Is Keyboard Repair/Replacement Covered for 2018 MacBook Air? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 12:08 PM PST Can anyone confirm if the 2018 MacBook Air is covered under Apple's warranty and/or Apple Care+ for keyboard repairs. I don't see this model listed on the website for their keyboard repair program. Just bought my MBA yesterday (and it's obviously not having any issues yet) but with how prevalent this issue is, I want to ensure my product will be covered. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 08:34 AM PST I am interested to purchase a MacBook Pro (base model without Touch Bar), but trying to decide between a open box 2015 from Best Buy or 2017 refurbished from apple. Both are the same price. I also plan to purchase apple care if apple allows me too. Any thoughts from people who have experienced with one or both of the MacBook and would you purchase Apple care? Exporting passwords from safari to chrome. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 11:52 AM PST Hi everyone! I'm changing my laptop soon and am wondering if there's any way I can export all the passwords saved in my safari keychain to chrome. Would you have an idea? Thanks for your help! [link] [comments] |
Can anyone recommend products to protect my MacBook? Hard shell? Sleeve? Keyboard cover? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 02:52 PM PST Hi, I'm generally a clumsy person so I just want to err on the side of caution. Can someone recommend a brand of whatever I can use to protect my MacBook Pro from scratches and dents? I have a random laptop sleeve from my old dell but I'm not sure if that's sufficient. How do I rank 1) hard shell 2) sleeve 3) skin 4) keyboard cover in terms of importance? Should I get all of them? [link] [comments] |
New MacBook - 'could not assign applications to your account' Posted: 27 Feb 2019 08:13 AM PST Hello, Have just got a new MacBook Pro (2017, Mojave, 10.14.3), I've got updates that need to be done for iMovie, Garage Band, Numbers, Keynote and Pages. The Mac App Store says I need to 'adopt' these apps, haven't had a MacBook since my old 2008 one which ran El Capitan. However every time I click the accept button I get an error (https://imgur.com/a/PvKyKPm) Have tried signing out and back into iCloud & AppStore, Updated the Mac, a couple bits on forums say about billing information causing this, however I have correct billing information linked with my account, I know its correct as I'm billed for iCloud storage monthly. Anything else that could be causing this? its annoying that I've got updates that I can't do. Thanks :))))) [link] [comments] |
Feature to only open up minimized tabs on active desktop? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 11:29 AM PST I'm sure this has a very simple answer that I'm missing. I often use multiple tabs on my macbook, and when I open a minimized tab, it almost aways pushes me to a completely different desktop. This is obviously often an inconvenience. Is there a way to set the settings to only open minimized tabs on the active desktop you are currently using? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 10:51 AM PST I want to purchase a MacBook, as I want a reliable laptop that will last long (5-6 years?), I usually just write on it, and I play Civilization 6, so it has to be able to run it smoothly. Which one should I buy? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 06:56 AM PST So I've got a 2018 MBP with the 87w charger that I take around with me. I like that the plug separates from the brick as it makes packing easier, but the plug is turning everything in my bag into Swiss cheese. Is there a UK plug compatible with the 87w brick that can fold the pins? I've had a look around but I can't find anything. Just wondering if anyone here has come across anything like this before. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 01:52 AM PST 4 questions: 1. Will the 2017 MacBook Pro 13" no Touch Bar model with 8gbs ram will be able to run Windows 10? 2. How much free storage do you get with the 128gb ssd? How much does Windows takes for its installation? 3. Will windows run smoothly with Bootcamp? 4. Can I install Windows on an external SSD and only when I'll want to use Windows I'll simply connect the SSD? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
