Posted: 22 Feb 2019 02:13 PM PST I see there is a way to resolve this through cdbaby, but I used reverbnation to release my music. Ive talked to apple support and they only give me links to itunes connect which ultimately when i click on "artist" it brings me to a dead page. Ive spoken to them twice now and they are no help... This is a big issue because I have a publishing deal now and they wont let me release anything until me and the other artist are separated.... the only last thing i can think of is taking my music off the stores and re releasing it through cd baby in order to gain a unique artist ID that someone else isnt on.. any ideas? | Unable to boot Mac Pro 4.1 (No Chime or Video output) Posted: 22 Feb 2019 08:10 PM PST I'm trying to boot my Mac Pro 4.1 but it refuses to chime, the fans will spin up and the power button will light up steadily, but that's all that will happen. The Diag LED's indicate that the Mac is getting both 12 and 5.5v, other LED"s that are illuminated are the PG_SYS, EFI_DONE and GPU_OK. But when I reach that value it shuts down, and I cannot power it up until I connect my power cable. | Posted: 22 Feb 2019 06:19 PM PST I am a photographer and I was using a 2009 Mac Mini till late last year. I would always preview the image by hitting the space bar. Purchased a newer Mac and when I edit a picture in Lightroom/Photoshop and export the picture and hit the space bar the image will be grainy. If I open the actual preview it looks fine with no grain, this was never a problem on my old machine. Help. [link] [comments]  |

| Canceling Third-Party Subscriptions Posted: 22 Feb 2019 05:23 PM PST According to Apple's Help pages, I just go to iTunes, look at my subscriptions, and hit "Cancel." Problem is, there is no "Cancel" button shown. I've tried contacting the 3rd-party in question (Rhymes with "Funtastic...") and they say I can't cancel with them directly as my subscription is through Apple. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]  |
| Files randomly duplicated, disk space now full Posted: 22 Feb 2019 09:01 PM PST I suddenly started getting those disk space full notifications which was confusing since I don't really have many files on my mac. I then went to my files and noticed that all of my files for some reason had 20 to 30 copies of themselves which were all taking up space. When I move them to the trash and empty it it says the applications are still in use. Anyone have any suggests as to how I can sort this out? Im using a 2014 macbook pro on macOS Sierra. | Dell u2719DC not working with mid-2013 MacBook Air Posted: 22 Feb 2019 07:39 PM PST Hello reddit, Recently I purchased a Dell U2719DC display to replace the aging 19" Samsung monitor I was using with my mid-2013 MacBook Air (Intel HD 5000 integrated graphics). The display is beautiful, but I have one problem: When connected to MacBook via an Amazon Basics mini-DP to DP cable, the monitor doesn't work. I just get a "No DP Signal from your device" error on the monitor, and then it goes to sleep. If I cycle the power on the monitor, the display on my MacBook will flicker like its trying to drive the Dell... but the Dell just resumes with the same error. I've tried futzing with the display settings on my MacBook. My Mac recognizes it's connected to the Dell display, the resolution and refresh rates are acceptable. I've tried endless reboots of the MacBook and cycling the power of the monitor... no dice. I also downloaded the Display Link 5.1 drivers to see if that would fix the problem... but that didn't work either. I confirmed the cable is good. I connected the Dell display to my Lenovo ThinkStation with the same cable, and the monitor displays. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 22 Feb 2019 07:26 PM PST So, after I installed a new solid state hard drive on my (mid-2012) MacBook Pro, I've been having some issues that don't exactly seem hardware related. I was interested in reformatting/starting from scratch, so I didn't transfer any of my files to the SSD before installation. I simply replaced the old drive with the SSD and loaded up El Capitan from a bootable thumb drive. Everything seemed to be working fine, but I tried opening Safari and got the message "Safari Web Content quit unexpectedly" popping up repeatedly. I tried opening the App Store, to update to Mojave or High Sierra, but it just opened and then wouldn't load anything. I got Chrome and Firefox installed, via transferring from another Mac on a thumb drive, and they worked fine. I had no problem connecting to wi-fi, etc., and everything was loading fine. I'm wondering why I'm only having issues with Safari, iTunes, and the App Store and what I could do to remedy this. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 22 Feb 2019 05:10 PM PST sorry if this inst the right place to post this but i really need help, my friend got a new phone and gave me his old iphone 6 it had the "touch disease" problem due to bending, but it didint affect me much when the touch stopped working locking the screen and unlocking again would fix it, around 2 weeks of use the lcd turned greyish with no image after a little impact on the phone itself, but again locking and unlocking it would fix it, fast foward a few days, i dropped it on my carpet, and the phone shut it self off and when i connected to my charger it said to connect to itunes, i thougt it was weird but i connected it anyways, itunes said it needed to update so i did, when i updated it the phone shut it self off and didnt turn on till today, a week as passed still no life, i can put it into dfu mode and it connets to itunes and it says that it needs to restore, it says that it restored sucessfully but the phone does not turn on. i did opened it to see if some cable was out of its place but everything seems to be normal... what can it be? sorry for any misspeled words.[link] [comments]  |

