What happened to Steam for Apple TV? Posted: 24 Feb 2019 10:21 AM PST Hi. The Latest news are several months old. Is there any indication that they are still working on getting it for the platform or is it completely dead? [link] [comments]

Playing pc through Apple TV or keeping on delegate hdmi inputs? Posted: 25 Feb 2019 02:01 AM PST Sorry! Typo in title. Should be 'seperate' not delegate! Anyway, Hello! I'm new to Apple TV but have recently purchased a 4K one. Currently attached to my tv via hdmi is a media PC. I'm used to using this - catching streaming services via the web browser and playing media files stored on the PC. When I attach the Apple TV to the screen I'm wondering if it willl be best to just run the pc and Apple TV to the screen independently on different hdmi inputs - or is there some way to run my PC via my Apple TV and get benefits in terms of sound/picture quality in some way (I have an atmos compatible soundbar). Thanks heaps for the help!! [link] [comments]
Using An Apple TV 4K with a non 4K receiver Posted: 24 Feb 2019 09:54 PM PST I was wondering if it was possible to force the Apple TV 4K to output at 1080p in order to avoid HDCP 2.2 errors. I have a 4K Samsung tv with a non 4K Sony receiver. My current devices (Xbox one and Xfinity box) output 1080p only through my receiver and it looks great and acts like it should. I want an Apple TV in order to watch my purchased shows and movies, but do not want to upgrade my receiver just yet. I am fine watching everything in 1080p, I'm just wondering if the Apple TV will allow that without giving me HDCP errors. I think my other option is to run the Apple TV directly into my tv and then an optical cable from my tv to my receiver, but I'm not sure if the sound quality will be as good that way. I want to 'future proof' myself for when I have a new receiver in a year or two. Does anyone have experience with this or any insight? Any help would be appreciated prior to buying the ATV. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Feb 2019 07:50 PM PST So my kids watch quite a bit of PBS Kids and that app is tied into the TV App and I have it turned on. Any show that they watch ie Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Odd Squad shows up in the TV App but under Prime Video. So watching those shows in PBS Kids is somehow triggering the TV App to think they are playing in Prime Video. It's not a huge problem but it will play the incorrect episode if they use the TV App because it will open from Prime Video instead of PBS Kids the next time they watch. Any suggestions? Trouble with Apple TV & Pioneer amplifier Posted: 24 Feb 2019 02:20 PM PST Hi, So, I've just got an Apple TV 4K, love it, but the problem is that I'm seemingly unable to leave it on standby... I've got my Apple TV connected to a Pioneer SC-LX901 AV Receiver which is in turn connected to a set of ceiling speakers, wall speakers & subwoofer in the room. The problem I'm having is that if I leave the Apple TV on standby for any extended period of time, the Pioneer receiver sees the Apple TV as 'off' and then shuts down itself and then I'm completely unable to select the right input on the receiver again to get the Apple TV back on. The only way to combat this is to turn off both at the wall every time I've finished using them and then back on again next time I'd like to use, having to wait a few minutes for them to both boot back up. Obviously I'd like to be able to leave my Apple TV on standby and not have to keep turning it off and on every time I'd like to use it. If anyone has any thoughts on something I'm doing wrong or needs more info please let me know. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Feb 2019 09:47 AM PST I've been having a problem with my Bravo App for a few months now. When I click an episode on the app it goes to the screen with the circle that spins and then goes back to the home screen. Happens every time with every episode. I've deleted the app and downloaded again and disconnected from my cable account and reconnected. All other apps work fine. Anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]
