I go to apple and have it done officially?

    So with dark mode enabled on my MacBook, iMessage looks a bit weird with effects. When you use invisible ink, it makes a huge box over things.. wondering how they will fix this on iPhone

    Trying to active old iPhone 6 carrier locked AT&T

    Hey guys, I figured since an I had an old iPhone 6 lying around that I could swap a Verizon SIM into it and hoped it would work. It was purchased a few years ago off eBay but was never activated on my own network at the time, because I immediately ended up taking a job out of the country until just last week.  

    Unfortunately it is still locked to AT&T, but I'm assuming that the phone has been long paid for from the original contract. I tried contacting the seller but I am getting zero response. Doesn't look like they've been active on eBay in a while.  

    Long story short I tried going to AT&T's website to unlock but their service requires an account name and account number. Which I have no way of knowing, due to no response from seller.  

    Is there any hope of using this on Verizon or is it just an iPod touch at this point?
