Posted: 25 Feb 2019 08:46 AM PST (Mini rant warning) Like. Seriously. There's practically no organization to the sub at all. It's littered with endlessly reposted questions and tips that are done to death. There's no css, rules, wiki pages, guides, etc. Other Apple and tech subs have weekly sticky threads to handle common questions and proper flairs to organize posts. We could have a well documented wiki of gestures, tips, and common troubleshooting info. Setup chat rooms for live help. Really lots of potential going to waste here. Heck r/Android is in a better state than this sub. [link] [comments]
[request] Tracing the walks on one map Posted: 25 Feb 2019 07:40 AM PST Hello, im searching for a software to trace all my walks paths on the ONE map (like Google Street View Trekker backpack) The goal is to see where i already walked and where im not to finally build a big walking map of my walking. Work moved locations, iPhone thinks I'm still at the old location. Posted: 25 Feb 2019 07:26 AM PST iPhone XS Max, fully updated iOS. Hello! So this past weekend, the business I worked for moved buildings. We're miles away now, but my phone still thinks that we are at the old location. This is whether I have wifi on or not. I have reset all settings on the phone, didn't help. I've read online to add _nomap to the SSID but I do not have access to the business' router. Is there anything I can do? [link] [comments]
Question / Long press to open in new tab Posted: 25 Feb 2019 07:09 AM PST Alright, so looking for advice. It used to be in Safari that I could long press on a link to get an option to open a new tab. Now that I'm on 12.1.4 I can't figure it out anymore. Sometimes I get the option. Other times I get what essentially looks like a popup on top of the current screen. Is there a setting or something I could tweak. When I read the Internet, I like to open interesting links in new tabs but keep the original page (like Google News) open. Instead, now I can only open one article at a time, and then I have to backtrack back to the previous page. Any ideas? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Feb 2019 04:35 AM PST Hello everyone, I always use my iPad to take notes at class but today something I don't understand happened. I opened the pdf document from the files app and started to write on it. I was just looking for the document to check what I wrote there today and guess what is. All of my edits are gone. Weird thing is when I tried to look the reverted versions of file I noticed that my iPad uploaded the document arbitrarily and because of this all of my writings were disintegrated into parts. How I can get them back as one? Definitely need it! Thanks for your help. [link] [comments]

New to iPhone - Question About Headphone Pairing Posted: 24 Feb 2019 03:02 PM PST Hey guys I'm new to iPhone, and I'm trying to figure out how to enable that like "smart pairing" feature that's exclusive to Beats and Airpods. I've seen videos where people turn on their Beats/Airpods that a little picture of the headphones comes up on the iPhone screen and it like connects automatically and shows the battery percentage. But I have just been using the old bluetooth method where I turn on bluetooth, go to settings, and try to connect to my Beats manually. I have an iPhone XS and Beats Studio3 headphones. What am I missing? I have tried googling "smart pair beats iphone" but I'm not sure what this feature is exactly called and thus can't figure out where to look to enable it. Any help is appreciated [link] [comments]

Unable to turn off system push notifications for Instagram? Posted: 24 Feb 2019 04:40 PM PST Hey guys, I noticed I am able to turn off Instagram notifications via the app, so I turned off my DM notifications. However, I am still getting a red bubble from iOS after receiving a new message. I tried turning off the app notifications in Settings, but it's not listed as an option among other apps? Confused and need advice. Anything helps! [link] [comments]