| Unable to play or export videos from Photos app. Posted: 22 Feb 2019 03:54 PM PST I have a 2013 MacBook Air running macOS Mojave 10.14.2, and I'm using Photos 4.0, since it's the easiest way I've found to import pictures from my phone to my computer. I only do it once every few months, when my iPhone storage is getting full; so the Photos app is the only place where most of my important pictures and videos are. Today I went was checking the app and noticed that many of the videos were unplayable; however, I'm certain that I have played that and many other videos directly on that same app before. I tried exporting the video, but that didn't work either. I looked up online, and decided to search inside the Since I keep somewhat-consistent Time Machine backups, I decided to restore one. The latest pictures I had on my library were from December 9, so I decided to pick the next closest backup, which was 9.17 GB big (as opposed to 9.08 GB for the one I already had). I noticed that it grew to 10.16 GB after restoring, but when I opened Photos again, it said it had to "rebuild my library after backing up", which shrank it down again to 9.08 GB, and the videos still didn't work. It's important to note that I have restored the whole computer from a Time Machine backup sometime in January, and I remember it gave me the same "rebuilding" screen, though all the videos seemed to work fine. Desperate, I went to the Terminal. I opened both photo libraries as folders, and used The un-rebuilt library had many more videos (and images!) than the rebuilt library, though neither of them amount to the number that the Photos app reports - which means there are still a bunch of thumbnails with no file behind them. After that, I tried manually rebuilding the library by holding Option and Command, as mentioned in this article, which didn't work either. I honestly have no idea what to do now. It's really important to me to recover those files, because many of them are photos and videos of my family, or my significant other, or vacations, or even just things I liked and captured. I'm also curious to know if anyone else has experience such an issue before, because the behavior feels so inconsistent to me; and so unlike Apple. [link] [comments]  |

| Safari Websites don't remember me & can't save password into key chain Posted: 22 Feb 2019 02:54 PM PST Hey, first of all, I am totally new to Mac OS and Safari itself, so I am having troubles with the basic stuff. Google isn't a help at all. Short story: Safari doesn't remember that I visited the website and I can't save new password with the key chain. The problem I am having is that if I open a new site, I have been before, I always have to log myself in again. Even if the website is open on another tab. I do have to agree to the terms of service, cookies and all the other stuff every time. My MBP is connected with the iCloud, so I can use the key chain for password I saved while I was on my iPhone. But I can't pr my MBP doesn't ask me if I want to save new password when I am working with it. I have to save it on my iPhone. I haven't set up my MBP when I got it, I had help from someone I am no longer friends with, so I can't ask. Both problems are really annoying. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. I'm wondering if I can change my default music player from Apple Music to Spotify.
