I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13-inch early 2015 model. But I can't find any batteries for exactly that model. They're showing as not fully downloaded, so they're blurry and you can see the downloading circle but it won't finish. She can't airdrop, email, text, or share them via a shared album. Her software is fully updated and her phone is only 2 months old. any suggestions?? | Any way to disable horizontal scrolling with SHIFT+MWHEEL? Posted: 06 Feb 2019 08:57 PM PST Currently running OS X Sierra 10.12.6 with a Logitech G602. I find that whenever I'm in a game that requires me to scroll for any reason, I can't do it while holding down SHIFT. This is because apparently it defaults to horizontal scrolling if you hold down SHIFT. Is there a way to disable this feature? It's not a major issue, but it's really annoying. I've tried looking online, but I've only been able to find solutions for the Apple Magic Mouse, which I am currently not using. But a second too late I realized the text looked funny. I didn't input any username or password but I still click on the link on my iphone!! Now, I don't know if this is just coincidence, I keep getting a notice on my iphone that says... "Hmm...Is your device having internet connetion issues? Please check your device settings and try again once you're back online. NC-101" I have never seen this msg before and it's popping up in places, like at home, where my internet connection should be strong. I'm kind of freaking out and wondering if now someone has remote control and viewing everything on my iphone! And yes, I'm stilling using my phone...I have no choice, I am a nursing student and I don't have time to go to apple! | Posted: 06 Feb 2019 08:20 PM PST I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. My MacBook Pro upgraded to Mojave by itself, and so far it's been nothing but a nightmare. When I first installed it, absolutely everything on my computer slowed to a crawl. With the help of apple support, I fixed that problem. Now, after I open my laptop after shutting it, the screen freezes and I can't type my password or do anything. I don't think it's good for my computer to be having to constantly hard-restart every time I want to unlock it. Is this a known issue with a solution? Any help is appreciated, thank you. | 1 of 2 External Monitors Goes Black, But Cursor Still Shows Posted: 06 Feb 2019 07:47 PM PST Ok, so I have read about a similar problem where users have a black screen on their MacBook with just a cursor showing on login, but my issue isn't that as mine only effects external monitors. I have a 6 month old MacBook Pro (no touchbar), with two external monitors hooked up via USB-C to HDMI adapters, one is an Apple adapter with an HDMI, USB, and USB-C port on it, the other is a straight USB-C to HDMI adapter. Occasionally, one of the monitors will go black and will stay off for anywhere from 2 seconds to 15 minutes or more. I have swapped everything around multiple times, and the monitor that goes black is always the one using the Apple adapter (with USB, USB-C and HDMI). I have replaced that adapter with a new one and the issue persists. I believe this is a software issue since the cursor still shows and responds and the rest of the computer is uneffected. Any ideas? | Pictures disappearing from PDFs Posted: 06 Feb 2019 07:02 PM PST I have several PDFs that I use with GoodReader on my iPad. I noticed recently that the pictures in a few of them have disappeared. They worked fine in the past, but for some reason the pictures in the PDF are just gone. The text is still there though. I tried checking the affected PDFs on my Mac (Mojave 14.2), and they have the same problem! The files aren't corrupted, I just downloaded a fresh copy from an archive and the same problem happens. | macOS Mojave, Bose QC II, and AAC codec Posted: 06 Feb 2019 01:50 PM PST Trying to find a solution to getting my QC II's to work with AAC audio for apps that require a microphone. Basically what happens is is if I want to use the mic in the headset (Skype, FaceTime, etc) the codec switches to a really low quality SOC. This seemed to work on previous versions of the OS - or it was at least using a codec that didn't sound horrible. Anyone know how to fix? Or is this just a bug? [link] [comments]  |

For some reason, both our send read receipts are on, but when I send her messages through the messaging app, they still only say delivered, not read. The only way for it to say read is if she opens them as a quick reply when she first gets my message. Does anyone know the reason for this? Another thing we noticed is that she'll change my number under her contacts to an iPhone number, but after I send her a message it changes me back to mobile again. | MacBook Pro randomly goes to black. Posted: 06 Feb 2019 05:08 PM PST I have a MacBook Pro which is only about 3-4 years old and it is updated to OS X 10.11.6 and over the past couple weeks it has started turning off randomly while using it. I'll be using my laptop for things like home work or Netflix or things like that and all of a sudden the screen will just go black and the sound will stop. To get it back on I have to try closing the laptop and opening it back up again which works on the first time about half of the time, other time i have to repeatedly open and close it until it comes back on to what I was doing. Sometimes just the keyboard lights will come back on or just the sound with come back on and then I have to close it again and re-open it for the screen to turn back on. It's will generally do it multiple times in a row within a minute or so of fixing it but sometimes I'll go a day without it happening. It's not low battery since my laptop it charging most of the time I'm using it and rarely goes below 20% battery and I've tried shutting it down and restarting it which usually temporarily fixes it but it just keeps happening usually within a day of doing so. I need my laptop everyday for school and the nearest apple store it over an hour away so it's not convenient to bring it to them. Any suggestions on how to fix this? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 06 Feb 2019 03:40 PM PST The private/incognito mode on Safari lags for ~10-20 seconds even on things that would require no connection (like the search bar). I have tried clearing cookies and history. There is only one tab open (that being the the favorite links page)I have tried on multiple networks. I restarted my device as well. I have an iPhone XS running on iOS 12.0.1. There is still plenty of storage. My search engine is Google however it looks like the problem is on Safari's side. | 2007 Imac crashes as it starts up. Posted: 06 Feb 2019 03:37 PM PST When I turned on my Imac, the progress bar under the apple advances a little bit, and then the Imac shuts down. This problem only began after the power to my house shut off and came back on a few minutes later. The computer was not in use at the time. So, I had created a new start up, and used my snow leopard disk to reinstall osx on it. I wanted to update to El capitan, but first I needed the 10.6.8 update installed. When I tried to update it would get stuck restarting; more specifically, it would stop all processes, flash a sky-blue screen, and then revert back to an empty desktop, and still allow me to control my mouse but nothing else. The computer had been crashing often over the year from Kernal Panic thread crashing, usually once every two days. It was often a different thread crashing each time. Disk utility says the start disk is fine and repaired :/ I will gladly supply any information as asked. I was running osx El capitan. My start up runs the imacs original osx, snow leopard. Command V attempt: immediately told debugger called panic, thread 0 crashed. ......localhost launchd (1) Error fsck: posix_spawn(): 0: exec format error ......localhost launchd (1) emergency: boot task failed: fsck ......localhost launchd (1) shutting down in 3 seconds I have the crash log from command-V as a video, but it's late in the day. They do show up, however, in the iCloud.com interface. When I try to put documents into iCloud Drive, they will work on the desktop, but they don't show up on iCloud.com. So far I've tried:

I have flash blocked by default so I can't understand why this is showing up. Also it's not some dodgy link either because it can show up sometimes when I click a link from Google search results. I think some app is running in my browser and every now and then when I click a link it tries to prompt me to download flash but I have no idea what app it could be. Has anyone else experienced this? I'll give you a hypothetical: I go to google, search for something random, click the top search result, click the back button, and now all the links on that google search page are unclickable. I can still scroll up and down, there's no pinwheel cursor on the page or anything but the page is now useless. To get around this problem, I copy the current URL and open it in a new tab which works perfectly. Anyone have an idea as to what's going on here?
